☆ Q: where do i buy foam/fur/mesh/etc ?
☆ A: i buy foam, fur, felt, and clay from joanns craft store - but all of these can be found on amazon too ! the "mesh" was originally bought on amazon as "window screen protector"
~ Q: how do you shape the muzzle ?
~ A: start off with a basic shape, it is best to use a reference of your animal to figure out how the mouth sits !! then, cut that shape out of 3 inch foam and attach it with hot glue to the mask. start shaving down rough edges and fixing any imperfections it might have when glued to the mask. continue this process until the desired shape is acquired !!
¤ Q: why does my paint come out so chunky ?
¤ A: in this video, i mixed cheap acrylic paint with water to help blend and smooth out any ruff areas ! make sure to layer on colors
》Q: how big/thick is the felt used ?
》A: this is a normal 9 inches by 12 inches (9in x 12in) but you might want to use a bigger sheet for masks with lots of accessories (large muzzles/ears). it is about 3mm thick
• Q: how longs does making a mask take ?
• A: working non-stop, about 7 hours 😅

Oh cool! I’m a quadrobist and I want gear too! I have all the supplies, but it’s a big deal to get it started, especially with my siblings who don’t support lol. I also need to get the hot glue gun and my parents need to give me permission blah blah blah. 😑

I showed my grandma (who doesn’t know abt therians) your mask and she said “they must be very artistic”! I showed her it without telling abt therians so I just said “there’s these people who make animal masks and I think they are really cool!” So you got a complement from my grandma!

tips for anyone:
-if your felt keeps creasing up at the lip i suggest gluing from the lip and then outward.
-make sure your felt is stretchy! it helps to make surer there are no creases
Well I have a question idk if you have to felt the mask or not is it obligated and what does it do if we do or don’t
@@Nova.The.White.Lion.you can felt the mask if wanted, felting it makes it much more realistic
if your having trouble using hot glue to glue the whole thing, use fabric glue and hot glue the edges
@@Nova.The.White.Lion.hi! this is cattedout from my second account. you don’t need to felt the mask if you don’t want to. some people prefer to just paint the mask instead of painting the felt. it’s up to you what you want to do! i felt my masks if i want them more realistic or if i want the colors to blend. for my more cartoony masks or unrealistic, ill just paint the paper mask itself.

so many people bully therians yet they know how to craft masks like these, people literally pay a lot for masks like these and it can make good money, its also just a fun harmless hobby. AMAZING WORK!

TIPS FOR MAKING MASKS (I do this!)
If you have a sewing machine, you can use that to connect the muzzle fabric of your mask to the face fabric (if you are working on something that has a longer muzzle). When extending ears, you can use duct tape to smooth out everything (literally just put strips of it on top.) if you are using foam that is floppy for your muzzle, this works as well to stabilize. Copy/paste this in other places if you want!

My adapted tutorial :)
MATERIALS:
- Mask base
- Elastic
- Scissors
- Marker
- Fabric
- Mesh
- Felt
- Cardboard
- Some form of glue
- Paint
PROCESS:
1: Remove original mask elastic, attach new elastic, and make eyes slightly bigger (into doe eyes)
2: Add some cardboard to shape the deer (make sure to use a reference photo!)
3: Start glueing the felt (make sure the top of ears are covered, glue from the middle/above eyes then move outwards)
4: Cut around the edge, create little notches, and fold them over (make sure to cut around the elastic)
5: Glue all notches down
6: Cut eye slits in the felt
7: Cut notches, fold notches, glue down notches
8: Get a reference of your animal
9: Paint your outlines
10: Fill in and blend colours with water
11: Paint your details
12: Hold the mesh to your eye and trace where you'd like it
13: Add details to eyes
14: Glue down the eyes
15: Get a nose reference
16: Attempt to recreate that nose with layered cardboard
17: Paint and add nose
18: Get mask and trace outside/under eye on the fabric
19: Cut out fabric with 1.5cm boarder
20: Cut out eyes and fit in mask
21: Glue down fabric (start from nose bridge)
22: Cut off extra fabric

on june 22nd all therians alterhumans etc will wear gear such as masks, tails, gloves etc! if you cant wear gear draw the theta delta on your hand and if you can do theta delta draw a paw print as well as other animal related things that you can draw without raising suspicion! We will do vocals, quads and look for eachother at parks, malls, trampoline parks and more! if you see someone participating in this but they are with their parents say hi and give a thumbs up and if they give one back they are a therian/quadrobist and they’re parents know but if they give a thumbs down they’re parents cant know, in this scenario just compliment them! im adding this for people like me who have strict parents
