This is a great video but this concept applies to so much more than career fairs. As someone who landed 6 intern offers this summer one of the biggest things I did was cut all of the bs out. People can see straight through it. Stop worrying about your GPA and start doing things that actually matter and add value. A sub 3.0 student who is genuine and passionate about various subjects is better off than someone who is only worried about credentials. At least that's how it is in CE. This probably doesn't apply to lawyers and doctors haha!
Vincent Campanella Glad to hear more people share the same mentality 💯 haha appreciate the support man. Hopefully these videos keep gettin better and i promise more content!
This is great. What’s 5S??? Who would think they would ask you something like that, ever. I figured they would ask about a 5S project, not the definition. Maybe that’s what they do to college students who they might think are BS-ing.
Haha thanks! 5s is a industrial engineering methodology for workplace organization. Pretty much anyone in the major should know what it is lol. Which is why he asked me 😂 but the bad part was it was on the resume that i just handed him 😅 5s = Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
The only extra thing i’ve done for EE is building red stone circuits in minecraft.
There’s not much more we can ask.. just making a simple contribution to the world. ✅
Everybody has to start with zero experience, no matter what companies would believe.
