ALL car prices have doubled since 2018. Ford F150 crew cab xlt was 29,000 in 2018...now its 59,000. And now the government tariff high quality cheap EVs from China is causing all car prices to double. In Texas and California, people moved to live in Mexico to drive a $12,000 BYD SEAL and work in US. US is a LOSE LOSE LOSE for its citizens.

I think the big deals have yet to happen. A real discount across the board is 40%

It’s currently December 22 2024 I’m in search of a new car and yet to find a deal looking for a something used 4 cylinder under 50k miles

Personally, I believe that deals will be even larger at the end of 1st quarter 2025 than the year end push right now. Too many people believe that they can get a great deal right now for year end, which may mean dealers won’t go as deep as they should. Traditionally, late December is a good time to buy a new car, but I just think it’ll be better in March. After the year-end push, I think new car sales will slump further. I’m waiting. Time will tell whether I am right or wrong.

And meanwhile thousands are still losing their jobs. Then they don't need a new or used vehicle.

It depends on the brand is like you said in the video brands like toyota and honda doesn't rush on discount because they are selling their car properly on the other hand jeep ford and those american brand are struggling on selling car so they have to do discount to try to atract people.....but those brands are not reliable and they are very expensive.....is like the video say DYOR like I try to do haha

Yep, Audi, Mercedes, or Lincoln are NOT known for reliability :). Most people looking for deals are not looking to buy a luxury brand with horrible resale, expensive maintenance, and, as already mentioned, a high failure rate. People would rather buy a Toyota, Honda, or Lexus for more, yet the longer upkeep would be much cheaper than buying a Jeep or Ford. The concerning part is that even Toyota and Honda are having lots of issues.
