All of the reporting suggests we are planning on spending a lot on our right wing position. We still need a GK, Central Defender and a backup striker.
£60m on RW, £20m on DCL, £20m on GK and £30m on a defender is still decent spending.
I’m not keen on DCL but it depends if we keep or sell Wilson, if we keep Wilson that’s decent enough but if DCL is a replacement for Wilson then we still need another striker as DCL is just as injury prone as Wilson.
Ide say the same to Dom going from one club that ain’t won anything since 95 to Newc who ain’t won a thing since 1957

As an Everton fan I can’t help but not want Calvert-Lewin to leave he’s my personal favourite striker ever and has some incredible times with the club, I wish him all the best if he does leave but I will miss him very much. ❤

Newcastle delineated a sensible plan to grow over the years and they have a good manager. In this case, however, I think they’re aiming too low, no disrespect intended.
There are far better players abroad for that price. Maybe Howe wants to keep some homogeneity in the squad with home players.

Well 1 of 2 things will happen, everyone will not be shocked to see him bag maybe 10 goals over a 3 year period and spend 50% of the time injured. Or he will be the best impact sub, bagging 15-20 goals a season playing 20/30 mins a week, taking it easy and everyone will say best 20m every spent. Either way it's a risk and I'd rather see 20m spend on a young player who may never make it than a half average injury prone relegation fodder
