from what i understand, Ericdoa created Dante Red as a sort of coping mechanism that stemmed from his career as Eric. when he was signed to a label, i believe they told him he could no longer continue to make music as Dante Red if he wanted to be on their team. This lead to the creation of "Finale". Please correct any of this if it is wrong.

@@kalebtodd2618 Gladly, Dante Red first started off making music when he was first joined the (now-dead) collective DPK (or Deer Park Knights). Most people who listen to Dante Red don’t actually know what DPK is. DPK is a alter ego collective, basically a collective that consists of artists that did what ericdoa did. Deer Park Knights were a rising collective getting known by big hyperpop artists now such as Twikipedia, etc etc with their cyphers, even know Dante never got on one of DPK’s songs, he still represented them as a member, we hear this from his hit “movinglikeazombie” where he talks about DPK later on in the song, after his hi, i’m dante ep, dante doesn’t speak of dpk again. Moving on, if you look at the Reddit community of ericdoa, there’s a whole essay just about dante red and what his new test songs on soundcloud are about. Personally, in my opinion, I don’t think ericdoa was necessarily “forced” to stop making music as Dante, maybe he chose that choice just to bring him back, you know for music purposes. Many artists do something to promote like a upcoming album, for example, Lil Nas X had a whole show, pregnancy + pregnancy video just about his debut album.
