CSX Q141 Cincinnati to Winchester, Kentucky

Nocturnal cab ride in 2001. The high pitched noise you hear in the cab is a fan, which is switched off at Cynthiana. It was extremely hot in the cab and this was before air conditioning was installed in locomotives.

That sure was a fun ride and one of my last trips to Corbin before transferring to the B&O seniority roster in Cincinnati. Glad you got to ride!

Them was some real intermodals back in them days, TOFC/COFC. Not these damn double stacks now.
