I think part of the idea is the gray areas that exist and that the concepts of "good guys" and "bad guys" don't really make sense in reality. But even if so, I would agree that it was not executed very well.
@@MisterAlexEsquire yeah they tried making an all evil neo nazi faction, but gave them the goal of reclaiming their homeland and destroying their oppressors
Yeah playing as Shadow Marshal honestly felt like being on the wrong side. The Helghast have many, many problems, but they are absolutely right in seeing themselves as the victims. They are being treated as scum on their own homeworld, barely given enough space to live and get to pay the price for a war that the people who came before them fought.
@@satouhikou1103 The Nazis used the general rage and dissatisfaction of the German people to turn them against Europe. Giving them an enemy in the Jews was the move to intill fear in them, so they wouldn't question their decisions. The biggest difference is, the Helghast didn't commit a genocide. And at this point in the story, they genuinely try to make the peace work, which makes undermining them just feel dirty.
@Teufer2 around 12+ or so Years passed now, since the KZ04:SF title's existence anyways. probably counting that KZ04:SF - 'intercept' DLC's time too, though I think it came out like, a Year later (in 2014) or something? 'I Think' anyways.... but anyways, yes, 12+ Years later or something, by the time I'm commenting this right now. (and around 20-21+ or so Years later for the Whole of the KZ (universe and galaxy/)franchise's existence (well, by KZ01's date of official release anyways, and not counting their KZ franchise development process' time during just Before the start of the Year 2000) by the time I'm writing at this current date's).
When I read that dutch betas, who made 1st KZ were copypasting Verhoeven's Starship Troopers, but you are playing as a noble white knight of ISA, I had immediately same reaction when I was introduced to the based Brotherhood of Nod. It's amazing how, for example, demonization and dehumanization of Stormtroopers made thousands of SW fans turned into Imperium enjoyers.
The Black Hand would make sense, they have honestly tried to exacerbate the tensions between the Helghast and Vektans. And the fact that the munitions came from the Helghast side would add more credence to this theory.
remember vekta was the original home world of the helghast, it was stolen from them so the helghast are entirely within the right
You're right, try to find video "helghast that Lost it all" he talks about all this

yeah, the helghanites are Indeed like the hamasiac cult over there under the rapestine/irake nation.
yEah just like the hamasiac fanboys out there.-
TBF UCN did force ISA on splitting Vetka with Helghans after they blew Helghast up.
Saric should have had a more involved role in game.
At least he doesnt die like other commanders did.
@@colonelmaelradec4577 well, no?
