Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor Diagnostic | Diagnose Limited Engine RPM

Hi everyone, in this video I explain how I test the accelerator pedal position sensors when there is any fault on them or when there is limited engine RPM. As you guys know, ECM used the APS signals to actuate the throttle body, so if accelerator pedal position sensors are faulty, ECM will activate the fail-safe mode, so engine RPM and vehicle speed will be limited.
So, in this video I explain how accelerator pedal position sensors work, I explain the wiring diagram, then I show you how to diagnose the sensors with scan tool and with multimeter. I also show you how to test the accelerator position sensors output voltage and internal resistance.

Good morning friend,please i have kia sorento 2012 2.4L,my problem with the car is that while driving the accelerator pedal will not work while my foot is on the accelerator pedal to the floor, onles i take off my foot from the accelerator and press again and it starts working again, no code when i scan it, when it happens like that the live data of the accelerator pedal percentage shows 0 percent, please i need your help

Hi my friend. This could be the pedal sensor problem. Instead of checking the pedal percentage, please check the APS1 and APS2 output signal as I explained in the video.

When ignition is on (ENG Off), check the live data for throttle body and pedal for both sensors in each one. Tell me what you get.
