When I was a kid, I’m almost 67 now, Halloween was always way below freezing. I remember having to bundle up and still end up with frozen, painful fingers.
I work at a plant nursery and your videos have helped me help so many people prepare their landscapes for the sudden freeze. My friends at work wonder how I know so far in advance and I always point them to your channel. Keep up the awesome work!!!
I can tell you, in northwest Wisconsin, the temperature dropped pretty quickly today. It was in the upper 50s. Now it's 40. I'm never really ready for the cold.

I remember as a child Halloweens with the damp chilly air, leaves rustling down the wet street.. just eerie feeling!! Of course that was a couple years ago back in the late 60's and early '70's !!
Ahhh I remember as a child of the Western PA mountains in the 80's we used to make sure our costumes fit over our snow suits because it may snow or may be really cold! Hasn't been like that for many years!

Edit: Yall need to realize that FOR MY AREA, he is better at prediction than the weatherman, that being the people who give out forecasts on TV AND in the app.

Pogtuber5146, in my area R.H. has been consistently correct. Nobody is 100% all of the time but he is a very gifted meteorologist who has literally saved many many lives.

Well, he's as accurate as most! It's just that he's so much fun to watch! It's obvious he loves what he's doing, and he DOES have a knack for following the correct models. He may have a much better read on what others forecast, as he really does his homework. That slight Tennessee twang doesn't hurt, and he's just so dang cute!

I've been waiting for your weather update. Were supposed to have some very crazy weather the next few days here in Southwest Tennessee. My heart is with my family in Lewiston and Auburn Maine. We're still waiting to hear if they're okay. My hubby has lost 4 friends.

One Halloween in the mid-1990s we had about 4 inches of snow here in SW Ohio! The kids had to be all bundled up with their costumes on over winter coats and such to go trick-or-treat. I miss those days sometimes...siiighh.
I live on Arkansas and he never seems to fail, listen to him even while in storm cellar during storm season and he's always on top of things. Thank you Ryan for all you do and keeping us safe.
Where I live the town council schedules Trick or Treating for either the Friday before or the Friday after Halloween, depending on where in the week the 31st falls. So the kids are all going out tonight instead of actual Halloween. They won’t have to freeze.

I remember in like 2013, I was working a haunted house and it was absolutely cold outside. So I spent time outside the exit door and was still getting so many scares because people thought it was over. I miss those days.

Yup, i40w to i15n, avoid Wyoming like the plague, you can also take us191 from i40 up to i70w then to i15. That’s the route I like as a truck driver
In 1993 it snowed on 10/31 in Paragould, Arkansas. I can always remember because my brother wrote the date real big in the snow and took a picture of it.
Yah, Jan ‘93 brought zero days of k-12 public schools in most of central WV as it had a high of 10 F and actually dropped to -22F on a couple of evenings. 38” of snow overnight to start the month of Jan a day or two after Christmas of ‘92. All roads had 5” to 8” of compacted ice…. Too cold to start diesel buses parked at country homes of drivers in many many counties… we had tractors in barns, so kept warm to clear roads for more than a miles in three directions…. Then shared a generator on a small trailer behind the tractors for 90min with each of 5 neighbors within a mile….

Northern MN got 5 inches overnight...many areas have no heat. Few flakes are falling in Northern WI right now.
It snowed on Halloween in 1993 here in Kentucky, the winter of 1994 was a record breaker for snow.
I was here for it!
There's a 1 in 3 shot for a rain/snow mix the night before Halloween in Hickman County TN with lows as low as 23

I actually have a severe fear of tornados despite never being in one (thank God) to the point where when it rains or God forbid thunder and lightning, I sit and have waves of panic attacks. I constantly check weather apps, alerts ect it has gotten worse over the years and it has been so horrible on my mental health. I have 4 kids and a husband, no basement or shelter (yet) so I think I need some help for sure. I've been looking into better help but I can't afford therapy like that unfortunately. I pray I can get help, I hate that I'm so fearful over something that COULD happen but isn't certain to ever happen to me personally.
Praying for you. There is nothing wrong with checking weather apps and all that. Just have a plan incase of something happening. But you don't have to worry so much. Do things when it storms that helps keep your mind busy. Clean, watch TV, most places have alerts and even alarms on your phone if there is one in your area. I have been in one tornado and yeah it was a little nerve racking but when you have a plan and are prepared it's much better
After having spent a good majority of my life riding out major hurricanes, some with embedded tornadoes, I can tell you that storm PTSD is real. The best thing I have found is to have multiple weather sources delivering alerts and updates (whoever is fastest with the info) and having a "lights out" kit that includes all the regular things like batteries, flashlights, lanterns, an alcohol cookstove etc. but also, bike helmets for all family members (see the FEMA website for a complete list). The best way I can tell you that a tornado is coming is to have a battery operated NOAA weather radio and listen for alerts. Also, when all the air pressure inside your house rushes out and you can't open a door (feels like its locked) and your ears pop or close up, be in your safe space and hunker down until the all clear is sounded. The local weather folks in AL are very very good at watching that street level doppler radar to tell where that tornado is, where its heading next and if there is debris associated with it. Trust the experts, like Ryan Hall Ya'll. They will let you know when its time to get to your safe space!

I just wanna add: to anyone who's ever been a victim of bullying / hate / violence because of their appearance, gender, orientation, race : DO NOT ever let a hateful notion 'there's something wrong with me' sink in. Trust me, it's a recipe for self hatred and compulsive anxieties later on. When we suffer and we need a break, it's only natural to think: maybe if I wasn't 'different', if I was 'normal' I would be accepted. No, haters will always find something else to prey upon. I've always had kinda androgynous look, which was a fuel for bullies when I was growing up. I embraced it, used it to my advantage in my acting / modeling career, I was almost the face of Leon in these new Resident Evil games :)
My hope is that everyone stays safe during all of this cold weather.

What happened to global warming
Global warming is real and natural, we are currently leaving an ice age.
Global warming is part of the reason why the temperature is dropping so low right now. It means more extremes of weather and temperatures and this can apply to both summer and winter. Remember there is a difference between climate and weather.
