So correct me if I am wrong - I think watching women during bath, eavesdropping on conversations of strangers, stalking children and risking own life in dark corners will give me good karma? Well OK.. I will start with first point..
The "good karma" is that it lets Artyom "grow" as a person through experience and doing good things. Bad karma things weigh big time on which ending you will get. I fucked up 3 or 4 things on Metro 2033 Redux and went straight away to the worst ending without a chance to get the good ending.
I decided to play this game again and get the good ending and I failed terribly. Upon finding this walkthrough I got the good ending. Also I noticed you hade all of your terminology right (building names, people etc.) nice job on that. Thanks for the help
If they keep the moral system in Exodus, I hope they make it far less tedious than it was in LL and 2033. Just keep it to where major choices will reward you with either positive or negative points.
I know I'm late to the party, but the good ending is meant to be a reward for committing to all the tedious tasks, and half the time you learn something from them that benefit you a little later on in the campaign. I think it should stay, as annoying as it is, the developers spent a lot of time implementing that stuff, and if you can just override it by being a little bit nice but still demolishing entire regiments of men then it kind of defeats the point. I feel the game is actually meant to feel rewarding, something that seems lost in most other AAA titles. To summarise, you call it tedious, I call it patience.
@Sxnful giving the homeless shows compassion, and yeah its not really about the stalking, its listening to other peoples stories, its the idea that artyom grew up in exhibition with not much contact with people from outside, he has his own story, but he knew nothing of what happened outside and he wants to learn. It can fit into the storyline, but I'll have to postulate on it a bit so bare with me. the dark one will fuck you over if you don't listen to him talking about wanting to wear clothes, now imagine we didn't have a playthrough, if you didn't listen to everyone you most likely wouldn't have cared for the aliens idiotic attempt at wanting to fashion for Gucci, and the dark one would definitely notice that and think, what a jerk, why doesn't he care, now if you listened to everybody, you'd have listened to him too, and he'd be like oh sweet he does care, the game just gives you a lot of opportunities in case you miss one for whatever reason
Fred Dingo I accidentally killed ONE of the surrendering Nazi guys. I restarted the check point and he wasn't there anymore. Hahaha. ...I get the bad ending for ONE single mistake. Yeah, I agree with the Fact that you shouldn't have to do ALL the things necessary to get a good ending, you know at least leave like 3 occasions where you messed up and still get a good ending because some options you can't just restart in one play through like you have to start the whole chapter again or even worse if game is feeling like it hates you like on the Xbox one redux versions you have to start the WHOLE THING again hahahah a d remember all these important occasions where to hear out some people's conversations and when not to kill people or monsters. Like, it was fine for metro 2033 but metro last light is so long Hahaha. Literally I finished the game with the bad ending and now I have to wait at least 5 months until I play it again so that it is not as fresh in my memory and I find interesting again because with the major let down it gave me with the ending where Artyum dies for just ONE screw up I made by mistake and Can't reload the chapter and fix, like I am fatigued of the game at this point it was long. And I am not playing it again all over for that one moment I failed. Yeah I'll play the game again like a few months after haha. On Red Line, you forgot one of the moral points. in the location where the 2nd diary page and the safe key is, there will be a man doing pull ups, kill/knock out him, the guy sitting by the piano, and the officer patroling, then go left to a storage area (where the safe is located fwi) listen to the two men talk about the Bridge (event from Metro 2033) and it will award a moral point.

He becomes more aware of the people and things around him by becoming more perceptive and forming his own morality as he goes out of his way to understand the world.
Way better than the other video showing the moral points. I love how to achieve a final you must do things that seems to be unimportant and just tiny details to the game immersion. I thing is a little bite cooler having all the choices jumping in my face, like "ooow hellow, i'm a choice that will change things". All this secret and "underground" way to play is some of the aspects that makes me love the franchise.
THEY SHOULDVE MADE THE GOOD ENDING THE DEFAULT ENDING KNOWING THT THTS KINDA CLOSER TO HOW THE BOOK ENDED AND THE BAD ENDING THIS HARD TO FIND, but I still love this game to death
On first playthrough you are almost guaranteed to get bad ending but it's no shame because it seems that good ending is kinda like a "exploring game+". The requirement for a good ending is extremely huge.. you almost have to do everything perfect, be an angel, explore every little corner, stun instead of kill all enemies you can. Personally I don't care because you dont have to export save file to next game and the "bad" ending was also satisfying, and all the bosses i've spared are there, the dark one learned about mercy so is all good. I admit this approach is very interesting and original, because in any other game you just have to spare some bosses and boom good ending but here you are really judged on everything you did at the end.
Yeeeessss.... But I get it. They have spent a lot of time on it and they want the player to see everything. But then I spend 10h on this game just doing good stuff and than I get the bad ending....
+DrBangkok I think the same, the game is really good but the moral points system is plain absurd. There are games with multiple ending paths which make much more sense and doesn't require you to do extremely specific and hidden stuff to get them.
It took me a week to beat it like this because I went back to make sure I didn't mess up, trust me its harx nut not impossible. Idk there was two ending until i saw this video
honestly guys, if you had a hard time doing this, im sorry but you are bad at games or something, i got it on my first playtrhough, you dont have to get everysingle one, i missed some of them, but just listening to people and just being a good person got it. I have to say i did every mision i could on stealth. i think that helps too
Thanks man, didn't even know those were moral points. I just thought they were some spooky vibes Artyom got. Maybe this time I'll be able to get the good ending :)
I suppose I got my bad ending for not bothering that much with stealth and killing like 40% of enemies. (Although when The Little dark one was watching I didn't kill a single human enemy, I quite literraly was running around punching people that were shooting at me LOL)
Just finished the game and it wasn't tedious at all to get the redemption ending. No guides needed, just explored and enjoyed the game for the first time. Played it in Spartan Mode, amazing game.
I think some of the instances are to bring in story depth, like when you hear the stories people talk about. Many things in the Metro are purpoted to exist but only evidence of it is passed through stories.
No, it enhances it. They're not petty, they're subtle. Not the same thing, dude. They represent Artyom learning and growing from his experiences, being methodical, observant, and unselfish. Becoming wise and canny. Basically, being like Khan. If you want to play the game impatiently rushing everywhere, clumsy and violent, you're making Artyom's journey thoughtless and self-centered, and so then it's logical to get the bad ending.
Listening to the people talk I can understand, but walking to a certain area of a train? Playing ALL instruments u come across? Its ridiculous. And the fact that if u dont hit enough of those points it can change your ending regardless of your actions in the story.
9:37 you can donate to him again to get another morale point, after he does all that speech of how art was gone 20 years ago, art seen as money in Bolshoi, and how they're immune to criticism.
@albert fish Dont kill anyone... Knock them out while doing stealth also your not allowed to kill mutants when you can go arround them. Basically dont kill anyone or anything
You missed one in the prologue right before you enter millers meeting room go right and you will see a group of guys talking listen to them and you get a point
PEO PRODUCTIONS worked for me, I even miss some points. If the little dark one says ''it will be bad for everyone if you lose?? then i will ask for help'' you can celebrate. (he says that just before D6 Final mission)
Hey dude are you jesus? couse you gave me redemption, so much thanks for making this video it really helped a lot again im eternally thankfull i really could achieve to do the redemption ending.
www.gamesradar.com/metro-last-light-alternate-ending-guide-and-walkthrough/ Dont know if it is gonna be helpful since this comment is two months old, but just follow everything on this page. Oh and you can kill humans in chapters: Red square, Chase and D6 :)
I think you spare all those surrender and Letnisky + Pavel, those conversations + ghosts give you a boost too. By the way drinking do not count as bad moral except for ruin dat guy bar without pay him 100 MGRs
In the Red Line, you can get another point. Before the listening to the crane guys, the barracks has a storage next to it. If you reach the place using the vent near the first crane, there are 2 guards who talk about the Bridge, which Artyom visited in the first game. Listening to them gives a point. After Venice, but before Undercity, you can get a point by exploring the area before using the Ferry which needs fuel. I got the point by walking around and going into this abandoned living spot, found a Valve rifle in the watchtower. There is also a Kalash 2012 across the Gas station.
The second mission, right before Undercity, you can get a point by making it to the mall and exploring it. I only killed a few Watchmen and rushed to it.
I got a bug at 13:14 basically they know where I am whenever I reload the level it starts where they know where I am when I try to start the chapter from start it's basically corrupted and it runs other chapter, fuck
Hey man, just wanted to say great video, is really helping me out with my first playthrough of the game! Also, I've gotta ask, what are your PC specs, or what did you do to get such a smooth framerate? Cause the first thing I noticed in the video was how smooth the framerate was.
Also, I’ve never been a fan of throwing some morality system into a post apocalyptic survival game. I understand being a decent human like leaving surrendering enemies alive, freeing prisoners, etc. but in this kind of world, morality should be the first thing out the window. You should only be worried about survival for yourself, your family, and friends. Not about the lives of Nazis and hardline Communists who are just making a typical power grab.
You're right. At some point i really just wanted to kill every Commie in my Way cause they fucked up so hard. They cheated on me and killed a bunch of innocents why would you spare them, or Nazis ?!
I think you font understand the game. All story is about forgives. if you forgive all enemies, the dark one will help you. The shadows helped people when people killed their entire family.
you annihilated a whole people of dark ones and in the end he helped you in a large part of the game the game itself is about forgiveness you understand this after the first playthrough and then play the right way to get the good ending on the second playthrough😅
Thanks for the help! As kinda grindy as it is, it's a nice approach to a morality system cuz it's not down to like one or two choices through the game like a lot of its contemporaries. Back in the day I thought the bad ending was the ending and it was still kind of satisfying in the bleakness of it all from start to finish. But since I'm tryna do a run through of the series I might as well get the good ending. Thanks again.
Just obtain all hidden caches, don't kill people that don't deserve to die, and listen to heart to heart 'emotional' conversations that convey human nature and you should be fine. I barely did half of these and still got good ending first try
A lot of these choices are so trivial and unrelated to the story. Am I really a terrible person if I get a lap dance? I'm saving the fucking Metro, I deserve my goddamn lap dance.
mitch-bittens the point is that the little dark one knows of everything you're doing, and so you have to prove to him that you can be redeemed, and therefore that humanity is worth saving. As such you have to look at a lot of these moral choices through the eyes of a younger person. Besides you don't have to do everything to get the good ending, I tried the lap dance out twice and I still got the good ending on my first go.
@@zehdarkrai no I missed a few in the beginning, but what I'd say is try to avoid the bad decisions, like to kill when you don't need to and just to be safe knock out rather than kill. Also in the club don't spend any points on private dances as the mad morale offsets you alot for that.
BW Raaid, xbox is better. achievements is a better word to use than trophy. lol, wht r we in primary, it's like u get a trophy for doing something good. lol, Xbox is better.

I thing is a little bite cooler having all the choices jumping in my face, like "ooow hellow, i'm a choice that will change things". All this secret and "underground" way to play is some of the aspects that makes me love the franchise.
I did exactly what he had instructed. And it worked. It frigging worked. I unlocked the trophy and got the good ending. Try it yourself. Cheers.
Played this video on my steam web browser during my moral point hunt
Helped alot, thanks buddy :)
You sir carry a duplet with quad barrels for that +1 like
I lost all my money in Riga because I thought I was stealing rounds from the bar counter not donating to it. Oh well cest la vie
All this for a good ending? They should've made it easier for us to get the good ending.
To be fair, you did nuke all the Dark Ones in 2033. Redemption isn't easy.
+Max Alvarez: you don't have to collect ALL the moral points to get the good ending, just a good amount
am kinda confused the achive says 'find the truth' so the real ending is nuking the dark ones and the other one is alternative or what ???
lukas kmitas Yes, that was the 'original ending' from the novel; in Metro:Last Light Artyom will have to face the consequences of that decision
+Marshallangelo Exactly
The accordion player at the theater is like the skrilix of the metro lmao guys like 90 still gets nice lookin women to dance for him XD
Thank you for this great guide! I got the redemption ending on Last Light Redux! :D
Great job! :)
love the moral point system but lots of these are completely fucking random and make very little sense....
Thank you for your guide, I was able to get good ending on my second playthrough.
THEY SHOULDVE MADE THE GOOD ENDING THE DEFAULT ENDING KNOWING THT THTS KINDA CLOSER TO HOW THE BOOK ENDED AND THE BAD ENDING THIS HARD TO FIND, but I still love this game to death
The good ending is the Canon ending look up metro Exodus you hear Anna I think say artoym
Given
In the bad ending artyom essentially dies in the D6 explosion
Thanks, man. Without this guide I wouldn't have gotten the platinum.
That's not the kremlin which is just on the other side. It's saint basils cathedral in Moscow, Russia
Pretty solid guide. Thank you for your time and effort on making this video.
This is too much for the cannon ending. I mean come on. The developers basically made it to where it draws out a 5-8 hour story to a 8-10 hour story
Yeeeessss.... But I get it. They have spent a lot of time on it and they want the player to see everything. But then I spend 10h on this game just doing good stuff and than I get the bad ending....
It’s bullshit. It’s a poor design choice in an overall good game.
Thanks for the guide, I finished the game with killing less than 7 people and got good ending while doing every good karma
Are you played Last Light or Last Light Redux. I have only Redux. I don't know this things changing in the Redux. (sorry i have a bad english)
This is so stupid. I really enjoyed the game, but this is ridiculous.
+DrBangkok I think the same, the game is really good but the moral points system is plain absurd. There are games with multiple ending paths which make much more sense and doesn't require you to do extremely specific and hidden stuff to get them.
I'm late but I totally agree because I kept all important characters alive and saved every npc I could and still didn't get it😔
It took me a week to beat it like this because I went back to make sure I didn't mess up, trust me its harx nut not impossible. Idk there was two ending until i saw this video
honestly guys, if you had a hard time doing this, im sorry but you are bad at games or something, i got it on my first playtrhough, you dont have to get everysingle one, i missed some of them, but just listening to people and just being a good person got it. I have to say i did every mision i could on stealth. i think that helps too
@@CoronelRadec Its easy but I didn't get it on my first playthrough I explored but killed way too much stuff
Wish i couldve seen this video before playing metro , thank you for your hard work doing this video
Thanks man, didn't even know those were moral points. I just thought they were some spooky vibes Artyom got. Maybe this time I'll be able to get the good ending :)
Took me a bit to figure it out myself too
Loads of people saying all this us pointless but the point is you're viewing the atrocities man commited and learning from it
nothing screams out more "redeptiom" than playing all the instruments you see
I've nearly got every single point but about 2-3 points. Got the good ending! Thank you! :D
I Cry everytime i see this ending... (T-T)
I suppose I got my bad ending for not bothering that much with stealth and killing like 40% of enemies.
(Although when The Little dark one was watching I didn't kill a single human enemy, I quite literraly was running around punching people that were shooting at me LOL)
Dont forget in sparta (1st mission) you hear the troops talking about the reds in the cafeteria
Just finished the game and it wasn't tedious at all to get the redemption ending. No guides needed, just explored and enjoyed the game for the first time. Played it in Spartan Mode, amazing game.
Is it just me or does doing all of these petty tasks kinda ruin the whole ascetic the game is going for?
Devan Beyer Well its more of a exploration thing.
I think some of the instances are to bring in story depth, like when you hear the stories people talk about. Many things in the Metro are purpoted to exist but only evidence of it is passed through stories.
You've missed what this game is really about...
15:48 is probably the scariest part in the whole metro series, still shit myself today when going through
Profesionally done! Good job!
Run1e hey u missed one in the first if you knock out the Nazi soldiers and listen to the conversion when he gets to the crane
parvel
Ty for the video, helps me alot to get the Redemption Final!!!
:D Thanks
Thank God you don't need ALL of these to get the good ending
9:37 you can donate to him again to get another morale point, after he does all that speech of how art was gone 20 years ago, art seen as money in Bolshoi, and how they're immune to criticism.
So pretty much don't kill anyone who doesn't deserve it
25:35 I am insulin dependent, that's pretty cool
if society comes crumbling down are u fucked
@albert fish
Dont kill anyone... Knock them out while doing stealth also your not allowed to kill mutants when you can go arround them. Basically dont kill anyone or anything
I finally got the good ending! After too many hours, my dumb ass decided to play it on survival hardcore.
Thanks dude
Does that help influence what ending you'll get?
@@Lucas02000 idk
You missed one in the prologue right before you enter millers meeting room go right and you will see a group of guys talking listen to them and you get a point
Missed also 1 point in Bridge, at the beginning there is a little room where i got a moral point.
Wonderful guide!!!! follow it step by step and obtained the platinum!!! you sir are a savior.
Im playing Redux: Do I get the platinum trophy if I get the moral points shown in this video?
Im playing Redux: Do I get the platinum trophy if I get the moral points shown in this video?
PEO PRODUCTIONS worked for me, I even miss some points. If the little dark one says ''it will be bad for everyone if you lose?? then i will ask for help'' you can celebrate. (he says that just before D6 Final mission)
Thanks a lot!! I got the platinum trophy :D
+¡Sancheeez!TM Heey, when I was playing he said it and I got bad ending
Hey dude are you jesus? couse you gave me redemption, so much thanks for making this video it really helped a lot again im eternally thankfull i really could achieve to do the redemption ending.
followed this guide and got the good ending!!! thank you!
whats the minimal amount of points you need to get the goods ending
www.gamesradar.com/metro-last-light-alternate-ending-guide-and-walkthrough/ Dont know if it is gonna be helpful since this comment is two months old, but just follow everything on this page. Oh and you can kill humans in chapters: Red square, Chase and D6 :)
Saumon2256 I havent killed (knocked them out) anyone till unless it progressed the story and that little punk (just kidding) let me die
Inaxces You can knock out enemies as you want and kill them in missions i wrote above but i guess you just didnt completed all the stuff..........
I think you spare all those surrender and Letnisky + Pavel, those conversations + ghosts give you a boost too. By the way drinking do not count as bad moral except for ruin dat guy bar without pay him 100 MGRs
English
Right at the start of the Bridge, there's a supply room right when you spawn in. You get a moral point.
Where is it?
I got a bug at 13:14 basically they know where I am whenever I reload the level it starts where they know where I am when I try to start the chapter from start it's basically corrupted and it runs other chapter, fuck
"Why isn't Artyom helping the obviously traitorous Spartan who defected to the red line, seems like he's evil. Maybe I will not help him lol."
That Mero LL OST track Echoes of the past in that scene with airplane crashing and in ending scene always makes me cry ,that song is so emotional. :)
Hey man, just wanted to say great video, is really helping me out with my first playthrough of the game!
Also, I've gotta ask, what are your PC specs, or what did you do to get such a smooth framerate? Cause the first thing I noticed in the video was how smooth the framerate was.
Thank you man I started new game bc I had bad ending and now with that steps in 1 day i got good ending i failed to do 2-3 tasks but rest was good
Thank You So Much For The Video, This Realy Helpfull I Just Ended The Game And Get The Redemption Ending/Good Ending 😊👍✌️😁
Great guide, I missed a couple and still worked, Thanks
I was listening to the chessplayers but got no point. how come?
same, and a few other conversations I did not receive anything. It's like you have to stand in a very special location to get the point.
thank you , you did an excellent guide. It helped me a lot!!!
And this is why you got the bad ending
you annihilated a whole people of dark ones and in the end he helped you in a large part of the game
the game itself is about forgiveness
you understand this after the first playthrough and then play the right way to get the good ending on the second playthrough😅
Thanks buddy this was so helpful keep it up
see I llke how the description is so helpful and organized
OMG THX YOU AO MUCH FOR GIVING ME THE GOOD ENDING I always got the bad ending
32:02 - that's not the Kremlin
this ^
Thanks man you are best now I finally got good ending!
watching the entire theatr show was suicide itself
Thanks for the help! As kinda grindy as it is, it's a nice approach to a morality system cuz it's not down to like one or two choices through the game like a lot of its contemporaries. Back in the day I thought the bad ending was the ending and it was still kind of satisfying in the bleakness of it all from start to finish. But since I'm tryna do a run through of the series I might as well get the good ending. Thanks again.
Can someone help me out at 28:41? I can't find the hole, I tried searching the whole depo but I couldn't find it
Thank you so much! :D Platinum #60
+Run1e can this guide be used while playing the redux?
Alex Andersson
Unless you've got Rain man memory, yeah!
Thank you so much my man. You are an absolute blessing
No problem man!
i aint doin allat
Great work, dude
Listening to people talking?! WTF?! XD eavesdropping on boring random conversations gives you some bonuses as does robbing a man from his stash? :/
what are feggets? moron
FUCKgoogle+ they are feggets izgleda da je malo a :D
Still works early 2023, thanks man
is it necessary to collect every point?
@@zehdarkrai no I missed a few in the beginning, but what I'd say is try to avoid the bad decisions, like to kill when you don't need to and just to be safe knock out rather than kill. Also in the club don't spend any points on private dances as the mad morale offsets you alot for that.
@@zehdarkraiyou only need 110 points out of 202, which is around a little bit more than 50% of the tasks
@@tocamose already done with all Metro Games, really liked them
Still Thanks ✌️
@@tocamose looking forward for the new STALKER 🎉
Thnxxxx got platinum today ;()
nice are u following this video
BW Raaid, xbox is better. achievements is a better word to use than trophy. lol, wht r we in primary, it's like u get a trophy for doing something good. lol, Xbox is better.
Somebody had to say it.
If you wait a few minutes in Artyom's room right in the very beginning and listen to the guitar player you also get a moral point.
