Putting Together a Late Playoff Push (YEAR 3 FINALE) - NHL 24 Hartford Whalers Franchise - Ep. 45

Helllooo everybody and come along for the ride as I resurrect the Hartford Whalers as an expansion team on NHL 24.
In this episode, we enter with just 12 games remaining in the Year 3 season as our Hartford Whalers are just six points out of a playoff spot. We'll need a strong showing down the stretch from newly acquired goaltender Yaroslav Askarov. We start by clicking on all cylinders with five consecutive wins right out of the gate.
However, it would only get more difficult from there. Hartford then goes on a gauntlet of a road trip with matchups against the top 2 teams in the NHL the Anaheim Ducks and Edmonton Oilers, before visiting the top team in the Eastern Conference the Tampa Bay Lightning before finishing at home with an affair against the Colorado Avalanche. After a hot start to the episode, can the Whalers finish strong and squeeze their way into the postseason for the second straight year?
After the late-season drama concludes, we'll close the episode by previewing the 2026 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs and predicting our Finals matchup. In addition, we'll preview the 2026 NHL Entry Draft which features Gavin McKenna at the top of the board. With three 2nd round picks, the Whalers may be poised to present a package and jump into the Top 5.
In the next episode, we'll close out the Year 3 regular season and review the happenings around the NHL and our player statistics, including our guys down in the AHL. We'll work our way through the playoffs and see which team comes out on top here in Year 3.
