Thanks for sharing the important details, good to know that I should probably give this model a miss. Am excited to see the modifications you’re going to make though!
do you think it can transport 3 pounds on the truck and 3 pounds on the wagon with ruin the drive or let the chain flip over, perhaps with a little start up push ?
Thanks for your review. It strikes me with the extent of modification you plan, it would be easier to start afresh, as the manufacture of these components seems rudimentary, and you could easily make a unit twice as large with commonly available parts such as wheels. I suppose you've long since made the alterations.
No, it's still on the shelf, probably for the reasons you have mentioned. sometimes it fun to make a sheep in wolf's clothing re: highly modifying a recognizable toy.

with the stock engine I doubt it, I have a twin cylinder that I think would do what you're asking of it.
Bonjour Bruce,
What a complex transmission ! If you change the steam machine, perhaps could you simplify it ?

Very nice review, thank you.
Can’t wait to see what you do to this D320.
thanks Carl

Did you ever modify this? I'm curious to see what you did!
No, I've not done much with it, it's gotten pushed to the back of the shelf, I need to get started on it soon.
Nice machine, looks good. No seat for the driver.
Nice
