    Man would rather will nothingness than will nothing at all. That is, in nihilism and depression, we will ourselves into a catatonic state of hibernation, the lowest possible state of physical energy to sustain a painful and self-pitying wakefulness -- so strong is the power of our will that we are driven to kill ourselves rather than endure willing nothing at all. I am reminded of this insight everytime I impulsively entertain depressive or suicidal thoughts. Certainly, a creature whose will is strong enough to drive its body and spirit to death is a powerful one. And I say to myself, "if I am powerful enough to kill myself, I must also be powerful enough to live"
    ~ Nietzsche

I just got myself back to the gym, and I am devouring videos like yours,The Ark and his Greek mythology and the return to NATURE, as well as what was the Stoic Viking but now is Nowhere Near Weak. I am a pagan,an Odinist and all of this is relevant to becoming a better version of myself, and I truly appreciate your wisdom and motivation. Most people think of power as having or gaining control over others. It seems that true power however comes from control over one’s self.

    I think most of Nietzsche's readers overlook some important concepts from modern existentialism, especially Sartre's ideas, which complements the somewhat individualism found within Nietzsche by arguing that our actions influences others' acts, and that we should therefore seek freedom not just for ourselves, but fight for it for the sake of mankind. We shape our world more than we imagine

      Even back then most men are powerless outside of their wives. Having a wife is the 2nd lowest form of power. Lowest is power over your own mind and body. Then its leading a wife. Then its leading your communy. Then its leading your country. You can skip the wife and grow power in community but you can't skip power over your mind and body. Your mind is low power because you are skipping steps going for women before you even can control yourself.

  • @davesmith5939

    You can get high with this philosophy, but your actualisation of power is validation seeking. Those who rise to the top, do effortlessly. The chad’s do nothing to become a chad. Those who are good at soccer are just good at it. So the ‘good’ is finding the truth, finding where you fit and accepting it. And the truth is, you are in your peak somewhere 16-18. It is a myth that value just goes up indefinitely, it does for like 0.0000000001% but everyone else peaks 16-18. So should get married. And then finding where you fit in the world and accepting it. Some are born leaders, some are born singers. Find your god given position and accept it.

      Why you think everyone has some special talent that they are born with?
      What if their special talent is following someone's order or no special talent at all
      What about those people

    • @TLOGr8
      @TLOGr8 7 місяців тому

      I think they’re saying those people who have those talents should enjoy the unique path of their own life. Your “value,” can only truly come from the self. Nietzsche struggled with his own philosophy towards the end of his life. It’s not about what power means to your neighbors but what it means to you.

    • @mustaphad1319
      @mustaphad1319 5 місяців тому +2

      This is opposing to what Nietzsche says. Anyone who gets anywhere on talent alone does not have will to power. Think of how people with disabilities such as missing limbs or blindness over come obstacles or abled bodied through hard work and perseverance. That is true power.

    It was good.. You spend the video talking about the struggle, the sacrifice, the progress, the problem solving and overcoming.. The Will to Power; but then you end on talking about yourself and your pleasure seeking.. You try to justify it as a spiritual ritual or some greater expression of power to partake in festival and debauch3ry of wom3n. But in reality it is dissipation.. it is decadence.. it is the dominance of your inner last man. When you find purpose within indulgence, you are on the wrong path my friend. Drunken with validation and the evolutionary chemistry that is evoked from the powerful beauty of wom3n. It can just as easily be ripped away from you. It is better to be stoic and unaffected by the feminine rather than imprisoned by the thirst of it's ecstasy. Beware the gratification of dancing with the deviI. .... Otherwise, it was good (the video)

    • @iamKristianBell
      @iamKristianBell  7 місяців тому +6

      I disagree.
      I feel ecstatic in many areas of my life. Writing. Training. Dancing. Brotherhood. And festivals.
      Perhaps this negativity is projectiom from you because of bad experiences with women?
      Festivals are full of hedonism true, but there is also something profound that is not demonic, but daemonic. All of our ancestors participated in communal festivals and dance often, for good reason.

    Don׳t want to interrupt the echo chamber but Nietzsche’s philosophy is a whole bunch of bs. Why do I say that because in no way was he able to become an uberman himself. The guy died young, died broke, and lonely. He disliked Plato for standing for a worldview that Nietzsche disliked, yet Plato’s philosophy has stood the test of time and has contributed more to humanity than Nietzsche ever will

      @@stibb-qu3lf either way Nietzsche’s belief system has shown again and again to be overvalued. The assumptions are inaccurate to begin with, and the results have been mediocre at best. Again let’s compare to Plato’s ideas. 150 years after Plato’s death there was both the Academy and the Lyceum which can trace their teachings to him. He had produced Aristotle as a protégé and Alexander the great himself became a student of Aristotle. Leading to the known world becoming more Hellenized and civilized. Plato’s teachings even influenced Christianity. Even today Plato’s ideas resonate better than any other philosopher including Nietzsche (2,400 years later).

He is for humanism and for the supremacy of life yet he employs power and individualism as a means of self fulfillment when it obviously has harmful consequences on society. Theres way better models than the ubermensch in order to find meaning and achieve self-actualization. He likes criticizing other opinions but his alternatives are not useful or great, at all. The only parts of his works that still hold value are : his critique of christianity/societal norms, and his nihilism.
