If you were seen as a loser or struggled with grades when you were younger, people (you grew up with especially) might not know how to view you/interact with you if you start doing better in life. If you were shy or clumsy, or didn't do well in school, some might not expect you to succeed later on. If you do improve, they might have trouble accepting it. You'll def be hated.
i only struggled with n my home ... outside my home in a different family etc i soared successful my family depended on me for or as the responsible work horse .. the babysitter the maid i loved to help them so at the toime was quite joyous and dependable and quite happy when my sisters got prizes i was happy for them when theny got rewards i was proud ., secretly i got awards too first place second place tgrid place but i learned to never brng them home or talj about them ever everyone looked at them and said you must have cheated or clearly you were given it because tgey deppfelt sorry for you lol so i hid everything i did tgey ruined it fro m day one i won bible contests i got money for babysitting or whatever i hid it all lol ... just a day in my life lol god is my father my soul belongs to him i met people from movies from sports from everywhere but i hid it all so my life fro 10 to forty five awsome .. but forty five to now sixty is more of survival since loosing many friends many ... i am strong to love you all out there no matter if im hatted thats fine with me

In my experience, this is what it looks like: 1. Jealousy 2. If you have an internal locus of control, and controlling people cannot control you, they’ll hate you for it. 3. You have a strong sense of self, you know who you are. Most people don’t have that and when dealing with you they will feel this fact is very exposed, and they’ll hate you for it. 4. People who have not dealt with a lot of their own issues will project all of their insecurities onto everyone else. They’ll feel badly a lot of the time and instead of recognizing that this is coming from within, they’ll project the cause onto everyone else.

Yes I learned the hard way sharing troubles. A lot of heartless people use it against you to say you must be happy 24/7 while these same people when they have trouble expect you to bow to them. Not everyone can perfect their circumstances but we try hard to do the best we can.

Here is one BIG THING: WHY is it ALL OVER the internet to learn to love yourself, but when you do, others can't stand it! I have had a very hard life, but I've never given up. I have autism, so I understand I don't communicate with people per social norms. I've also been more stressed out since I had my second child so I've been more obviously high strung. I don't hurt people, I am not abusive, but I'm disliked because I'm not acting like how they think I should act. This is the first thing I've encountered on my search that says don't let people change you, just try to be a good person, and it's not entirely my fault. It's ok to be different. It don’t matter where I am... there’s always someone or a group of people... usually women that have an attitude and is mean to me for no reason and they are always strangers. You made a very good point about racers. I never quite saw it that way but now it helps me understand things a bit better. I do feel competitive thinking creates a perfect place for people to hate rather than connect. I see it with my mother-in-law. Rather than connecting, she often likes to compare and compete but she does crave connection but she's oblivious to the fact that seeing her relationship with her daughter-in-law like a race to be won is pushing her loved ones away.

I totally agree with 7th reason. My sisters worked since age of 16-17 but I was more of studying and helping my parents out. My father bought me a car when they did not. They have complained to me for the unfair advantage as the first born.
It’s not a specific answer but, this idea of “be your real self” makes some people against you. Cause sometimes others will try to adjust themselves to make the norm / majority happy, but I’m not that type. A couple examples could me: others may drink alcohol but I don’t, others may spend a lot of money but I don’t, others may have so much anger / hatred to something but I don’t. Prob being an introvert helps me deal with these things better than some others might. Some care for quantity of people they interact with, I care for quality however. And even if I’m alone? I don’t mind as long as I’m being my real self, plus it can reduce haters in a way cause I’m off their radar :)
When I volunteer to do stuff or take the initiative to create content, I think people get annoyed if it’s good or not their idea. I ask for feedback and input and get none. I try to be collaborative but I get crickets. I’m excited and I so want someone to be excited but I don’t get. Also I’m a PM that does and teaches engineering. So… “not accredited” shade. I'm the nicest guy ever and so many people tell me that but my neighbor hates me because I don't work and he does, he hates it so much he stands by his window and constantly criticizes me, I can hear things he says to his wife about me and it gets to me. When we first met he went on and on about his wife and it didn't take long for him to start going on and on about me cause he suddenly stopped talking about his wife. I did a total restoration on a vehicle and he never said 1 good comment about it. His name is Jeff so I nicked named him JJ as Jealous Jeff. At least I got that on him.
I think for the most part there’s one very simple reason why we might dislike someone. It’s just a fact of life that we dont always like everyone we meet, and someone doesn’t like us. Most people I don’t particularly like aren’t bad people at all, it’s just because they have certain qualities about them I don’t like, simple as that, and some people don’t like me for their own reasons, and that’s ok.

I’m just here to say I am 28 and I get social security checks every month and that doesn’t mean I am lazy in fact I am far from lazy. I’m starting a business with my mom. I work out every day and clean my house every day and I cook my own food and I do my own budget. Keep conversations limited, dont get into politics, dont be a complainer or a venter, be yourself, to heck what others think, not everyone is going to like you anyway, stay away from toxic people and stay away from alcohol & drug abusers. This should root out alot of bs that might come ur way. Its also 100% better to have a small group of friends. Rather then a large group of friends. The more people you have in ur life. The higher the possibiliy of drama coming ur way.

Some people just aren't likeable. Not everyone is "good" at their core. While I believe that is a small percentage of people, they do exist. And they tend not to care about being "liked".
studies on what? never said those not believing in God are incapable of having empathy or values. in fact, empathy and values can very much lead people to dislike those who mess up, especially if their mess up hurts victims that they happen to have empathy for. So the possession of empathy and values does not actually make someone immune to dislike others. But if you can consider the existence of an all perfect God and, with that lens, see how small and imperfect all of us humans are, then you see how ridiculous it is, even with the greatest empathy and values, to be critical of another person's moral performance.
I don't see _any_ reason to hate someone. Even for point #1. If you're of poor moral character, I won't _hate_ you because of it, but I won't _condone_ your bad choices either. Hating someone hurts _you_ more than it hurts them and it doesn't help anyone either.
When people don't like me and I can find no discernable reason as to why I know then that it's them. That is entirely their problem and I am divorced from it.

This actually happened to me! I'd learned a different way of tying my shoes, and one of my many bullies saw me doing that and made sure everyone present knew about it in less than a minute. I've found over the years that these walking abortions will deserve nothing.

People hate you for falling outside of performance norms (good or bad) and for having qualities that fall outside of societal norms (good or bad). The middle ground is where people are most liked, and counter-intuitively are the people that get somewhere when its dependent on others, because they`re not hated.
To get some where on your own you need to be good and good, let it shine. You`ll be hated, but you`ll go far.
Yes I learned the hard way sharing troubles. A lot of heartless people use it against you to say you must be happy 24/7 while these same people when they have trouble expect you to bow to them. Not everyone can perfect their circumstances but we try hard to do the best we can.

I always talk about my struggle in life openly and people sometimes think I'm weak or I'm negative and boring. but I can't change myself. I'm not trying to impress anyone but it's really hard to get people like you so that you can talk and share your thoughts. as a human sometimes you feel to do some socializing that is the problem. Humans are really strange so do their emotions. if you're more emotional it is really hard for you to deal with this world, if you don't care anything much and can go with the flow then everyone will love you

Here's my main takeaway from this video... some people in life just aren't worth your time or energy, and not everybody in this world has to like you. This world would be leaning towards chaos if everybody in it were to see and do things the same way like clones.

When I was in my 20's, at all my jobs there was always one older woman who hated me from the get go and went out of their way to be cruel. Took me a lot of convincing and understanding human psychology to realize they were jealous.

Here is one BIG THING: WHY is it ALL OVER the internet to learn to love yourself, but when you do, others can't stand it! I have had a very hard life, but I've never given up. I am counterculture, people may judge me because I have piercings and not follow the rules for my age, but whatever. I really have to protect myself right now from some toxic people, and I have to not care what others think of me anymore.
This video made me feel better about myself. I've been looking up ways online since I've been told by my husband that his friends either dislike me or just tolerate me. I have autism, so I understand I don't communicate with people per social norms. I've also been more stressed out since I had my second child so I've been more obviously high strung. I don't hurt people, I am not abusive, but I'm disliked because I'm not acting like how they think I should act. This is the first thing I've encountered on my search that says don't let people change you, just try to be a good person, and it's not entirely my fault. It's ok to be different. I'll just continue to be as nice as I can to others and promote good things in the world the best way I can. If people don't like me, I don't need to keep trying to please them. With autism, we do things outside the norm, or others don't understand why we're overwhelmed or upset. We say the wrong things in situations without realizing it. Then they judge us or say cruel things. Thank you for this video, it helps me understand situations more clearly.
It don’t matter where I am... there’s always someone or a group of people... usually women that have an attitude and is mean to me for no reason and they are always strangers. If I get to know them they become so invested digging in my life and being fake that I don’t tolerate it at all. It’s just always annoying to deal with whatever they are projecting and going through. a lot of people are mentally ill and they dont know it, some are not self aware and express their negative side without abandon, some are just evil in nature, they are born that way and it gets worse as they age. if they are intimidated by someone one in any way it triggers them to show their true colors.
Believe me you're not alone, I'm on the same boat. It's exhausting having to tolerate these poor excuses of ppl just to put bread on the table. However, I keep reminding myself that their little clique are not the whole world even if they deluded themselves into thinking that. Stay true to yourself.

I do feel competitive thinking creates a perfect place for people to hate rather than connect. I see it with my mother-in-law. Rather than connecting, she often likes to compare and compete but she does crave connection but she's oblivious to the fact that seeing her relationship with her daughter-in-law like a race to be won is pushing her loved ones away.
People who hate others hate something about themselves and project onto others. They harbour so much pain and hate to protect themselves. I choose to love as much as I can and be generous with my compassion but unfortunately people judge and hate too easily.

I relate to #8. I’m going through a custody battle and I can relate. I’ve lost so many people and find it odd that men are even uncomfortable talking about custody.
I have been despised by one guy I thought was my friend just because I was part of a Christian group. He was so verbally abusive that it made me question my own beliefs and distance myself from religion.

That sucks. I've had similar experience but in the opposite way. Strongly religious Christians telling me I'll go to hell and that my life is less worth than theirs because I'm Trans and bi. Even though I've got terrible experience thanks to such things and losing my own faith in god- I would never stoop so low as to blatenly insult a Christian to their face just because of their beliefs.
Life would be so much easier if people just let go of their own prejudice and learn to not think of themselves as having more worth than others based on superficial things.

I totally agree with 7th reason. My sisters worked since age of 16-17 but I was more of studying and helping my parents out. My father bought me a car when they did not. They have complained to me for the unfair advantage as the first born.

It’s not a specific answer but, this idea of “be your real self” makes some people against you. Cause sometimes others will try to adjust themselves to make the norm / majority happy, but I’m not that type.
A couple examples could me: others may drink alcohol but I don’t, others may spend a lot of money but I don’t, others may have so much anger / hatred to something but I don’t.
Prob being an introvert helps me deal with these things better than some others might. Some care for quantity of people they interact with, I care for quality however. And even if I’m alone? I don’t mind as long as I’m being my real self, plus it can reduce haters in a way cause I’m off their radar :)

When I volunteer to do stuff or take the initiative to create content, I think people get annoyed if it’s good or not their idea. I ask for feedback and input and get none. even though i can relate to all of these, number 8 is SOOOO true. sometimes, i randomly ask some teachers for advice, teachers that my classmates dont rlly like, and im also taking a bit from the lesson, in favour of my classmates, and as much as i try to explain that im trying to get as much advice to deal with an emotionally abusive dad, and that im also not making them write more if you get what i mean, i still get backlash from this by ppl saying that im annoying and making fun of how they have great fathers while i dont. this is so depressing

i dont give much trouble to my teachers... but teachers tend to love those trouble makers... i guess i am just a dust in the history of life... the ideology of being a good student i have carried all my life, is always not get implied logically... being good, is never good enough even among teachers... i guess that's how life goes... but then, being good, is not for everyone but for yourself... right now, i just being good, because i want to be... i felt good... there's nothing wrong doing the things that make you feel good... i walk all my life from when i was small to now an adult being disliked ... not many friends... a lone wolf... i make friends with good people because they are genuinely good or someone with a hidden agenda... i but hadn't a friend who genuinely wants to meet me... i still never figure this situation out in my life... but still, im pretty happy with being a lone wolf... so, life is still good for me...

I'm the nicest guy ever and so many people tell me that but my neighbor hates me because I don't work and he does, he hates it so much he stands by his window and constantly criticizes me, I can hear things he says to his wife about me and it gets to me. When we first met he went on and on about his wife and it didn't take long for him to start going on and on about me cause he suddenly stopped talking about his wife. I did a total restoration on a vehicle and he never said 1 good comment about it. His name is Jeff so I nicked named him JJ as Jealous Jeff. At least I got that on him.

I think for the most part there’s one very simple reason why we might dislike someone. It’s just a fact of life that we dont always like everyone we meet, and someone doesn’t like us. Most people I don’t particularly like aren’t bad people at all, it’s just because they have certain qualities about them I don’t like, simple as that, and some people don’t like me for their own reasons, and that’s ok.

I’m just here to say I am 28 and I get social security checks every month and that doesn’t mean I am lazy in fact I am far from lazy. I’m starting a business with my mom. I work out every day and clean my house every day and I cook my own food and I do my own budget. I’ve been astonished by the number of people I have stumbled across who think we are all losers and lazy if we have social security
Keep conversations limited, dont get into politics, dont be a complainer or a venter, be yourself, to heck what others think, not everyone is going to like you anyway, stay away from toxic people and stay away from alcohol & drug abusers. This should root out alot of bs that might come ur way. Its also 100% better to have a small group of friends. Rather then a large group of friends. The more people you have in ur life. The higher the possibiliy of drama coming ur way.

Hii as a girl that always smiles and cares about others more than her self and was always kind to people even when I was in soo much pain and people still hate me and I change my character a bit by cursing a little and people started listening to me but they still hated me soo I always felt like I will never be loved but I was the type of person that always had fun and was quite unique by having fun and I was always at is quite smart and always helps her classmates and giving them notes and most teachers really liked me as there student I wish that I knew that I was not the problems and I have been suffering from my mh and I was still trying to be positive all the time and I am thankful that I know that I am not the problem

studies on what? never said those not believing in God are incapable of having empathy or values. in fact, empathy and values can very much lead people to dislike those who mess up, especially if their mess up hurts victims that they happen to have empathy for. So the possession of empathy and values does not actually make someone immune to dislike others. But if you can consider the existence of an all perfect God and, with that lens, see how small and imperfect all of us humans are, then you see how ridiculous it is, even with the greatest empathy and values, to be critical of another person's moral performance.

I don't see _any_ reason to hate someone. Even for point #1. If you're of poor moral character, I won't _hate_ you because of it, but I won't _condone_ your bad choices either. Hating someone hurts _you_ more than it hurts them and it doesn't help anyone either.
When people don't like me and I can find no discernable reason as to why I know then that it's them. That is entirely their problem and I am divorced from it.
