If you took a cross section of their beaks they are nearly empty. They have spongy like structures that they can use to heat up and cool down their bodies through their beak with is pretty neat

Toucan don't eat fruit loops most of their diet is fruit and water but never fruit loops and it's also a COMMERCIAL and toucans are fruit loops mascot.

That bird is impressively smart. It knew the knife is used to cut things and tried to suggest it to the owner. When it realized he took the knife away, it tried one last shot at eating it before throwing a tantrum and flying away.
I read an earlier reply to a comment where you mentioned they do eat melon in the wild, was just wondering how do they get through the thick skin ? Do they stab at it ? sorry I have no idea how they utilize their beaks so this is an honestly interesting question for me I can see them eating a melon once they get through especially watermelon since it's extremely soft inside and the fruit is easy to break off. I also take it the fact that she wasn't familiar with the fruit is why she didn't really try and eat much of it ?
Yes they can stab and thrash with their bill pretty effectively. Effectively enough to kill and tear flesh from similarly sized animals as well. Ripley is a captive bred bird though and has never had to forage for her own food in the same way a wild bird would. So she's not quite familiar with how to eat it because she has only ever had it chopped up in bowls. If given enough time, she would have figured out how to eat this melon- but as the video suggests, this is her first encounter.
