Learning curve for angular is bigger and that is why some people are afraid of it.... We can see that you are pretty biased toward react which is not an framework but just a library if you even know that, so of course angular is more heavy weight... In the video the author has explained everything well this is big improvement with Ivy compiler, size is smaller because tree shaking can be preformed to angular itself as well, however this influences performance, which means it is little bit more demanding in processing power. Every tool has its good and bad sides, nothing is black and white...
Thats why no one is using angular apart from some companies who dont have sense of selecting framework 😅😅😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
