I've really learned a lot. I'm just a beginer only a million or two hits. I'm lucky enough to have access to black ash. The borers are just starting here so i'm sawing out billets as fast as I can and sinking them in my pond for further processing later. Also building a power hammer , probably like Erics basketrys. He says his pounder does 300 strikes per minute and does a billet in about ten minutes= 3000 strikes. Im currently pound by hand and doing a layer or two per evening ( half hour to 45 minutes). I'm no mathmagician but I think i'm going to need a power hammer. Thanks for these videos. I've watched everything on the subject and yours are by far the most comprehensive.
Draw Knife - bevel up or down?- EDIT - just saw later in the vid, you are making the handle taper and notch, and you go bevel down. Can you describe the differences between bevel up and bevel down?
I have enjoyed your ash basket series. Apologies if you mentioned and I missed it, but where do you get your wood? Also, can beech be used for baskets? We have property with an abundance of beech!
Really beautifully made baskets? I’m so impressed!😊

No money in the bank, but hickory in the box. Story of my life.
Do you not use any sandpaper.?
