    yep with Alibow's Fiberglass bows I changed my mind too. All the ones I shot before were terrible. Alibow's are good for the price, I just wish they would start with bending Fiberglass as many bow builders in Indonesia do. Better performing

      I find it a bit weird that these bow builders from indonesia do not set up a proper website with clear information, this seems to be a garage hobby for them with personal inquiry via facebook ... that way the business surely wont grow. We might need to wait for Alibow to join the fun, indeed !

      I think horse bows are still pretty niche. Super sketchy websites across the board to buy a decent laminate bow:

      @@kingsgambit it's hard to setup a proper big production as skilled bowyer is hard to find and they prefer to be the owner of the business than working with someone else, thus the small business nature for most of them.

      @@RoyMcAvoy I get that, I was talking more about the way these small workers/companies present their goods. Websites often look super shady and with so many online web building services it's actually not that hard to make a clean and professional looking web page for one's own small business

    Excellent again. These stronger, heavy horse bows are good for backpacking or just hunting small game. I keep one in my shed so I shoot it for a break. These bows are the warrior bows that can take a beating.

    I had exactly the same bow! I liked it very much for 3D archery. And, yes, there is a handshock, but this Mongolian bow needs heavier arrows. The bow is able to throw them and the heavier arrow reduces the handshock.

    • @HipposHateWater
      @HipposHateWater Рік тому +1

      How much handshock would you say to expect once you pair it with properly matched arrows?
      (I'm currently trying to decide between this and the Turkish for my first thumbdraw bow. I hear the Turkish is fantastic, but by my estimates for thumbdraw anchor points as someone 6' tall, I'll be really riding that 29" max draw length. Which has me leaning back towards the Ghengis Khan as the second most-widely recommended)

      @@HipposHateWater Take the Mongolian Ghengis Khan! It is much better and easier to handle than the fiberglass Turkish, exspecially for a beginner in thumb draw. I had ordered the Mogolian together with a set of matching arrows and handshock was not so bad. - I would say, all these long syah Mongolian bows kick a little, even more expensive ones....

    Any details on, say, the force of the hand shock, like how much of it if you can put into words? Cause I'm looking around on Alibow and this has been one I've been considering. My strongest bow I have now which is 40lb, the handle's been like a battering ram on my bow hand when I release. So I'm trying to see what'll give me minimal hand shock if any, good draw length (which this one has impressed me with since I love to draw 31" arrows) I love how the arrow pass on this one is, plus the siyahs being angled in a way where the bow won't unstring itself. But yeah, any other commentary on the hand shock (or minimal amount of it) would be very helpful.

    • @CharliesRunningArchery
      @CharliesRunningArchery 2 роки тому +2

      I would say that you need a strong wrist. You feel pretty much that you released in your bowhand. So in comparison with laminated bows its like 8/10 for this fibreglass and laminated is like 2/10. Did it help?

    • @DerekBartlettBeorn
      @DerekBartlettBeorn 2 роки тому

      @@CharliesRunningArchery I think so. I'll have to look up my current bow and see if that counts as a "laminated", I think it does but still. Thanks for the tip. Pun intended ->>--->

    Ahoj, vidím, že si se velmi posunul od doby co jsem zhlédl tvoje video ještě na tvém kanále o knihách. Chci se zeptat kde trénuješ střelbu, chodíš někam na střelnici nebo jen tak do lesa? Jinak pěkná práce.

    • @CharliesRunningArchery
      @CharliesRunningArchery 2 роки тому +1

      Radime, mám velkou zahradu, takže střílím nejčastěji tady. Jinak občas vyrazím někam do lesa, ale to spíše sporadicky. Tahat s sebou všechny terče a vybavení je docela náročné. Nikdy jsem v žádném klubu ani na střelnici nebyl. Potřebuju u střelby běhat, to většinou moc dobře s ostatními nejde :D

    Thanks for the nice video rewiew Charlie, can you help me please , I am studying the design of the Assyrian bow and I know that your Bogar one is 37 pounds and that it is made of two pices of Bamboo and two strips of Bearbow fibergalss , but I do not know how is the total thickniss are your bow limbs from the middle , are the total is 6mm or 5 mm or.... ?Can you measure that for me ?

      @@CharliesRunningArchery Hi , thank you for replying .If you could measure the length of the Siyah and the handle too , that would be very kind and helpful .
      The Siyah is from the inside between two pieces of bamboo lamination , as is the handle and its easy to notice, both of which end with zero thickness in order to be smooth with the limbs lamination.
      Charlie , you made me love the Assyrian bow !
