      Grazie. I am an intermediate student in Italiano and struggles are: Gaps in speaking. The grammar is the stumbling block - it is like a giant l’insalata mista. n

    I voted German as well. The word order and preposition do not seem natural even after practice, and it's a huge struggle.

    Just left a comment under the poll, but I'd like to add, I think my biggest struggles when learning a new language is to find the right material (especially when it is a rare language or full of dialects) and to find a place to practice.

    I'm learning Turkish, and am pretty close to being fluent (or so I feel). I'm currently looking for a fourth language that I might be interested in... and Finnish seems like it so far!!

    Thank you Stefano! I think you are so cool! I am enrolled in French and also Italian Uncovered, and am participating in French Bootcamp. I have also been studying Chinese for many years and am learning to read this year. My biggest challenge is that I like to go very slowly and review a lot, maybe too much. But this way I have fun and feel less stress while learning. I like textbooks. I also practice on LingQ. I like to do easy exercises on Babble and Chinese Skill too, again with a lot of review.

    Well, I have been learning Croatian for almost one year now. When I started learning it I would have thought I would have progressed much more then it feels that I have. I am just wondering in general... are there languages which are just not meant to be learned for some people 😂 or is the struggle just normal? I study every day, take 3 hours lesson (per week) on italki, read every day. But it’s so damn hard. As I only learned Dutch as another foreign language I have not much to compare. As a native German speaker it was pretty easy to learn Dutch, compared to Croatian now. I wonder, will I ever be able to handle this language? Anyway... looking forward to seeing your video. They are always helpful to me. To matter what topic you are talking about. Stay safe and healthy and all the best from Vienna.

    Hi Stefano, I grew up bilingual (German and Croatian - my other languages are English, French and Russian) and I would like to know whether you have ever tried to learn a Slavic language?

      @linguaEpassione  3 роки тому

      Hi Petra, thank you for watching and for asking! Not yet, I've never even looked into a single Slavic language up to this day. Maybe one day in the future a Slavic language will woe me and then a new story will start :) It just hasn't happened yet ;)

    I speak 5 languages: Arabic 100%, German 100%, English 75%, Turkish 75% and finally French 50% unfortunately, cause haven't used it for a long time. I am currently concentrating on English and Turkish. What would you best recommend to improve these languages? Is there also the possibility to learn a new language or should I optimize my current languages so that I don't get confused?

    Il link al sondaggio è scaduto, credo.
    Cmq io parlo un po' di francese(studiato a scuola), inglese(sono autodidatta da due anni) ;
    Recentemente ho cominciato a studiare portoghese e giapponese, sempre autoditatta usando pimsleur e anki in combo.
    Mi piacerebbe più avanti, magari fra un paio d anni, imparare un po' di rumeno e anche una lingua araba(o il farsi).
    Effettivamente... uno dei problemi più grossi è restare concentrati su una lingua, senza subire il fascino di altre che mi piacerebbe cominciare :D
    In generale se cercavi spunti o consigli, non saprei, i canali di poliglotti come il tuo, (ma ne seguo tanti, più o meno tutti i più noti) sono eccezionali per gli spunti che danno. Però inevitabilmente capita che i discorsi sono spesso molto astratti, validi ma astratti, a volte non sarebbe male avere approfondimenti su lingue specifiche, non dico corsi, ma magari una serie di video dedicati alla struttura di una singola lingua, come per esempio fa langfocus ma più in profondità.

      Ciao Achille, grazie del contributo e del suggerimento sui contenuti. Uno degli obiettivi a lungo termine è quello di creare una serie dedicata al finlandese, un'altra all'islandese, ecc. Con tempo e pazienza... :) Strano che il link non ti funzioni, dovrebbe aprirsi la scheda "community" del mio canale. Il sondaggio è là, se per caso hai curiosità di vederlo. I think it's quite pointless to reply now after 2 years but I'll do it anyway. I'm currently learning German, for a few years. Italian schools are not the best in terms of teaching languages, so I'm carrying on learning by myself...God help me... :')

    I'm learning Spanish now, but as a Romanian there are no visible difficulties in doing it (you know "Romatic languages" are all somehow alike "gli Italiani lo sanno :)"). The only thing that puzzled me were different variations in pronunciation due to the fact that Spanish is spoken in 21 countries, on different continents.

      linguaEpassione , still not working, it says it doesnt work on ipad and thats all i have.
      Anyway I’m studying Spanish and Polish. I worry that i am studying too much in the wrong areas and not enough speaking and listening. I would love to get an idea of or see a video about what a typical weekly study timetable might look like and how many hours a week to devote to different areas like grammar, listening, speaking with language partner ect..
      I’m really keen to create a weekly study plan that i can tweak each week. Kind of like how a personal trainer or someone makes a fitness plan for their fitness goals, but this for languages. I wanna make sure im devoting the write amount of study time in the right areas and putting as much time in as the language experts like yourself.
      Something i just thought .. as im spending too much time on duolingo snd memrise and not much else at the moment.
      Great channel!
      Thanks
      Jack
