Your info is spot on. Violent crime (Home break-ins, car jacking, shootings etc,.) and corruption are big issues in SA. There are other UA-camrs who put out content asking people to come visit SA and to relocate as well. They show you all the beautiful places around Joberg, Pretoria and other parts of SA (Sandton City, Fourways, Mall of Africa and expensive gated communities like on a golf course etc.,) but none of them will they mention the violent crime that takes place on a daily basis. Apart from the crime & corruption, SA has great weather, eating places are everywhere, beautiful malls and casino's and the road system is great.
Tell me one country that doesn’t have crime. This is by far the most ignorant comment I’ve ever seen. It’s true that there is crime in SA but it is not at the scale and some Europeans describe it, there are places in SA that are just safe and there are places that require vigilance.
Here is it Pros:More job opportunities.Hip and happening events.Friendly people.Sandton and variety of African culture Cons:Crime,Pollution and Traffic
Thank you! That's the idea. When we moved to South Africa we didn't know much about this beautiful country. We hope with these videos we can share our experience and people can know what to expect before they arrive.
Hello, Joburg has crime everywhere. Please don't think that Sandton and Rosebank are safe havens. Expats generally stay in secured complexes. There are several nice areas like Bryanston, fourways, sunninghill, parktown, hydepark, dainfern, waterfall and many many more. It really depends where you will be working or studying etc. Hope this helps.
Hi folks! Thank you for this video. Very helpful information. My husband and I are wildlife photographers and we’re considering South Africa. We have a few questions and are wondering if we can connect with you for a quick chat?
Thanks for information about good and bad especilly in Johannesburg. If I don't desire to drive a car, then what will be bettet option to go from one place to another. As a newcomer from India to Johannesburg, how can I find a safe accommodation except hotels
Thank you... There is uber, taxi and Gautrain generally these are not your everyday solutions in Johannesburg. One needs a car to go from one place to another.

@@truptiakolkar716 hi, we haven't lived in CT but visited a few times. It is a beautiful place. All the very best with your move. Crime is a factor in South Africa. Hi, I am planning to move into Johannesburg from Dubai with a 9 month old kid. My wife is skeptical on the safety aspects in Johannesburg, especially my job nature will be traveling for Business purposes. Recently we read a news there were riots and vandalizing in Johannesburg and some reports say Indian community got affected as well. Can you please advise on this please.
Dubai and Johannesburg are very different cities. Safety aspect is an issue in South Africa as we have spoken in the video but there is no specific threat to Indians in Johannesburg.
@@NeetikaNakul Thanks a lot for your reply. Your video was excellent for someone to know about living in South Africa. Could you suggest some safe neighborhoods near Sandton. Thank you

Every season has its beauty here, depends on what you want to do. December is usually packed with tourists. Would not recommend anybody travelling to Kruger to go in summer as it can be uncomfortably hot there.
Thanks for the information. Really it is great to hear from you guys. I have couple of queries like: 1. In the covid it is good to relocate there or should wait for sometime. 2. What is the currwnt situation 3. Afraid of crime level bcz have to move with family
First Subscriber, All the Best, I just have one question: How is the job opportunities for Software Industry for Java developer and Test Automation Engineer. Kindly Reply
The IT industry in SA is thriving. There are a lot of Indian IT, global and South African companies here that are doing great work. Many Indians come here with large IT companies and now have opened their own IT startups too.
Thanks guys.. this is really helpful. I am from India and currently in the processing of Critical Skills Visa. Cleared IITPSA recently and will be filing my visa application as soon as they start accepting it. I would like to know about the opportunities for IT Business Analysts and any good references if you have. Any help in this area would be appreciated.

Uber is one option.
Relying on public transportation like buses/vans(called taxis)/trains is not recommended by most people.
