  • Bar Clamps made from aluminum and stainless steel components are a heavy duty and a high precision tool.
I designed them myself using the unique and innovative idea, which is based on the very high precision cuts, allowing 2 parts of the jaw to fit perfectly and move seamlessly.
The choice of the materials follows my usual requirements for the timeless tools intended for life long use, and to be passed to the next generations = my kids and grand kids.
I also want my critical tools such as bar clamps, to be wear resistant, water proof, elements resistant, and easy to clean. Bar clamps are one of if not THE most often used woodworking tools, as almost every project requires the glue up. With that in mind, I wanted my most often used tools to be the best I can buy or make. After over a year of market research, I couldn't find the clamps that were as good as my own design and make. So I decided to design and produce my own.
I used a modular approach, so should I need much longer bars, I can simply cut the aluminum profile to longer pieces, and mount my jaws exactly the same modular way.
I have to say, I am very happy with my 1st bar clamps prototype. I might improve it in the future, but I think this design will last me life long.
The aluminium structure makes these clamps relatively light, yet very sturdy and stiff. I don't think they will flex at all.
The stainless steel threaded insert for the stainless steel threaded rod or bolt, guarantee the longevity of the moving parts, especially that there will be heavy load on these parts at all times. This will prevent the aluminum from wearing out when the clamping pressure is applied.

At Tiger Carpenter, I use both hand tools as well as power tools to make furniture and wood working jigs.
I put a lot of thought into the design and optimization of the furniture and jigs I make. I like to come up with the improvements of the tools or jigs that are already out there, and share my ideas or findings with the community so that we all can benefit from the new upgraded versions or iterations of each invention.
I also implement the principle of aiming for perfection, even though I make a lot or mistakes and errors like all humans do. I learn from the mistakes I made, and I raise the bar for every next project.

That s some precision to match these two parts so damn well.
The design of these clamps is ingenious

Carpententry uses most of the tools that are made of metal. And I'm not limited to the carpentry, I can make anything I want if it's useful for my purposes
I think my bar clamps design is unique. The parts that need to be wear resistant are made from hardened stainless steel. The aluminium bar extrusion is very sturdy and stiff and doesn't bend when the wooden boards are clamped.
After couple of years of using these bar clamps, they passed the test with flying colours

Well done, that was excellent. I will now have a go myself. Thankyou.
