I love this affect, the results are amazing.
It's my Dads birthday so I'll use this idea. He loves gardening so I'll use a different colour, using black too makes it not so feminine.

Thank you for your time to teach this skill. I did my first zentangle, Way Bop yesterday. I have micron pens but not sure what shading pencil and blending tool to get. What do you suggest? I’m a watercolorist and also dabble with inktense pencils. I’ve not done much with graphite.
I would use probably a 2B pencil for shading. You can buy tortillons or blending stumps for blending. They are tightly rolled up paper. Other than that you could use a cue tip or even your finger. I prefer the tortillons

It’s on the step out page. You have to scroll down, it’s about the 7th pattern. I only had a couple of patterns when I started but they are growing in number so it might be a good time for me to arrange them so that each one is easier to find.
@@TracyAnneWilkinson I just checked again. I find 8 step outs, however, Flocus does not appear. Is there a second page that I’m missing? Sorry!
Sorry about that LaJuania, I checked on one of my other devices and found that it wasn’t there so I have reposted it. I rechecked on other devices and it seems to be there now. Check again if you can’t see it refresh your page. If that doesn’t help, let me know and I’ll look into it further. I appreciate that you brought this to my attention.

If it makes you feel any better I played around with this idea and did 4 or 5 samples before recording this video. Even then I made a few mistakes. I purposely leave these mistakes in the video so that people can learn how to rectify them. It all takes patience and practice.
