Hot take: Star Wars didn't "get bad" when disney bought it, or because it's "woke" or whatever; even george lucas' more recent work in the franchise can be considered sub par, and in my opinion it's because they focused too much on the branding rather than the conflict. The issue with the franchise was that it had no point it wanted to make anymore, which is partly why I think Andor worked so well, because it had something it wanted to say. Star Wars fans complain that it would get too "political" like that but the series is literally called "Star Wars". It's supposed to be about the conflicts and the reflection of them on our real world.
No, Progressivism (Being progressive and forward-thinking) and Wokeness (Obsession with Far-Left virtue) are not the same thing. And Disney Star Wars isn't woke; it doesn't actually say anything and instead features some truly unfortunate implications when it tries to.
Its easy to say "dont like it, dont watch it" but some people have a fond attachment to the star wars IP. Some people grew up on it, watched the movies, the cartoons, played the games, collected the merchandise; now the solution is to just "let it go"? People dont react so strongly about it simply because they hate disney and "wokeism"; they feel so strong about it because its so hard for them to even consider letting a part of themselves go. Also people have been waiting decades for any kind of star wars media, so when something like 'the last jedi' releases, they hate star wars and what it has become... But star wars is still star wars and if you dont watch it, you could be dead before the next piece of good star wars media comes out. It has wound its roots too deeply into people for them to so lightly say goodbye, and what's worse is seeing your favourite fandom get appropriated and twisted by a particular crowd; or twisted by disney and AIMED at a particular crowd.
I completely understand that stance, I grew up watching the prequals and played Star Wars Knights The Old Republic as a kid. Although, I believe the best course of action to show your dislike towards something is to not give it attention. I'm gonna watch the show in the near future to see which side lives up to their word (because I made a video on it lol). However, for the people who base their whole channels, personalities, and at times create an emotional attachment towards Star Wars so its apart of them, have no choice to voice encouragement or dislike towards the show, but that's very few people. This is directed more towards a general fans of Star Wars and why people shouldn't partake in this Star Wars civil war perse. Because at times in order to grow as a person, you need a break a part of you off. Anyway, not trying to be too philosophical or existential 😅 I do appreciate you giving me your honest opinion and telling me what you think❤. Hope to see you next time mate.
Not watching it, stopped watching their shows a few years ago. Not the same anymore. Can't even keep the history and story canon straight, why would anything else about it be straight lol.
Again, Thank you for watching! ❤

Too much media for Star Wars in my opinion, things will just become tangled
