Thank you. I have learnt so much from your UA-cam channel. I love your logic as you play the hands. I also like the fact that you don’t stick rigidly to a set of rules and sometimes just follow you gut instincts. Great play
Thanks Graeme - managed to catch the last few minutes of this live today and I'm now watching from the beginning 🙂 I found your channel a few months ago after I saw one of your collaborations with Bajir and it's rapidly become a favourite of mine, not just for the bridge tuition, but also for your calm demeanour, philosophical discussion and thoughts on managing emotions/mindset at the table. Wishing you and family all the best ✌
Loved the video as always. Some particularly interesting hands today. Some comment, 1. Regarding your comment, how lucky you were on some hands. As the old saying goes, the harder practice, the luckier you get. 2. The bots don't play a perfect game, neither do humans. It's the same opponent and partner for all of us so scores are valid. 3. I'd love to have you as a partner. Even better, sitting on my shoulder whispering advice.
Some really high scores for you on these hands and impressive play! Your low scores just remind me that Bridge is a game of chance. You win some and loose some. No use beating your self up!
Many congratulations on your highly instructive videos, and on your creation of the programme - each is a remarkable achievement. On the question you refer to of how well or badly the computer plays, there is always something to learn from it sometimes playing badly - just like in real life, when opponents or partner slip up. (Compare it to a chess engine - if it's set to its highest level, a duffer like me is going to lose in 10 moves every time, and learn nothing; if it's set it to slightly above my level I'll probably still lose every time, but I'll learn something from each loss.)
