That iconic WRX sound is created from unequal length exhaust headers. The 86/BRZ is equal exhaust length headers so that is why it sounds nice and even instead of that uneven burble of a WRX. So if someone makes some or if a company makes some unequal headers it will sound like a WRX. The Equal length is supposed to be better for performance esp turbo from what I have read. But i admit I do love the sound of a WRX too

I'm no professional but I know they both use boxer engines, can't comment on if they're actually the same exact engine though. A quick wikipedia search could probably answer that

Because car prices dont always work that way, consider the average household income in UK, is it reasonable to sell a car for 15,000? Is that too cheap? What difference does it make when an American make 75000 dollars/year vs a guy earning 75000 pounds/year? They can both afford a 86 for 25000. Just be thankful that you live in the UK, and stop complaining. Think of how cheap the German cars are, a E class or a 5 series might cost an average person his/her yearly salary. But in China, it would take several yearly salaries of an average person.
Man I love this car but I wish they make a V6 version of it. I know I know rumor that Toyota/Scion is going to bring out a Supercharger or Turbocharger out in the near future. I just think it make sense to make a V6 version as everyone in this segment has a V6. Not only that the exhaust will sound better with a bigger engine and you get more power when installing a Turbocharger on it.

why doesn't mine sound like this I bought mine and it still sounds stock idk if i have a leak but a doubt it but I thought it was gunna be a lil louder still sounds like a RC car... I am getting UEL header in future but wondering why I don't sound like this if I'm supposed to be on the same setup

It does, the only change is the exhaust and muffler, which makes it sound completely different!
