  • Shmura matza is undoubtedly the closest we can come to the matza that our ancestors ate when they left slavery in Egypt. The flour and water used to hand make these round matzos are unique in that they are closely supervised and guarded from the time they are harvested and drawn.
The Rebbe emphasized the great halachic and spiritual benefits of this “bread of faith” and “bread of healing” not only to those who use shmura matza at their own Passover tables, but also to those who answer his call to ensure that each and every Jew has the opportunity to do so, too.

It's good to know that the Rebbe said the Matza brings healing and correction.

Thank you for posting this video. I am the son of the man Rabi Wineberg mentions at 1m35s. Who can I contact to see if the letter my father wrote to the Rebbe was kept in the Rebbe's archives? Slim chance I know, but I have to ask...

I have no clue, but if it were me, I would see if the 770 Chabad has a phone number or I would ask your nearest Chabad Rabbi, they may know how to do this.

Your obligation is to bring heaven down to earth by serving G-d.
I interpret to serve G-d as to serve humanity by working hard.
That could be as a garbage man making sure the streets are clean, as a scientist to work for better more efficient forms of energy or as a doctor curing disease, as an artist enriching our lives. etc. etc.
And the Torah is the law which guides us along the way, teaching us to do the right thing.

“The Rebbe believed in the power of the individual, in the importance of their actions and their impact on the entire world, in accordance with the teaching of Maimonides:1 ‘If he performs one mitzvah, he tips his balance and that of the entire world to the side of merit and brings deliverance and salvation to himself and others.’”

A mitzvah is a positive deed or could be a commandment from G-d from the Torah. The obligation is to fulfill your potential goodness and to make the Earth a fit dwelling place for G-d through your vitreous deeds and character.
