It's been a while so unfortunately I don't remember much about the patch. I edited the video after building both Sloths and Hypster so if I were to guess I think I have a basic 2 osc drone going into a filter with the cutoff and perhaps a slight detune between the oscillators modulated by Sloths. I think I might have made the fluttering/percussive sounds by fm'ing hypster with a slow square wave and then using the output modulate a self oscillating filter or something like that :)
I'm still scared of surface mount. I need to just start doing it already. Especially since it looks like companies aren't going to bother making through hole IC's soon
I recommend buying some SMD training kits on amazon or ebay. You can usually get 4-5 in a bag for $5. SMD is easier than it looks, but it takes a little bit of practice to get right. Nowadays I prefer it to through hole since it's faster and less messy.
Love your sounds here.
Nice work. I'm a big fan of the small chisel tip for densely packed boards Just built a Steves MS22 man that was a journey :)
MS22 looks(and sounds) like a great little filter. Did you build it all from scratch? That's impressive. It has so many parts!
cool stuff, maybe some infos about the playing patch?

maybe one day the smd parts will be available again 😆

@@skinpop7542 that's a pretty good idea, thanks!✌️
Good optics really help. Once everything is blown up larger it makes it a lot easier to work on.
Smd is not as hard as it looks, just need to have a reasonably fine tip on your iron.
Links in the disc?
Thanks for the comment! I updated the description with a link to the module.
