I like a compact setup. it gives more rope space to play with, for example when using a 3:1 mechanical advantage. The rope wrench so close to the zigzag also makes it easy to collapse the whole system when desired.. It is not aproved by the manufacturers though, so I do it at my own risk.
I use the same tether with a short prusik, knut, and the apex rope wrench. It's a buttery smooth set up in a very compact package. For me I just find having a tight, neat package keeps everything oriented 100% of the time and doesn't get in the way. Also, I am not using SRT all the time so it's very easy to just keep my wrench on my saddle without having to worry about it getting snagged on stuff.
@@troyerthedestroyer yes, I used it with the knut before, but I didn't get it to work really smooth, maybe the rope and prussik combo wasn't right.. Maybe I should give it another run :) I am going to DRT for a while again, just for fun, and indeed this tether is super handy to quickly set up SRT anywhere in the climbing route..
@@rosendoislas7915 it is the caralink tether from arbsession. This is the V1 for a dmm perfecto but used with the ultra o. Hence the tape to fix it on the perfecto. I now have the V2 which is really nice!
Bro, that looks like so much fun!
Cool rope wrench setup-why the shorter tether?

Where did you get that small rope wrench tether?
