    I've been using this type of system for years. Been through the Bose systems, the Turbosound systems, and the LD Systems. This EV 30M finally has the feature set that I've been wanting and missing. I have one on order and I can't wait to try it out.

      @@jreid641 I am debating between the 30m and 50m. I play just solo gigs, a lot of outside. But i plan to expand to a 4/5person band. Do you know if you use two 30m’s, if you’re able to utilize all inputs from both speakers? 4 inputs on each speaker- making 8 inputs?

    they look good. I am trying to figure out, if you have two, is there a unit without a mixer and you run it from the mix out from the main? or can you connect two together to give you double the amount of channels. only one aux send for fold back?

    • @madness8556
      @madness8556 Рік тому

      I have a pair of Evolve 30M and from what I can see, you can't double the inputs by hooking them together like you can do with the Yamaha Stagepass 1K or Evolve 50M with its Ethernet connectivity. You can obviously run them as a stereo pair or use the mixer on one unit whilst the other unit is used as a matching satellite speaker for a bigger sound.

    The Bose L8 pro is supposed to be the kiddy now with 180 deg sound. Why then would I choose the Evolve 30M? Genuine question as I'm being recommended the EV over Bose.

    • @madness8556
      @madness8556 Рік тому

      You'd choose the Evolve 30M because it's much more feature packed with way more DSP and double the inputs, not to mention the superior build quality. The L1 Pro 8 sounds great and has a wider sound dispersion but the Evolve 30M also sounds fantastic in its own right and you don't have to spend a small fortune on a Bose tonematch mixer to get the extra inputs that come with the Evolve 30M as standard equipment. I was so impressed with the Evolve 30M that I bought a second one for larger gigs and to run in stereo. They also look fabulous in white.

    I have used both EV's & JBL for over 4 decades of gigging. From a hard decision, age & weight being a factor, I sadly parted with my JBL rigs,. I now have accumulated 5 sets of Evolve 50's, I do not regret it, I have to say I was dubious about the China link but am happy to say EV have retained the EV speck both in components, sound quality & a finesse styled finish. You state 500w Sub & 500w Satellite total 1,000Watts. You don't mention RMS, Why?...

    How would you compare the 30M to the RCF JMIX8? I initially bought the RCF but it bricked after I updated it. I got to a gig and it literally wouldn't turn on. Can't decide between a different JMIX vs the 30M. What would you pick?

      Oh my goodness I’m so sorry to hear that. I have had a great experience with my Jmix8 I’ve had it for almost 2 years However I cannot lift the darn thing my husband, who is also my roadie, has to lift it. Since I do a lot of solo work I need something that’s lighter than 65 pounds! I have about 5 PM systems and still not satisfied LOL

      Geri Blount nice to have a roadie! I’m on the hunt for a portable PA that’s light, has phantom power, and at least a 7band main EQ w a 3 band on each channel. So the JMIX was gonna be perfect but just a little scared of reliability now.

      As long as you don’t mind what it looks like. A sound bar with Bluetooth sub would honestly be a better setup. If you match it with your tv brand you can even use the same remote.

    How do they sound?

    • @GetintheMix
      @GetintheMix 4 роки тому

      As with all speakers, the best way is to hear them demonstrated in person. However, we can say they do sound great with good detail up top without being too bright and have a tight bass response from the 10" sub. If you've heard Electro-Voice speakers before then that's a good reference point, their quality is nicely consistent across their speaker range.

All it takes is a drunk uncle at a wedding reception suddenly realizing he's only been dancing with the pretty children for far too long, feeling overly self-conscious, losing confidence in his dance steps, tripping and grabbing your brand new, $1,299.00 (+ Tax) Electro-Voice EVOLVE 30M by the neck, effectively breaking it in two, with that speaker/head part popping-off and crashing onto the shiny, hard, multi-use room, dance floor, no?
