不良たちからの虐めの対象となっている日本の中学生男子である主人公。
いつものように不良たちに暴行を受けた彼が、校舎の屋上に佇み、階下を覗く...
虐めに対しての抵抗は、その当事者にとって非常に困難なものです。
狭い世界観に閉じ込められ、他人のことも自分のことも信じられず、頼ることもできず、絶望に支配されてしまいます。
中には死という形の逃避を望んでしまう人もいるでしょう。
いじめという現実に対して、人はどのように振る舞えばよいのか...
絶望的な状況下でも自分が自分であり続けるための逃避行動、本作の主人公にとってのそれがダンスです。
彼の行動は、現実を直接変えることはありません。
しかし一見その無意味にも思える振る舞いは、主人公の尊厳を守る一縷の希望として彼を繋ぎ止めているのです。
報われない努力や夢に対して、僕らは最大の愛と敬意を送ります。

The main character is a Japanese teenage boy being targeted by a group of bullies.
One day after being assaulted, the boy stands silently on top of the school rooftop and slowly drops his head...
Standing against bullying requires great courage for the one being bullied.
The person can feel as if they are locked in an endless hell where no one can be trusted, and become overwhelmed by despair. Some may come to a point where they even lose trust in themselves and feel like they’d rather die than remain in such living hell.
Our interest lies here: then how do people behave in such hopeless situations?
Maybe it is that people maintain their dignity by immersing into something else; to dance, in our main character’s case.
Such actions may not have any impact on the reality he lives in. However, that moment becomes his spark of hope, which gives him strength to hang in there. We have made this film to embrace such human strength to define their own worth in the darkest times.
