The team at Nightdive Studios, that brought back Turok and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, are pleased to announce that on July 31st, Forsaken Remastered will be available for purchase on Steam and Xbox One!
Developed by Probe Entertainment and Iguana Entertainment and first released in 1998 for PlayStation, PC and Nintendo 64, Forsaken was a vision of a dystopian future where science has gone out of control. Scavengers from all over the known worlds have come to Earth to loot the remains of the technology that can found in underground tunnels. But beware! You must fight your way past automated defenses and the scum of the universe to find the treasures hidden on each level.
As you mount your hoverbike, be prepared for deadly combat. You are going to quickly learn that the future is... Forsaken!

That looks soo much like the descent series from back in the day good lord who here remembers that.
Still play them now and then, With the same Microsoft Sidewinder joystick, I have had since 96 or something...
Have had to dust it out more than a few times and tune it up so it centers properly again. They don't make hardware like that anymore, Still have my working Sidewinder Strategic Commander too. Stopped working in windows back in the XP days (Assume MS removed the id's for the devices in their systems, but always works in Linux.

I know it would never happen but I would lose my shit if they remastered Hybrid Heaven for the n64 and allowed online vs mode.

No PS4 or switch versions?
If you took levels from version of n64, then you can make your version of the Turok 3. I wait. On a new engine for example. It does not matter. Coming soon remake re2. Do either remastered or remake of the Turok 3.
whaaaaaaat! Just found out this remaster existed from the current Black Friday sale on XB1. I'm getting it! I still have my N64 version. Hopefully the controls are the same even with an added joystick for whatever. I'll tear it up in mp! Nauseating to learn as a kid. Fluent art when mastered ;D. Campaign was really hard tho. Never beat the harder campaign paths.
edit: Still remember the original commercial which luckily is on YT. The future is forsake. The future is forsaken. Then finally getting the game and playing it ooo yeaa!

Anon Bunka oh man bioforge. I played that when I was 5-6 and I had no idea what I was doing but it also gave me nightmares lol. I think I remember playing it a decade later to beat it finally.
I still own the game + some old wallpapers, one featuring the three women.
I have the pc big box and the n64 game with the box as well and the CALENDAR of Forsaken from the big box with December being the teaser or whatever for Shadowman!. I love this game! and the pc big box is massive
After playing my 3 Descents on PS1/PC and Overload on PS4...this will be a great carry over, especially since it looks like Descent reboot isn't happening now! I love your remasters Night Dive keep them coming! Turok and Turok 2 controls were such a pain on N64, on top of those games plus Shadowman looking all blurry thanks to N64s native hardware aliasing issues. I have all LRG physical copies of your games too, hoping Shadowman and this make it to disc/cart as well :-D

I just hope that the single player levels appear the same as they did with the n64 port. Never played the PS nor PC version.
Try to beat level 3 Nuclear Power Facility on PSX, developer make stupid thing, turn on timer! Ok! We must turn down 5 switchers. I play on total mayhem mode! Ok! Way developer not make timer off if we complite all 5 switchers down, and we can in calm interrior try find secrets and kill last enemy for statistics! But no! I can't beat this level without lusing life. I beat 2 levels on perfect! This stupid developer feature broke my perfect walkthrough!
Plan to bring it back to the PC as well via download services such as GoG and Steam? With the CD music included as an extra file on the harddrive? I still have a CD copy of Forsaken for the PC, but it would be nice to have a version that didn't require the CD in the drive to play (and for music.) Original had full compatibility (DirectInput 5+) with 6DOF joysticks, hopefully that stays intact.
I played the shit outta this on N64 back in the day, kind of annoyed that I didn't hear about this sooner! Don't listen to the imbeciles who claim this game is simply a Descent clone...that's like calling any and every FPS a Quake clone...Forsaken took the "6 degrees of freedom" and ran with it, putting a great story and concept and weapons and AI and visuals all together and was far more memorable than Descent.

0:38 - I remember being stuck on this level for ages as a kid. Turns out you absolutely must use the trojax on this strange looking switch (it looks like a paid of headpones)

This game was a crappy rip off of Descent. It was terrible compared to D2 and D3.

GoG has Bioforge and heard it plays well on modern systems. Hasn't been remastered though.

20 bucks in a day and age where 25 gets you Overload is not a very good marketing approach. The old Descent games are a tenner each and are just as old as this one. Let's not pretend the remaster is expansive or that a lot was changed and added to the core game to justify the 20 dollar price tag.
It has levels from both PC and N64 versions, original CD audio soundtrack + original music created just for N64 version. They even changed one of the levels just for this release. They also added 3D map (similar to map in Metroid Prime) which wasn't in any original versions.
Since N64 version is completely different this is basically two games in one.

I recently starting playing Forsaken on the psone, and....well...the controls feel like ass, it's really hard to aim at the enemies that are flying all over the place. It's made an otherwise pretty cool game hard to enjoy. So I'm looking forward to your version, which I imagine will have much more user-friendly analog stick controls. :)

They did combine two different versions of game (N64 and PC) in to one.
