Another great list, as always!. Alot of favourites here that I already have on my cabinets but found a couple more to add to my cabinets once again. Cheers bro, A-Dogs
My local arcade was called TimeZone and I still recall the exact spot where the TMNT game was. Dad always used to grumble about not wanting to give us money that we'd waste on arcade machines but TMNT was one of the few that he actually enjoyed watching us play, even though we could never get past the second level lol.
i remember playing offroad when i was 11 yrs old. down in the game room of our hotel on vacation it was so awesome. coming in off from the beach playing offroad was so great. i remember they had steering wheels and u would whip those things around to make the turns. the controls were great on that game.
You picked some of my favorites from that year but I rarely saw DragonBreed. 🙄 Two of my favorites are Tournament CyberBall 2072 ( Robot Football and the ball is a Bomb!😎), and SNK’s Prehistoric Isle where you’re a Jacked up WW1 Biplane fighting Dinosaurs! 🤩
I remember playing many of these at the arcade when I was young. And now I have them on MAME because finding an arcade with actual good taste in Midwest America these days is impossible.
Yes, I forgot how many brill games came out in 1989,thanjs for sharing, I have got a few of them on jamma original, final fight, tmnt, crime fighters, golden axe, shadow dancer, those were the days I was 15 years old and many a great day was spent in the arcades in irvine, ayrshire, Scotland and kilmarnock had a few good arcades. I remember the Saturday I walked in with my pal and we seen final fight for the first time... Couldn't believe the speed, graphics, just the size of the sprites it was awesome and still one of the best.. Again thanks for sharing this great list and reminded me of how great 1989 was, God bless. Keiran
There was this arcade game that I played around 91 or 92, but can't remember the name of it. That game sticks out for me because when you'd run into this big fat sloppy looking biker guy, he'd run after you if you tried to avoid him, but when you'd get farther away from him to where he's almost out of the screen, he'd then really start trying to keep up with you by swinging his arms with his face looking up in the sky while huffing and puffing 😂😂 It was so funny watching him struggle to stay in the screen, it just seemed so realistic for him to do that. It wasn't Bad Dudes. Anybody remember that one?
PLEASE HELP! There is an arcade game that I'll be looking for 15 year. The game is around 1987 and 1991. Is a doctor or scientist who got a bottle with a spray as a weapon, he is killing germs or insects with the spray. Is a 2D side scrolling. The character look kind as Mario.

I'm glad you keep finding new games :). Thanks for your contributions.
Dude, what emulator and filters are you using? This is absolute visual perfection.
I still remember the feeling of complete excitement the first time seeing that 4 player TMNT machine in my small town bowling alley arcade!
My local arcade was called TimeZone and I still recall the exact spot where the TMNT game was. Final Fight, and TMNT, still some of my all time favorites!
La cosecha del 89 fué realmente exquisita!! Gracias por el video, te quedo excelente!
Good to see final fight at number 1. Such a classic game and one of the first arcade games I ever played
Conor Lynch Hell effing yeah final fight was raw.
Crime Fighters, man, I’d forgotten about that one! Thanks for the reminder!

first micro transaction game I recall. 3 Nitros cost 1 quarter.

WWF Superstars ate up a lot of my tokens during 89’. A few of these arcade games on this list I don’t remember at all.
I hardly cry for remembering those jewels when I was 11
I used to spent hours at a local department stores in Jakarta playing Dragon Breed after school. Good times☺️.

Like if you actually remember playing these games in the arcade and not on MAME.

I played some of them on the actual machines before MAME came to dominate

Best arcade year for me,thank you
Gran trabajo!!!❤
That was a trip to 11 year old me. Feels like another lifetime.
As a 40 year old who grew up in the 80's and been to many arcades, I can say that TMNT was by far and away the #1 most popular game in every arcade.
Until street fighter and MK came around for sure
Good times! Played about half of these
What emulator did u use and what kind of shader did u apply?
Another awesome video, love the artwork!
Una gran lista saludos desde Uruguay amista
Had a feeling TMNT and Final Fight would be the top two. 1989 really was the year that beat em ups broke.
For my top pick it would be
1. Gradius III
2. Cadash
3. Darius 2
4. Night Striker
5. U.N. Squadron
classic arcade game. thanks for the video!
Cuanta Nostalgia, saludos.😭
having scan lines make them look more authentic

I was 17. Time flies
No spoilers, but number 2 should be number 1. Best game of all time for me XD
Yeah I was 9 when that came out and I can tell you that in every arcade TMNT was the most popular game by a lot.
New Video, New Game in my collections.
Music name 0:14 please.
Thanks very much
Can you do a list of arcade puzzle games please, your detail is amazing..
It's a very good idea
@@TROldSchoolGamer I think you'd do a great job amigo
I didn't notice it until now, but Arch Rivals looks like a Happy Days game that they turned into a video game.
1989 twas a great year for beat-em-ups!
I agree then i was 15 years old seeing arcade classics dubble dragon 1 2 chase hq thunder blade at £1 a go i loved then years 🏴❤️❤️🕹️🌝
What's that track playing between clips?
I'm looking for a wrestling game by robots of the 80's. Does anyone remember the name?
MOST ARCADE GAMES WERE QUITE HARD, AND PEOPLE NOT KNOWING THERE ARE DIP SWITCHES ON PCB BOARD TO MAKE IT EASY OR VERY HARD TO PLAY.
The enemies in the Rambo game make bird sound 🦅... They squawk
Jaime Ricaldi Shadow Wars??
Shinobi
Best power games only ARCADE

Hi, was it vendetta?
Vigilante
It sounds like he's referring to the first level boss in The Combatribes.
Nice one!
Sly spy my favorito
Capcom could do a best of 98 Collection alone :D
