- This video describes a complete design to production procedure for Timber Reciprocal Frame structures that has been developed during my graduation project. The developed Reciprocal Frame Designer enables a fast creation of new structural forms in the Rhino-Grasshopper environment. It includes the geometrical and structural design of the complete Reciprocal structure.

amazing video, thank you
I'm baffled, amazing work!!
Brilliant work...!!
Thank you so much!
Thanks all for your comments and interest. Please check the links in the description for more information about the definition and how you may be able to create one yourself. All information on how to do so is written under the links in the form of a report and a research paper. If you have any questions feel free to contact.
All you need is the pattern. The big deal is the fitted joints, which is nice, but not necessary to be successful. Simply use different traditional joinery and you easy reproduce this structure from anything. Cool design, easy to replicate affordably, too.
Hi Tom, great job, I've been reading your essay and trying to replicate the RFD but I'm stucked... I was wondering if you could help me? Is there any way you can show or share more about your definition? I am an architecture student in Buenos Aires, Argentina and I'm really interested in this kind of technology. Hope we keep in touch... Thank you
HI, amazing work. Can you please
share the grasshopper code of this design..
Would be nice if you show a tutorial of how to build the reciprocal frame definition for grasshopper.
im interested as well.
Yes pleaseee
So confusing yet so interesting. Can I just pay you to design my roof please
you'd think with AI they could modify the text-to-speech to know how to say "re-cip'-ro-cal" from the dictionary. :) re·cip·ro·cal
At least it does not make a usable Structural Design :) imgur.com/KH2qa3t
