John Lounsbery’s scenes of the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood and King Louie from Jungle Book making dirty faces. Shere Khan attacking the hell out of Baloo. and Napoleon giving Edgar the stink eye in Aristocats.
I think it’s very amazing that while Dumbo and Bambi were in production at the same time and had different animation units, Bill Roberts got to direct sequences on both films. 😉
Bill directed sequences involving Monstro the Whale and the coachman shipping the donkeys/boys off to the salt mines from Pinocchio, the Rite of Spring from Fantasia, and in Dumbo when the little elephant is dressed as a clown and visiting his mother at the jail wagon. I still don’t know what he did for Bambi.
