I recently purchased a T-Pro 195 based in part on your experiences. Unfortunately the dealers around the Twin Cities are not inclined to reduce prices. My son and I are having a great time getting to know the boat. Thank you for all the work you put into the videos and please stay just as you are.
Good tour. I totally agree with what you said in a earlier video. If I wasn't fishing tournaments I would totally have a aluminum boat. The money you save on upkeep and gas are so worth it.
Vid ideas: 1.Drop shoting (last drop shot vid is 3 or so years ago) 2. Alabama rig 3. Double fluke rig 4. Live stream 5. Review some baits, reels, rods ect. 6. Unboxing 7. Three recommended combos for beginners (on a budget) Just some suggestions. Thanks for all the vids you put out. Keep it up 👍.
+Paul Trupke Thanks Paul. I have two dropshot vids that I did last year, two older double fluke rig vids and the live streams and reviews will kick back up as soon as I get my family moved into our new house. I'm putting it all on my list. Thanks again.
great video! It's interesting to learn that you thought you were going to like the dual front seating. come to find out you decided you didn't. Keep it up!
Hey Gene, I was thinking maybe you should split your videos up into sections and disperse them throughout the week. I think with them being shorter and more frequent more people will find a routine to watch your videos and not have to find and make time. I know everytime I watch your 10+ min I need to find and make time to watch them. I think this concept would go perfect with your mtb slams. You could designate each lure for a separate video and go in depth a little bit more. Just thought I'd suggest an idea. Best, Christian.
+Jordan if it floats don't worry about it. My first boat was a 14ft Jon boat with an 8hp motor. I was 27 and I loved that thing. Enjoy what you have until you are ready to get a different one.
Gene I would disagree on not having a 3 bank charger for people with a 24v system. The on board charger will act like a maintainer for us one that may not be able to get out often or for northern anglers during the winter time and fishing stops.
Awesome Alumacraft Gene.....Beautiful! Which Birds are you looking to get? Helix? Onyx? Helix has Been good for me! any thoughts on a Jackplate for Shallower waters? Keep the Great videos Coming!
It worked, Thanks again Gene! flukemaster15 with all lowercase words was the key. Hey one other question for you, what lanyard do you use for your GoPro remote?
Gene do u have any preference for the fabric of your long sleeve tshirts? Personally i prefer a mix of polyester with elastane or spandex. when i wear 100% polyester it make me sweat like a pig. and Thanks for the rod glove discount.
SPF 50 Long Sleeve Sunshirt is the way to go, at least for me. Sun Protection. is extremely important on the water. Check out the line of them over at 5X3Fishing.com
+Kendall Arnold Fishing. the designs on 5x3 are cool. but they are 100% polyester. spf 50 long sleeves with a mix of polyester and spandex or elastane are more breathable, like underarmour iso chill.
Hey Gene, before you moved to the video editor person what video editor did you use when you were editing yourself? I'm looking for a new one cause GoPro studio was just my start up just to get videos out
+ChatTer Bassin' That's right. Before Adobe went to the Creative Cloud crap you could buy the older versions on Amazon for half the price of the newest one.
I have a 24v trolling motor system and my cranking battery and I was thinking about getting an onboard charger. I run all my electronics and a phone charger off the cranking battery. If that how you run yours? Would you just get a 2 bank charger? Thanks!
+Bryan Cole okay. I know in the video he said that you only need a 2 bank if your big motor charges itself and in my case it does. I have no problem now and I have never charged my cranking battery but all I am running is a Lowrance elite-5hdi but I am wanting to run bigger electronics. Haven't had a problem yet with never charging the cranking battery
Most people won't if they run the boat often. If you are unable to get out often the charger will act as a maintainer and keep the battery topped off. Last thing I would want to do is find out at the ramp the cranking battery is dead or dropped a cell.
+Flukemaster im buying a new boat this winter to get in some bigger tx's. and hopefully travel the southeast. The bigger tx's are in marylands upper bay. The sassafrass susquehanna and down on the potomac. Is there any reason you can think of that i should go with glass. i like the alluminum but everybody in my area fishes fiberglass and i really dont know why. Even pros fish fiberglass so what am i missing?
+Flukemaster I don't wanna come off all weird or anything, it's just covering up the electronics with black tape is weird. You talked about lowrance for twenty or thirty seconds but tape up the name!?!?!???? I get it I guess, business, your Angling for some sweet humminbird helix units?
+cochrankoi The reason I'm probably going with Hbird is because they are close to the Alumacraft factory and the guys there know how to install them so it will be easier than paying someone else to install Lowrance units.
+Flukemaster I think I understand. Thank you for replying. I know you said you were moving to Rome soon, is that still in the works, because I'm worried you'll be catching all of my fish! Hahha:)
+Flukemaster oh so your gonna get the one you've been talking about in this vid. Glad that you talked to alumacraft. They make outstanding aluminum boat but they've been making them for the all around fisherman. Not the bass fisherman in particular.
Gene, awesome boat. I went with the rt188 ranger for those storage reasons and the recessed t motor pedal. Yours has a nicer finish because for some reason ranger can't figure out how to hide all the welds but otherwise they're very similar boats.
crazy, six years later and i ended up looking at the rt188 and alumacraft pro 185. got a smokin deal on the 185. funny seeing my comments from years back
Man you should ask Alumacraft about the layout of the 2005 Invader I own 185 dc w/115 opti love it and it has a lot more options than what this boat has. I.e. cooler and step combined, 1large front deck storage and a second smaller front storage box. In my opinion they hit the nail on the head for aluminum Bass boats with the Invader then walked away from it. Just curious about it.
I love my TackleWebz! I know you're in the south and it's hot, but you should check out the vinyl carpet rather than the traditional. may not work great for you in the heat though. ..
I'm a huge fan of you channel and was wondering if you could make some more kayak videos because I'm really interested In kayak fishing and seem to learn a lot from yours
never thought of the idea about the cable drive. i bought a power drive v2 and it is nice but annoying to stow and maneuver with. might have to upgrade
Shimano makes a better shoe 👍.. Rod locker 👎👎 reels are to expensive to be banging around smashin themselves. Want a cooler? Just throw ice in that livewell. There's your cooler. Like the spinnerbait/jig rack
Getting an Alumacraft 175 sport soon Gene, this video is getting me excited. Also some JJ's magic coming in soon. Bass watch out! Thanks for your videos, maybe I won't be a novice for long. If I have a good day, I'll send you a GT hat so your luck will improve haha :)
hey bro boats super nice was at lake Hartwell today for about an hour stopped on my way back to NC. And I actually just acquired a 1976 glastron CV 16 as well about to start up my UA-cam channel just want to say I enjoy watching your videos and It would be nice to fish with you sometime.
Hey great video Mr. Jenson! I have a request, I'm in the market to buy my first ever bass boat and have NO CLUE on how to operate of drive the damn thing lol I watched your videos and how to launch and trailer your boat alone and they were very helpful but if you could post a vid on How to drive your bass boat that would be awesome! thanks for all you do! love your channel.....it's my fave of all
Ok thanks Gene. I received my Costa cat Kay glasses in the mail last week that you referred me to and I am nothing but amazed by those things! I want to thank you again for that! I bought some Oakleys a few months back around the same price and was disappointed. I sure do appreciate everything Gene, Thanks again!
Hello, I only have spinning rods and I am looking for a baitcast rod and reel, but I only have money for one setup right now, what power rod would you get and what reel would you match it with?
+Nicholas Cordero Yep but that was for his show. The next one will be for UA-cam. Kayak videos will start as soon as I move my family into our new house in the next three weeks.
man i miss my aluminum boat i recently went to fiberglass and totally regret it, it does ride nice but the aluminum boats with the smaller engines just doesnt hurt my wallet at all. Not to mention the gas mileage my truck gets with the lighter boat too! Great video
Thank you!! For taking the time to show us your boat and teaching me how to fish better and more successfully. Keep on teaching the world how fish and I will keep watching. Thank you again. P.S thank you for doing the mystery tackle box it save me life. aka the wife from killing me in my sleep. lmao
I recently purchased a T-Pro 195 based in part on your experiences. Unfortunately the dealers around the Twin Cities are not inclined to reduce prices. My son and I are having a great time getting to know the boat. Thank you for all the work you put into the videos and please stay just as you are.
+Kim Dailey That's awesome Kim.
Good tour. I totally agree with what you said in a earlier video. If I wasn't fishing tournaments I would totally have a aluminum boat. The money you save on upkeep and gas are so worth it.
+BassGeek You just wait. :)
hmmmm and now I'm interested.
Rod gloves or as I call them, rod socks are AMAZING! Could not agree any more on protecting your expensive fishing rods.
I was at a fishing seminar and I was looking through the Alumacraft magazine and I freaked out when I saw you in it!! Great job!
+John Ramirez LOL. Yep. That was pretty cool.
+Flukemaster if the lake I go to is always really choppy will a deep hull or a v hull be better then bass boat? Thanks!
Vid ideas:
1.Drop shoting (last drop shot vid is 3 or so years ago)
2. Alabama rig
3. Double fluke rig
4. Live stream
5. Review some baits, reels, rods ect.
6. Unboxing
7. Three recommended combos for beginners (on a budget)
Just some suggestions.
You should do some boat driving, manuevering, safety, tutorial or how to type thing
good idea!
Fluke best video yet keep the kids involved, love the man cave /Studio. Good luck trout fishing and see you at the classic next year.
All of the big UA-cam fishing channels should have a big tournament! #TeamCrocs
+Colin McPeak We might
+Flukemaster woop woop! Thanks for making my day! Take it easy and God Bless you!
great video! It's interesting to learn that you thought you were going to like the dual front seating. come to find out you decided you didn't. Keep it up!
Man that's a great but you have there, and a heck of an arsenal too!
+Samuel Bosye Thanks Sam
boat
You have a lot of great ideas for storage. Thanks!
+Ralph Petty Thanks Ralph
hey fluke you gave me advice on why you bought a aluma craft and you helped me decide on my 2017 ranger rt178
+Nahdooo27 I'm just going to make more videos. Some long and some short.
"big fluffy seats..great for a fat boy" LOL! great video as always, thanks for all the info you share with us.
need to make a trip north and fish mille lacs in MN for giant smallmouth
You should change your channel name to crocmaster
+Team Wagy LOL. I love my crocs
I want a bass boat so bad! I'm currently using a 13 or 14 foot aluminum boat, works good but wish I could stand without losing my balance so easy.
+Bryan Cole I didn't think of that. Thanks Bryan. I stand corrected.
Great video as always Gene! Do you plan on adding power poles or talons to the back someday?
+Guess Who I'm not sure yet.
Just a reminder for the guys who say they cannot afford a boat like that. He did catch his PB while in a kayak. That is a nice boat though 👍
+Tim Griffin Exactly
Awesome Alumacraft Gene.....Beautiful! Which Birds are you looking to get? Helix? Onyx? Helix has Been good for me! any thoughts on a Jackplate for Shallower waters?
Keep the Great videos Coming!
+Noah Vang I'm not sure yet. I'm going to have to look into them. Look for Shallow water anchors on my next rig.
wish i could aford one very nice boat long story
What about your ski pylon........Just kidding. Great video. Awesome boat.
+ricfly52 Not on my boat. LOL
Do a terminal tackle video
+Michigan bassmaster1 That's in the works
you should do a tutorial on how to make the spinnerbait and jig hanger
+nathan flovin I will when I make one for my next boat. I'm going to make some adjustments.
+Flukemaster cool that'll be great to see I'm gonna ask my dad if we can do that
It worked
Thank you
+Jacob Hamilton Awesome
where could you find one of these boats now?
Use your front live well as a cooler
+brice mooney I tried that but it's not insulated and it took 30 pounds of ice to keep things cold all day.
It worked, Thanks again Gene! flukemaster15 with all lowercase words was the key. Hey one other question for you, what lanyard do you use for your GoPro remote?
+Nick Francisco Great Nick, I use one that I found around the house. I think it came with an old flash drive that I used to have.
what is on your neck on the lanyard thing
Will those spinners rust in the storage compartment lid? How long do you keep them hanging on the magnet like that?
+Mike Lamenza Not if you keep your hatches dry. I hang them until I get home or need to use them again.
I want that boat
Could this boat be one of the best to choose from between other brands when you go to get your first bass boat?
+fishing down in the bluegrass I will always recommend it. It's a great first boat.
Do you think theyll rust if you keep some there? thanks for responding.
+Mike Lamenza They might
U should do a driving vid
when you get your new boats, do they make you give back your old one?
+Nathan Dolan They sell it
any bio spawn deals and you says four or five digits for a boat just like that
it's between 18 and 20k.
Hey Gene, before you moved to the video editor person what video editor did you use when you were editing yourself? I'm looking for a new one cause GoPro studio was just my start up just to get videos out
+ChatTer Bassin' Adobe Premier Pro.
+Flukemaster thank you sir!
+ChatTer Bassin' That's right. Before Adobe went to the Creative Cloud crap you could buy the older versions on Amazon for half the price of the newest one.
+Flukemaster oh okay do you have a suggestion? Since they switched. And I appreciate you taking your time to answer all these questions
what the best way to use a lizard
When are you going to make more yak videos???
+Texas_hunt_fish As soon as I get my family moved across the state in the next few weeks. So you should start seeing them in early June.
I have a 24v trolling motor system and my cranking battery and I was thinking about getting an onboard charger. I run all my electronics and a phone charger off the cranking battery. If that how you run yours? Would you just get a 2 bank charger? Thanks!
You would need a 3 bank charger. one bank for each battery. you have it set correctly leave the trolling batteries just for the trolling.
+Bryan Cole okay. I know in the video he said that you only need a 2 bank if your big motor charges itself and in my case it does. I have no problem now and I have never charged my cranking battery but all I am running is a Lowrance elite-5hdi but I am wanting to run bigger electronics. +Bryan Cole yeah I normally just fish tournaments every weekend. Thanks for the input
Do you plan to go to fiber glass? If so, which boat?
+Levelusion Nope. I'm staying Aluminum. You can't beat the cost per day of one.
Roll Tide Flukemaster wait... I mean go dawgs.
if you don't like your live well in the front why not convert it a cooler? #dirtysouthbassin
why did you choose alluminum over fiberglass?
+Patrick m Cost per day. In a Fiberglass I was spending 80 to 120 dollars a day. In an Aluminum it is 20 to 30 dollars a day.
+Patrick m Wait till you see my next one. If they implement half the changes that I suggested then you will need to take a long look at it.
+Flukemaster sounds good
how much?
+y bbeejk That's something you'll have to ask a dealer.
Wow. So fluke, your only gonna give exposure to who Sponsors you? Man I been following you for a long time and a huge fan but... Wow...
+cochrankoi large price items like electronics are a whole different ball game. I've been burned one too many times.
+Flukemaster I don't wanna come off all weird or anything, it's just covering up the electronics with black tape is weird. You talked about lowrance for twenty or thirty seconds but tape up the name!?!?!???? I get it I guess, business, your Angling for some sweet humminbird helix units?

+cochrankoi Why free advertise when you can and should get paid for it? If he promotes their product for free why would lowrance offer him a deal
Turn the live well into a cooler
+High Impact Wrestling (Arizona) It's not insulated so it uses too much ice.
How fast does it go?
+Maximillian Schropp 46mph
You ain't got to tape them up!
What's the top speed?
+J M 46
Still no bio spawn code
Fluke Master, do you think that you could ever take some subscribers fishing?
FLUKEMASTER15 is not working
Just a heads up.
+Jacob Hamilton Crap!!! I'm on it.
+Jacob Hamilton Try it now. Be sure to use all lowercase letters.
are you sponsored by biospawn?
+mystery angler yes
What's gonna be your next boat?
+NC Bassin Same boat with some major and minor changes
+Flukemaster oh so your gonna get the one you've been talking about in this vid. Glad that you talked to alumacraft. They make outstanding aluminum boat but they've been making them for the all around fisherman. Not the bass fisherman in particular.
+NC Bassin Yep. They are a great company and wonderful to work with.
The promo code Flukemaster15 did not work for TheRodGlove.com
+Nick Francisco I'm on it
+Nick Francisco Try it now. Be sure to use all lowercase letters.
Gene, awesome boat. I went with the rt188 ranger for those storage reasons and the recessed t motor pedal. Yours has a nicer finish because for some reason ranger can't figure out how to hide all the welds but otherwise they're very similar boats.
what do you think of the ranger?
crazy, six years later and i ended up looking at the rt188 and alumacraft pro 185. got a smokin deal on the 185. funny seeing my comments from years back
Can you adopt me and take me fishing lol
+nando1026 lol
trying to buy some rod gloves but the code isn't working..
+Jesse Savala I'm on it
+Flukemaster okay! Let me know what you figure out please!
+Jesse Savala Try it again. Use all lowercase this time.
It worked! Thank you.
Man you should ask Alumacraft about the layout of the 2005 Invader I own 185 dc w/115 opti love it and it has a lot more options than what this boat has. I.e. cooler and step combined, 1large front deck storage and a second smaller front storage box. I love my TackleWebz! I know you're in the south and it's hot, but you should check out the vinyl carpet rather than the traditional. may not work great for you in the heat though. ..
Why did you decide to get an aluminum boat over fiberglass? I'm boat shopping is why I ask.
Nice video, really funny to see the bass guys idea of bad conditions vs us walleye guys 2-3 footers are a nice day.
Keep up the nice videos!
I'm a huge fan of you channel and was wondering if you could make some more kayak videos because I'm really interested In kayak fishing and seem to learn a lot from yours
You keep mentioning the 2016 and 2017 versions of the boat. Does that mean you are getting a new one soon?
You should look into an Xpress x series, it would be much nicer overall and solve all the problems you mentioned.
never thought of the idea about the cable drive. i bought a power drive v2 and it is nice but annoying to stow and maneuver with. might have to upgrade
I've been meaning to buy some rod gloves but always talked myself out of it. Thanks for helping pull the trigger and thanks for the coupon code.
+Nasty Habit Baits Cool. I hope you like them.
Shimano makes a better shoe 👍.. Rod locker 👎👎 reels are to expensive to be banging around smashin themselves. Want a cooler? Just throw ice in that livewell. There's your cooler. Like the spinnerbait/jig rack
+J Lee I used it as a cooler last summer and because it's not insulated it burned through 30 pounds of ice a day.
I love shimano reels
Can I ask why you went with aluminum over fiberglass?
Getting an Alumacraft 175 sport soon Gene, this video is getting me excited. Also some JJ's magic coming in soon. Bass watch out! Thanks for your videos, maybe I won't be a novice for long. If I have a good day, I'll send you a GT hat so your luck will improve haha :)
+seporpn Awesome. You'll love it.
Which glasses do you normally wear when fishing? I have been using some cheap polarized ones but want a "real pair".
+Quagmire88 I use Costa sun glasses
Do you recommend the trolling motor you have now? or is there one you want to get that is better ?
hey bro boats super nice was at lake Hartwell today for about an hour stopped on my way back to NC. And I actually just acquired a 1976 glastron CV 16 as well about to start up my UA-cam channel just want to say I enjoy watching your videos and It would be nice to fish with you sometime.
+Adrian Inniss Cool man. Good luck.
Hey great video Mr. Jenson! I have a request, I'm in the market to buy my first ever bass boat and have NO CLUE on how to operate of drive the damn thing lol I watched your videos and how to launch and trailer your boat alone and they were very helpful but if you could post a vid on How to drive your bass boat that would be awesome! thanks for all you do! love your channel.....it's my fave of all
That one is on my list.
+Nick Francisco Cool man. I know you love them.
Love the custom hanger ideas for plastics and to dry lures
Gene,
I never knew you were in the video produced by Alumacraft, advertising their 2016 pro 185.
+Aidan Keller Yep. That was shot a year ago.
Very nice boat. You should also check out the ranger RT188. I love mine. Smooth ride and very stable.
+Tim Sweeney Not a lot of storage in the Ranger though.
Hello, I only have spinning rods and I am looking for a baitcast rod and reel, but I only have money for one setup right now, what power rod would you get and what reel would you match it with?
+Isaac Horn I'd get a Med Hvy with a reel that meets your budget.
Where do you type in the 15%off at do you type it where the promo code is
I have a humminbird and we have lots of problems
Awesome setup brother. gave me some new ideas for my tracker!
+RALPH BOYD Thanks Ralph have fun with it.
Gene, What was the name of the company that makes your Yellow Pole that you mount the Go Pro on. Do you have a web address? Thanks, Landon
+Landon Pryor Yolotek
Didn't you do a kayaking fishing trip with Chad Hoover
+Nicholas Cordero Yep but that was for his show. The next one will be for UA-cam. Kayak videos will start as soon as I move my family into our new house in the next three weeks.
rod gloves already saved me one rod when i slammed it in my tailgate
man i miss my aluminum boat i recently went to fiberglass and totally regret it, it does ride nice but the aluminum boats with the smaller engines just doesnt hurt my wallet at all. Not to mention the gas mileage my truck gets with the lighter boat too! Great video
+Chase Garrison (GAfishing) My point exactly. Fiberglass is nice until you look at the daily cost of running one.
whats your thoughts about a Pro team 195 txw mod v bass boat
Love the angle iron ideal! Wish I would have thought of that before i finished re carpeting my lids.
+Jason Setser LOL. You'll think of something
How much would a boat like that cost and we're did you get it from?
You can get it at an Alumacraft Dealer near you. The price totally depends on what is put on it and what you and the dealer decide.
Gene, I really love your videos. I have been watching your videos for some time thanks
+Deputy Prepper Thank you sir.
Thank you!! For taking the time to show us your boat and teaching me how to fish better and more successfully. Keep on teaching the world how fish and I will keep watching. Thank you again.
P.S thank you for doing the mystery tackle box it save me life. aka the wife from killing me in my sleep. lmao
Nice boat buddy! I just got a tracker last month! I need that 115 that you have on yours thought!
+NC Bassin Cool
Gene, whats your opinion on power poles? Do you not have them due to space/storage or would you never use them?
+FirefighterEMT804 I haven't needed them.
That is a awesome rig man!
+Alex Rudd Fishing Thanks Alex
Great tour. Thanks for the coupon code!
Deep V or flat bottom? Looks like flat... Anywhere close to Cali?
+Hammer Rough it's a modified V
Im interested in your units when you go to change them. I would suggest looking into Garmin as well
+OkieFishing They get sold with the boat sometime in July or August
hey I like your videos, are you gonna sell your Lowrance equipment online?
+Demolition Man They will be sold with the boat
