Elizabeth was a nice girl, she didn't deserve this. Life is so unfair to her, it was not even surprising that she even thought for suicide in those 24 years but she knows that Monster would do the same thing so she survived for her children. We can't even imagine the pain, sorrowness she had been gone through. Maybe she will get a better life.

The worst part is they legally changed Joseph Fritzl's name and he requested the authorities to do the same. If only information about his deeds was leaked in the prison, he would have received special treatment in jail. Inmates hate criminals who harmed children, they wouldn't have let him live peacefully in jail.

This is the most painful thing I have heard in my life. Some years ago I saw a dream that a person traps me in a closed room with no means of communication from the outside world and it was very scary, when I wokeup from that dream I had this weird thought that what if there are people in the world who are trapped in places from where they can't contact the outside world.
Finally happy to see people knowing about this case. When i first read about it i was devastated. The fact that the girl was in her home yet in the biggest hell for 24 years is so horrendous. And there's no way in hell the mother didn't knew what was happening. Truly and strongly wish that no one ever goes through something like this.
When Elisabeth get freed she was happy to see her mother but she got mad when see get to know that her father already in 1967 was convinced of rape and gone to jail for 1.5 year she can't believe that her mom didn't save her then

Every time I come across any content related to Josef Fritzl, it just gives me an unsettling feeling. This case also reminds me of Jaycee Dugard’s case which was one of the first American crime stories I was exposed to. You should look it up.

I've heard about this Fritzel incident a few years back while I was figuring out the meaning of a German song, 'Wienner Blut' by a legendary band called Rammstein. The lyrics will give you chills. The band has never been shy of basing their songs on controversial figures. I'd highly request you to listen to their song. I guarantee you'll be obsessed over their songs, lyrics and the music of course. The lead singer Till Lindemann himself is a pyro-technique engineer and an amazing singer. Hey, I don't speak German, but their songs give me goosebump every time I listen to Rammstein. That is how fanatic they are!
