For Halloween, an idea for the little one is Yoshi 😍♥️
Hi Catherine! If you are able to get your son I there to help declutter the closet, I think putting all the clothes in there is a good idea! Maybe a cube shelf with bins for the things that can't hang. Then he cud put the stuff away that goes in the bin. They don't even need to be folded, he could just put them in there. And if the bin gets too full then he has too many clothes for that bin. That might help with the overwhelm and lessen a little of the folding, then u can just hang the other things!
I only keep coats in the closet for my kids and i have a very small amount of clothes for them. Each kid has about 1 large drawer for their clothes. I dont bother folding them. I group them by short sleeves, long sleeves, and bottoms. The baby is sorted by onesies and sleepers. Then i just throw them in the drawers as groups and it saves so much time not folding!
Get a nice decorative big basket for your blankets!
I buy only white socks and black socks....life changing! 😊
Declutter, declutter declutter.more
Hi Catherine great video as usual, just as a little tip but hopefully useful, when you said your back was burning constantly folding sorting gathering laundry, when working have your laundry facing in front of you, I have a bad habit of twisting my upper waist to the left or right not aligned with the front of my feet and causes sooo much pain on my back when I get burning feeling in my tired back I think back on what activity I was doing, and yeah I wasn’t aligned properly and didn’t balance my body equally while intensely working on a project or chore, enjoy your trip!
I think you should definitely take some time soon and work on Carson's closet project. Maybe 10-30 minutes per day so its not too overwhelming. If you are going to sell the house soon, then maybe set up his closet in the new house with some sort of simple organization from the beginning. I need to do some organization projects myself. 😊🎉
For Carson's closet, maybe remove those little containers off the inside of the door. Put all the little things from them into a lidded box, like a "junk drawer" for him. Hang one or two towel bars on the inside of the door and drape extra blankets/bedding on those.
Sue Wolfe- I have 3 grown sons who had millions (it seems) of toys and sports cards. I found that upright bookshelves were the most helpful to store the card books as well as reading books. We got them good quality ones they still have. You can fit more and have more room than that short one in Carson's room and free up some closet space. Enjoy this season of life. I miss it so!! 👌👍❤️❤️
It’s also helpful to have a twin size mattress for grade school aged kids. This way you have more space for bookshelves. A loft bed is another good option if your son doesn’t want to give up the full size bed.
Dear Catherine, you are putting so much pressure on yourself. I hope that you will be able to enjoy your little vacation not thinking about whats going on back home to much.❤❤
Enjoy your trip ❤
I'm like u Catherine, I like to come home to a clean organized house after being away & it's going to make it easier for ur mom. Hope ur trip is amazing & recharges ur battery.
For the drawers that are under the bed in your sons room, could you store the extra bedding/blankets in there? For the Monday - Sunday drawers do you still use that? If not maybe use that to store the toys from the over the door shelving. Is there anything in the closet that could go into that over the door organizer? Just trying to think outside of the box.
Hey Catherine, I love seeing your videos every week! I love seeing the before-and-after pictures of the cleanings. I can't wait to see more videos every week! I love seeing your little kiddo in the background. I hope I have the energy to get my steps in because of a challenge at work. ❤❤❤
I watch your videos each week, and I love all of them! I’m a divorced mom of 2, living in southeastern MA. In fact, I think we live relatively close to one another! My son is 11 and my daughter is 8. I have a house very similar to yours, where storage is always an issue! My son is going to be some sort of Fortnite character, and my daughter a zombie cheerleader! Lol
Hope you guys enjoyed your trip to New Orleans. I’m from New Orleans. Our cuisine is like no other. We party all night. French Quarter is a must.
Can you can take off the side rail of your sons crib to become a toddler daybed? This could help with the transition. Just get a guardrail for the bed. Your son will be able to climb on and off and it won’t be too much of a change. After he masters the potty training you can reward him with getting a big boy bed with his choice of bedding.
go celtics. you gave me the idea to send my kid to school as Tatum tomorrow
The house looks fabulous - enjoy your trip ❤
Dear Catherine, I am lovingly suggesting that your Carson does not need so many clothes & PJ’s. If you declutterred half he would still have plenty and less work for you❤️ I hope you have a lovely time on your trip.🎃🎃🎃
It’s always a work in progress with their wardrobes!!
Nice video. Got a lot done for sure. Excited about your family starting the house hunting journey.
Good morning from Australia. You are a wonderful mama. ❤❤❤You should be very proud of yourself. Have you considered the 50/50 principle for your little angles cloths. This principle basically is kids only use 50% of their clothes, the other 50% they don't and you the mama is the one who ends up washing and folding it all. It'll make your wash day easier and folding will be a breeze. Devide all the cloths and put in piles, like shirts, pants etc then grab 2 cloths baskets. Get your angles to help if it will help, eg, if they have 14 long pants 👖 leave 7, do the same for shirts 👕 and so on. Try it for a couple of weeks and see how it goes. You don't have to disgard the unused items while trials are ongoing. Put it cloths separately in a tub and store away. So the idea is as humans we only really wear 2 sets of cloths a day, day cloths and p.j's. I encourage you to try thr 50/50 principle, less washing, folding, washing basket clutter, backaches and stress. Remember you are a lovely beautiful mama ❤ 💕 💖 ♥ 💛
Have you thought about those vacuum seal bags for their bedding and store them under the beds?
I did the same thing with a hay bail, it was everywhere in my trunk 😅
Sutton can be Toad or Yoshi!
I hope you enjoyed seeing Taylor! From the videos that I've seen since the tour started, it looked like it's an enchanted place to be with thousands of fellow Swifties. I was actually lucky to be able to purchase two tickets when she came to Melbourne, Australia. However, my friend, who is a bigger Swiftie than I, wasn't so lucky. So I decided to sell my ticket to her so she could go.
I don't have kids, only furbabies- two cats. But IM going to Halloween party & I'll be dressing up as Wednesday Addams *click click*.
Also, were you at the show where the stage roomba malfunctioned? 😊
Hi! I don't think I've ever seen your Son's room like that!
Very motivating. Have fun on your trip🎉❤
I hope you had a great time at the New Orleans show. I'm a bit envious to know that you went to all of her other shows too. Please let us know how your trip went. New Orleans is definitely on my bucket list.
Thanks for a great video.
Hope your trip was great.
Take care❤
My oldest is being Beetlejuice.
My oldest daughter is being Bridget from the new descendants.
My youngest is being Bluey!
I keep my extra blankets in those vaccum seal bags and then i put them in containers in the basement
Great motivation
Hi, Catherine, Great motivation !!!! 😀🫶
My son has been wearing his blippi costume since we got it 😂🎉❤
When you said you can't get rid of the items in your sons closet, why is that?
Because her son doesn’t want to let go. She’s respecting his wishes to keep his collections.
Great video, Catherine. I hope you guys had a great trip. My daughter loves Taylor Swift. Her 11th birthday was Monday, and she asked for Taylor Swift merch 😂. See you next week.
Love your idea of hanging all of Carson’s clothes, it will make things much easier.
You look stunning in this video and your skin is glowing! Maybe we missing something like 👶or i’m wrong?
Big hugs for you❤
I hope you had a wonderful trip in New Orleans! What did you think of Cafe du Monde?
I think we all need to consider and think hard about all those new appliances. You are happy with the toaster oven (don't know what that is, it's not a thing, where I'm from) but we all are under the pressure to buy new stuff, that we don't need. Do you have an oven? Yes. Do you need a combined toaster and airfryer? No. None of us needs those things. The carbon footprint on all those appliances are just 🤯
Stop buying things you (and all of us) don't need!
My son owns his own car detailing business and the Mom vehicles are the worst😅
Yes, Carson's a bit of a "Collector"?
How do you declutter and organize to move to a new house? I'm overwhelmed!
I recommend the Minimal mom here on youtube
You pick a drawer, then a couple drawers, a closet and then suddenly, you have 1 room done! You keep going and be ruthless.
25 t-shirts is ridiculous. When would they all get worn.
He could be the mushroom from Mario Bros that would be cute!
Yay for Preschool for Sutton!
Hiii I'm the 1st to tune in 🌻🌞
Thank you for being here!!
i think your toddler should be huggy wuggy!! and it would be warm
❤
My grandsons (6 and 4) are going to be Sammy. Not sure who or what that is but I know he’s from a movie they can’t see! (Scary!) Not sure how they know about him!
Omg, lol. Definately a gorey horror movie but the costume is great!
So weird that ppl think it's their business to tell you that you have too many clothes 😂😂 lol maybe they should worry about decluttering their own clothes and leave yours alone 🥴
The clothes inventory is so high….it seems overwhelming to me. If you truly wanted to make sorting socks easier, you would choose some of the suggestions you received. It’s all about choices and consequences.
Was all this ostility really necessary? She was just stating a fact, not having a pity party about it
@@carlottabcdeyou are so right....❤
W-O-W! Way to support one another 👏🏻 u killed it! 🤦♀️
