13:27 useful tip in this situation if you dont have a quickshifter, you become the quickahifter. clutchless shifting is a thing I do all the time, rev matching to shift, off throttle upshift, rev up/throttle blip to downshift.
Yeah this, a necessary skill to learn exactly for this.

6:22 I did the same exact thing difference was I hit the mini van in front of me. Head first through the back windshield. Saw the kids in the back seat. Had to go to the ER. Was only wearing a T shirt and jeans. Thank God for a full face helmet. Some scars on my arm and a wrecked bike is all that came out of it..again, thank God. I now wear gear everywhere I go and pay more attention
7:52 word of advice from someone who rides in big groups a lot. if someone raises a hand signal I.e. stop/cop, the whole group needs to signal so those behind that can't see up front know what's going on and is better prepared for it and can react accordingly. this is a prime example of what happens when those behind don't know what is going on up front and vice versa. it is also a good idea for the leader and tailer to have a coms system so ppl don't get left behind.
You forgot to add another very important point when group riding - ALWAYS ride staggered so you can see what the rider 2 biikes up is doing. No good watching the guy immediately in front. Your reflexes aren't quick enough.
Those 360 cameras belong in the trash.....

There are heroes and there are zeros. The heroes will leave a slightly bigger gap to a bike then to a car when driving behind. The zeroes will ride your ass with no space between.

When will it become law to wear ALL the right gear? I have absolutely no sympathy for these halfwits in shorts or T shirts and runners and many without even gloves. The very first thing you do instinctively when you fall is put your hands out to protect yourself.

100% agree. I've been stuck behind "sight seeing harleys that hog the road and don't pay attention to who's behind them that want to pass. They are inconsiderate of others and don't ever think to pull off. They just hog the damn road.

Lets be honest Harleys CANNOT go fast around corners. Exhaust pipes are too low. They'll scrape and lift the back wheel off the road. Seen it happen way too many times.
You don't need the clutch to shift. I've shifted every bike I've ever owned over 56yrs, without using the clutch. Practice it, it's simply feeling for the synchronization of the gears through the shift peg.😅
Riding with no clutch cable, has to be the worst

Just so that people know you don't actually need the clutch to shift you only need it to get into first every other gear you can shift without the clutch and that is for all manual transmissions

Note the guy who hit the moped at 5:34 was doing over twice the posted limit, 138 in a 60 (assuming KPH).

As a motocyclist, I see that most of those accidents happens because of high speed or dangerous driving my de motocyclist... You can even see in a threatening situation, they keep heading up to make an accident and use the horn, instead of safety braking
I also see many riders not covering the front brake, using wrong technique. Tell me I'm wrong, don't mention rossi .

Here's what I'll never understand.
Having been on a bike for 25+ years, I find being on a bike is the 3rd greatest feeling. 1st- obvious... 2nd - skydiving. 3rd- riding. Of course, it is certainly a matter of opinion.

Those license plate holders under the rear fender are SO fucking dangerous, you could be riding for 15 minutes and not notice that shit. Get a side mount or one on top of your fender.

You not meant to give people water if they been in an accident without them being assessed by emergency service first, if you are going to give them something to drink, give them something with high sugar content to help with shock..
You shouldn't give them anything to drink. Sugar content has nothing to do with it. Could be fatal to move the neck or head if there is spinal damage. Also risk of water entering lungs depending on injury and if the accident victim needs surgery, water in the stomach will make surgery more complicated. You can wet their lips with water but nothing to drink.

1:59 as a biker, I HATE it when some of these motorists just don't understand that I don't want a car bumper within 2 meters of my rear end. Usually, they get the message when I just look back, others are less bright and need an extra nudge.
5:08 before doing a STOP at the STOP sign, watch your six. If there is something close behind you traveling at the same speed, don't respect the STOP sign unless there is traffic. Same goes for red lights.

@@benjaminhigham3624 excessively cold water can trigger arrhythmia though the vasovagal reflex but this is extremely rare and usually the result of an underlying condition.
The real reason why EMT recommend not giving fluids to accident victims is there is a risk of abdominal injury and giving fluids can complicate these inuries
