- Join along as we get 7520 back fueled up and we wrap up the last of the disking and head home to get the planter ready to roll. Trip to Tri Valley Ceop Center to pick up the fertilizer. With parts arriving it's all go time some thinking outside of the box and some extra parts run but the fertilizer is wrapped up and ready for test run. Some leaks but farm fixes make it close to 100% Thanks for watching along.
It’s a really big accomplishment to put a crop in without borrowing money in your 2nd year of farming. My hat is off to you. Make it through this year and it’ll keep getting better.
Chris - you have nothing to apologize for or justify to your viewers. You basically are running 3-4 business operations on your own, each very successfully. Don't listen to the haters and trolls. You continue to inspire others with your experiences, and willingness to share in a very open manner.
Chris does impress me, he just seems to know how things need to work, and his ability to fix things amazes me.
The best feeling will be when harvest time comes around a you're not stuck with a huge bill . That's something to be proud of great job
Raccoon needs a dose of high speed lead.
I can appreciate your desire to cash flow as much as possible.
I really hope you are maintaining all your records to trend expenditures (fuel, seed, fert etc).
When we used to get the paint for the l i n e s on the roads there were 2000 lb of peace
Hey look at the bright side Chris. At least you ran out of fuel close to home… 😅
Chris , you do you and run your farm the way you choose to run it , your a one man band and for all you accomplished is great, ignore anyone else , Godbless you 🚜🇺🇲
as someone who does like 99% of everything by myself I feel bad when I see you have to struggle and do everything alone. It defiantly builds character lol
That light bar on the 3 point is awesome!
I really enjoy watching your videos I like the older equipment that you use
You are a hard Worker and I enjoy your Content here on YT a lot ❤
I work on a for over years on a farm it's a struggle to keep up on every thing by your self but you will get there
Thanks for the great content for us to enjoy it everyday and keep up the great work ethic out there boys
Hi Duffy I think you do great for being on your own keep it up chapy
You're doing a good job buddy just keep doing what you're doing
Some bloody good progress now Chris with the planter, Hopefully you will done fairly soon with planting.
Great job Chris it's your secound year you can only spend what you earn you don't have it you can't spend it so this or that has to wait it's the year after that you go back look over your records and you judge off that crop money in still hauling manure so you always have fall back and a big thanks and shout out to Issa and friends to get planter done and nice new truck Issa
I’ve watched your videos since you were rebuilding your tractor and truck in Massachusetts and I enjoy watching you succeed. Yup, it’s slow, but I truly believe you’re getting ahead, be it slowly. Great work ethic
Hey Duffy, use an orange spray can to mark those rocks so you can find them.
I think you are doing very well. I understand the difficulties of cash flow when running a business, particularly a start up.
Never underestimate the value of spare implement wheels/tires. My dad tried to keep some spares around. If I got a flat on an implement tire I could have it changed and get back in the field while dad ran to get the tire repaired.
Yeah always having spares and trying to keep as few different styles/sizes helps too because then you don't have to try to keep up with as many. Any trailers that I build to use for my truck(got a camper trailer planned) I want to use the same Chevy 6 lug and all my other trailers use the same 5 lug makes it nice being able to steal from one to use on the other in the pinch.
Good job on the planter. FF&F took a long getting his planter ready to plant.
Finished up some shop projects right in time. We had a fire last night. Hay bale went up in flames right after it was dropped out of the baler. Luckily we did not burn the pos Massey Ferguson baler and the legendary deutz allis 6275
Robbin Peter,to pay Paul.
Never be ashamed about making it .
You are doing fine. People have comments
A useful tip. When you are spotting rocks in the field, carry a can of yellow spray paint or a small flag with you. Paint a wide circle around the rock. It makes it easier to find them later.
There's always that somebody that says they can do it better than you but have never done it themselves keep doing what you're doing I appreciate all the time you put into your videos and thank you for what you do and being a farmer
You do you duffy mate you aspire me to keep doing what I do ..thanks mate kepp up the awesome content
keep up the good work . its smart to try to pay as you go to keep expenses down
At least you found it and didn't ruin a tire
Chris if you had an old stainless steel water truck you could put your liquid fertilizer in it. Maybe someday in the future. Can’t wait to see that day.
raccoons are a pest here. even if you capture/release they will come back...most of ours die of lead poisoning..
Its almost like the unsolicited advice/complaints have become as entertaining as the videos.. Its double the content.
Just an idea for you Chris, could you mount the tank's on to seeder so everything is ready to go when you need it,just an idea,my not be possible on the planter, love yhe content 👌,as always 👍
Hello Chris you need a 22 rifle around. Have a good day.
Duffy,
It may be too late to suggest this, but if you cut the fertilizer to 50-50 with water and double the flow, you will have less plugging and and a better flow.
They have valve stem tools you can slip it in without dismounting tire.
Chris, I heard you say (yesterday's vid) someone in the comments called you lazy. To whom ever that person is, there ain't no such thing as a lazy farmer. Chris is a one man operation and likely works 4x harder than the hardest working average people out there. I put in 15 to 18hour days when I worked for a major Wall Street firm for 30 years. My job was cushy compared to what Chris does, but make no mistake....Chris and lazy don't belong on the same planet together. He's a workaholic and no one out here hopes he makes it BIG more than I do.
I think I would have asked my banker for a 120 note for 5000
to got all this stuff done when the snow was on the ground.
Working on your planter june first is just not a good thing.
Sorry take it how you want.
Im one of them people that want to see you successful.
Granted it has been wet, but what if it would have been dry
Get a good relationship with your banker and will make your life a lot better and easier.
Hope your daughter is doing well. Take a couple days off after the corn is in and spend some quality time with her.
TRULY GOOD LUCK CHRIS !!!
I suspect the draw tubes are a little short. It’s the only thing that makes sense
Vevor makes some pretty good affordable pumps. Im sure they have a similar spec pump to have for back up
You have a great show. Unless they walked in your shoe,s the people complaining about how you farm. I think your doing great
Maybe if the pick up tube is plastic, you could put a weight near the end of the tube in the tank to keep the tube submerged? Google radio control aircraft clunk tank
Farming is not easy did it for thirty years its a struggle but you will get there
Chris make sure your manual lift pump is working on the side of fuel pump maybe when it gets too low doesnt have enough draw strength
Duffy has solutions not problems and positive cash flow.👍👍👍
lol
I hope your video"s are behind cause others will be harvesting while your planting.
Everyone's situation is different
I think your doing great. Some people have nothing else to do so they complain. They need to get a life. You gotvthis keep moving forward one day at a time.
I think you are doing things right. Make money to pay for things and stay out of debt as much as possible. Don't let the Karen spend money you dot have. you keep being you and your true fans will be cheering for you all the way!!!!!!
Hope you check your spacing on the marker arms
For a being a one man band your doing a great job. We really like your videos especially YANKO’’.
10-34-0 is alot cheaper than food grade in furrow. Plus whatever rate is placed in furrow does Not count for total lbs applied for yield goal . Its just a bonus to start .
Im curious if that suction tube is broken at thst fuel level. Its really odd that it started doing then and is fine when its full
Some people aren't happy unless they are moaning or giving unwanted advice. Don't change anything about your channel. One of the best on UA-cam. Best wishes from across the pond
Chris. Can pull that line and somehow add to it
That electric bike is paying for itself.
Ur doing quite well id say. Once u
get all equipment the way u want it. Plus doing the u tube videos
I will celebrate when you have the corn in the ground, it will be a won battle for all of us watching
Btw, I am a stupid man, I hold my breath and struggled with you with that fitting for the liquid fert, never used something like that, but since I struggled with acid when doing silage, I know the battles of those!
Can you park the combine by the fertilizer trailer then it won't be stuck
Take no notice of couch potato farm experts.... you'll find they this because they have failed in some aspect of their own lives. You have made great strides in your first year as a first generation farm owner, the fact that you've done most of it with little helps a testament to your will to succeed. You're being level-headed about investing in equipment.... no big repayments or loans, the gear you have is perfectly adequate to do the work because you have the ability to keep it operational which is a major plus with cost of skilled labour these days. Don't listen to these clowns telling you it's late to be sowing corn... we all across Europe are late getting crops because of the weather but we're getting there and you will too. The fact that you are getting your crops in from your own resources is also a major plus... come harvest you'll have more off farm income earned and your crop payments to put you in a great position for next year. If the tax structure is the same as ours here in Ireland all the parts and spares you buy during the year are fully tax deductible so it pays you to keep older gear when you have the skills to maintain it. You'll be in a very good position in a few years time if you keep a steady hand on things. Well done !
Did I hear him say the vid revenue paid for the fuel,?
I guess everything is in the same pot but that farm needs to pull weight to sustain.
I like watching him work, farming isn’t easy without top notch equipment.
Chris, don’t the other channel haters get to you. I put hate on
My trophy case, as an accomplishment of audience reach :) if you know what I mean
Manure hauling money paid for fuel. Approve support
What’s in the box.
You do you Chris and the complainers will always find something to cry about
Tractor Supply didn’t have that pump
Holy hell. Those boards on the deck of that trailer are as crooked as your repair methods! Dude get some bolts and fix the boards. That’s so embarrassing. Sheer laziness. I can’t imagine what people think when they see that going down the road.
why don,t you put your camera in the tank to look at the pickup tube to see if they are to short when it gets low and doesn,t want to run
You know with your front end loader tractor you should put a little mirror in the front that way you can see what you're doing put a mirror on the front of your front end loader that way you can see what you're doing instead of guessing
Chris. Is there sumthin floating around in that tank just asking
This is not a criticisim just a concern ,when you knocked the stone out of the discs the engine was running and i assume it was held on the hand brake,we all know brakes fail and things roll back down hill, hope you keep your phone with you all time out of the cab ,one man crews are vulnerable .besides what would i have to look forward to if it isnt your videos ,keep going and .Stay Safe.
Transmission was in park. No parking brake on those tractors.
@@Nick-tz2vl Learning every day thanks
That trash panda seriously needs a lead based rabies vaccination!!!! Keep it up Chris, things are looking good so far this year!
Don't let the pricks get you down if you make money to operate your farm it's better than taking a loan. Good job I've done everything you are doing and it's a hard life. Keep on keeping on bro 😎😎😎
Tire Ject !
Nothing is stupid if it works!
Get you a live cage and a can of sardines will catch Racoon if you want to move him out in country farther. I wouldn't risk Yenko getting rabies or whatever. If gonna kill it, get Hunter buddy to do it.
As long as Yenko has his shots let him have some fun you knock it down and let him have at it I bet it won’t come back if it gets away.
I was your 1st view!
Do you like international harvester
@@O.KFarmToysdeutzallis6275 yes
I know what I would do and you know what you need to do once you turn the camera off
Çorn in ground =profits
If land ain’t ready better to wait
Trade the 7520 for 8630 no
NO NO NO the 7520 just needs a little TLC
If you support trackor supply. You support bad things happening to or children!!😮
WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT
Hello Chris do it your way and don`t take any notice of the negative comments, say hello to Yenko for me. All the best from Paul and Zac the dog from Shropshire County, England, UK
Another great video of making progress. If there were more people like Isaiah in the world, it would be a better place.
I hear ya Chris you do you screw all the know it alls
I remember when dad put liquid on our 6rn 7000.... it was as much fun as you are enjoying! Maybe make a flat rack out of your running gear and put a poly tank on? We used a 1,000 gallon we had used for water back when we sprayed our own
Nice seeing you riding your bicycle 🚲
Who ever has called Chris lazy is batshit crazy! Yes some of his stuff is self inflicted cause he’s pulled in so many directions. Needs to get a grease board for the barn/work shop so he can write down what he needs and to help him stay on schedule
Sorry do you prefer poor time management and lacks motivation
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😊😊😊😊😊😊
Keep rolling these Videos. One of the best on UA-cam
