Some excellent 2023 releases here. The new Jean Paul Gautier "Elixir" and Paco Rabanne 1 Million "Royal" are definitely the best ones on this list too. I purchased both of them a few weeks ago.
1 million Royal is underrated immensely compared to the others, the Dry down is Superb. This is where you really get the best of the fragrance. Most people don’t even experience it because they move on from the initial impression.

Not sure about Le Male Elixer yet, but recently blind bought Born in roma Intense and it's got a really addictive scent much like VUI. Another great offering from valentino and I'm becoming a fan.😀

After a workout tonight i sprayed elixir on my arm just for fun. This was one of the first times i noticed the mint a lot in the opening. Later, i showered and after i got out i could smell it just slightly, but it became the honey tobacco drydown. It's so good and it was a cool experience to smell the transformation, not all frags have a great open and close!

Scent Magnetic is truly beautiful juice. When I first bought mine (some time ago) I bought 50ml. Less then 24 hours later I was back at the store buying a further 100ml I like it so much. I'll be needing yet another bottle to see me through next winter.

I love Y EDP intense, well balanced blend. Classy, fresh, not to sweet, and the creamy dry down is magical. The projection on the first 3 hours is crazy tho, room filler for me.
Can confirm this is totally true. Five sprays is more than enough, and he's right about that slightly earthy smell in the dry down (I'm guessing that the patchouli). The opening is stunning.
Recently got le male elixir and not dissapointed one bit, its just simply delicious, I get a lovely nutty and caramel like gourmand aroma from it and the bottle is stunning also, cant wait to wear more of it as we come into autumn/winter.
@@rottenrebels personally I prefer elixir, I already bought Armani code parfum because both have iris in it and I always personally preferred armani code to le male, maybe code will be the next to get an elixir it seems to be the trend right now and Armani is due one.

hey ROTTEN I love your style and your videos man!! I bought ocean edp and victory elixir at the same time a couple months ago and I'm loving them both. Between the two victory has the better performance but the scent of ocean edp is sooooo sweet and lovely. Another great video from the REBEL!!

Hello, well, let me tell you my experience my friend. I bought Valentino Born in Roma Intense, absolutely loved it. The problem was that it didn't last very long. So I returned it and bought One Million Royal instead and is a gorgeous scent! It is different enough from Born In Roma Intense. So yes, get both, you won't regret it. Maybe the Valentino last longer on you than on me. One that I recommend to you too, is Invictus Elixir, really good!

@rottenrebels Sure I really dig this new trend for vanilla olibanum resinous scents From those the best I smelled were The best so far Boss the scent magnetic Bad boy extreme 1 million royal (love those first three the most) Invictus victory elixir Phantom Parfum I did also like Kenzo edt marine. I am a big fan of the brand for years starting ages ago with L'Eau par Kenzo Also 2022 kenzo homme edp is my 5 top scent and a beast mode in my collection. I recently tried YSL Y edp intense and it was super good. Strong masculine without that apple note from edp. So they are all very good this year I'm also planning to try le male elixir And looking forward to Boss bottled elixir (already popping at duty free) Oh also what I found phenomenally fresh and alluring was Acqua di Gio parfum but here the DNA is not technically new

My favourite is one million Parfum. If you don't have that, I would strongly advise you to at least check it out before you buy royal. It smells stunning, and is an absolute beast of a performer. Best in the one million line by far IMO.
is aqua di gio profumo considered a strong fragrance like blue the chanel edp? i saw some for sale but i cant get a tester i am not like a super strong scent guy so i was wondering if the profumo by aqua di gio would be a good choice
Amazing videos you do. While on vacation I couldnt resist ordering a full bottle of Xerjoff Tony Iommi Monkey Special. Have you tried this? I overlooked this and discovered tons of rave reviews on youtube. I looked on fragrantica too. After 2 days in a row of wearing it, Im sooo blown away. This magical cologne develops so good over the hours. Ive never smelled anything close to this scent. Reviewers had to really go long in describing and enjoying the notes. It carries very good on sillage and great performer. It is not polar. I cant believe how good it is. For leather lovers the note is there but not a central note. It gives gourmand pleasing leather note. Rose scent is slight. The first spray scent seems like rose is kicking and then fades. It isnt citrus blast opening but thick and easy. Also there is no labeling on scent type. I feel a bit of wood, bit of spice, bit of fruit, bit of 'manly ' floral, bit deep earthy, and aromatic.
My friend have you tried Joop le parfum? (2022 release) Just got it two days ago (125ml for £30) and Wow. What a gem. Iris, tonka, vanilla. And thick like Cherry Halls candies note in the base. All dark and warm. It is rich and long-lasting and juice has a fantastic colour. I'm telling you try it. We have similar taste and I know you'll be delighted.

It may be worth you getting a sample to try. Joop parfum is absolutely nothing like Joop Homme, as it's much heavier, slightly darker and richer, and it has zero sickly sweetness. It's really a very nice fragrance, and I'm someone who dislikes Joop Homme as much as you do. Decent performance and a great smell.
Exactly. I know Joop homme sucks but this Le parfum and only this one from the line is from a different planet. If you wouldn't see the bottle it could easily go for a new Azzaro wanted flanker or new le male elixir It's great !!!!! Dark Iris with vanilla and lavender with that hint of cherries in the base. You'd love it 100% Plus it is long lasting😮

I have Mont Blanc Individuel; it is phenomenal. KHAMRAH, in my opinion is better than Angel Share. I have Angel Share but honestly; I think that it’s overrated. ELISIUM is the absolute truth but I use it sparingly because it’s not cheap. I have yet to try Oud For Greatness BUT; Oud For Glory is outstanding. NOW! Club De Nuit Intense Man is the ultimate clone of Creed Aventis! I also have Bakarat Rouge 540. This is another one that I use sparingly but it is awesome. There is one that I would like to add if I may: This fragrance is called VENTANA by Armaf. This is a replica of Dior SAUVAGE. Very very good clone.
Le male elixir, Invictus victory elixir and The scent magnetic are the top dogs in 2023 for me, then comes Valentino intense and Luna rossa ocean edp. We can't complain at all about this year's releases
Thanks for sharing! What are your thoughts on redundancy when it comes to a lot of this years best releases being focused on vanilla? I don't think there's an issue with that as they are all doing their own thing and not too similar 😊
You are right, thisnyear vanilla is the star of the show, but you can also say that for other older classic fragrances that use vanilla prominently, like JPG le male, le male le parfum, armani stronger with you, Tom Ford tobacco vanille, just to name a few. One note in common doesn't necessarily make them redundant. Some really are generic, yes, but this year I like the variety we got
Top 5 fall / winter: Le Male Elixir, Spicebomb Infrared EdP, The Scent Magnetic, Chopard Cedar Malaki, Givenchy Gentleman Society. Top 5 spring / summer: Guerlain Ideal Platine Prive, YSL Y EdP Intense, Issey Miyake Vetiver, AdG Parfum.
I saw the chopard the other day. felt it was too expensive though (priced at 150) so might pick it up later on. Is it similar to something else and do You recommend it? I have not tried the Guerlain. Love their stuff though.
@@rottenrebelsWhere I live Chopard's get heavily discounted after a while, so you can wait. To me the Malaki line is similar to the Signature line from Dunhill. They don't smell the same, but you would wear them for the same reasons. Very mature and sophisticated and reasonably priced at discounters.
@@rottenrebels Since you have some of them, I would say that this one is more focused on woody & green notes. I would say that there is a strong "family resemblance" with some of the others. They don't smell the same, but they have the same wearing experience. Silky smooth and very polished.

2023 has definitely been the year of vanilla focused fragrances. Not sure if it's by chance that a lot of brands have new vanilla fragrances out or a trend.. As for le male elixir, phantom parfum and born in roma intense, I don't think they are that similar. Might be some similarities between JPG le male elixir and BiR intense but so much I feel they are the same. Phantom parfum is quite different to the rest. 😊

Hi! What do you mean with diluted? You feel the bigger bottles are not the same as the smaller ones? I have bought some smaller ones and not noticed any difference compared to the bigger ones.
I absolutely hate that the new ADG is so effing expensive. I cant justify that purchase. Once Macy's has its sale I'll consider picking it up. These companies have lost their dam minds with these ridiculous prices!
I could be wrong but I think something happened sometime last year.. Can't remember which fragrance it was and exactly when, but I was surprised at the high price of a new release. And then almost all following releases (different brands) were around that same kinda high level. Not sure what is behind the increase. If it follows everything else (supply chain issues, cost of production, etc) or if it's something else. But yeah, new fragrances nowadays are prices a lot higher than just a couple of years ago. 😟
If the only JPG you've tried Ultra Male is ultra male.. Then you need to check out le male le parfum and le male elixir.. Both those are some of the very best from JPG🔥

1 Million Elixir is much better than 1 Million Royal. In my opinion they took a small step back with that one, it's still great I own it and have worn it a few times but it doesn't project as well and overall the performance is not as good as last year's Elixir release. I will not be buying that one again, that's what I get for doing a blind buy
@@rottenrebels It would've been a nice blind buy if it was better than Elixir. So for me in my case it was redundant and not a good buy. According to all these reviews I assumed it would be a better fragrance, yes it is still a great fragrance but if you have Elixir already I would not recommend Royal
I'm not a big fan of sweet fragrances 😢 fresh, woody, smoky, citrus, even spicy...but not sweet. love Ralph's Club Elixir, Sauvage Elixir, YSL Intense. YSL Myslf is pretty solid but my go to especially for summer is Versace Eau Fraiche.
With YSL intense you mean Y EDP Intense or? Versace Man Eau Fraiche is a great scent. I do reach for Versace Pour Homme way more often though. Have you tried that one?

I've just really got into collecting colognes this year I've been so I enjoy watching your videos an I see one on here I usely go smells wear it an it smells good on me an girlfriend like I buy it I've gotten 8 bottles in the last 3 months
Le male le parfum has a prominent cardamom note (so you get that spiciness) together with a big dose of a powdery vanilla, a bit of lavender and a very soft woodiness in the background. So it's almost a must to like vanilla and powdery fragrances to enjoy that one 😊If you think you would enjoy that then there's a chance you might like it.
JPG Elixir would last longer, way sweeter and more masculine type of scent, just my opinion. Valentino born in Roma smell great, sweet and a touch of fresh lavender awesome fragrance as well, just make sure to try both before considering buying choosing. Again I would consider buying JPG Elixir because I’ve already done my comparison on skin on both fragrances. Best of luck!!

Oh also what I found phenomenally fresh and alluring was Acqua di Gio parfum but here the DNA is not technically new

My favourite is one million Parfum. If you don't have that, I would strongly advise you to at least check it out before you buy royal. It smells stunning, and is an absolute beast of a performer. Best in the one million line by far IMO.

Amazing videos you do. While on vacation I couldnt resist ordering a full bottle of Xerjoff Tony Iommi Monkey Special. Have you tried this? I overlooked this and discovered tons of rave reviews on youtube. I looked on fragrantica too. After 2 days in a row of wearing it, Im sooo blown away. This magical cologne develops so good over the hours. Ive never smelled anything close to this scent. Reviewers had to really go long in describing and enjoying the notes. It carries very good on sillage and great performer. It is not polar. I cant believe how good it is. For leather lovers the note is there but not a central note. It gives gourmand pleasing leather note. Rose scent is slight. The first spray scent seems like rose is kicking and then fades. It isnt citrus blast opening but thick and easy. Also there is no labeling on scent type. I feel a bit of wood, bit of spice, bit of fruit, bit of 'manly ' floral, bit deep earthy, and aromatic.

It may be worth you getting a sample to try. Joop parfum is absolutely nothing like Joop Homme, as it's much heavier, slightly darker and richer, and it has zero sickly sweetness.
It's really a very nice fragrance, and I'm someone who dislikes Joop Homme as much as you do.

How does the phantom parfum perform?
I have Mont Blanc Individuel; it is phenomenal. KHAMRAH, in my opinion is better than Angel Share. I have Angel Share but honestly; I think that it’s overrated. ELISIUM is the absolute truth but I use it sparingly because it’s not cheap. I have yet to try Oud For Greatness BUT; Oud For Glory is outstanding. NOW! Club De Nuit Intense Man is the ultimate clone of Creed Aventis! I also have Bakarat Rouge 540. This is another one that I use sparingly but it is awesome. There is one that I would like to add if I may: This fragrance is called VENTANA by Armaf. This is a replica of Dior SAUVAGE. Very very good clone.

Le male elixir, Invictus victory elixir and The scent magnetic are the top dogs in 2023 for me, then comes Valentino intense and Luna rossa ocean edp. We can't complain at all about this year's releases

You are right, thisnyear vanilla is the star of the show, but you can also say that for other older classic fragrances that use vanilla prominently, like JPG le male, le male le parfum, armani stronger with you, Tom Ford tobacco vanille, just to name a few. One note in common doesn't necessarily make them redundant. Some really are generic, yes, but this year I like the variety we got
Top 5 fall / winter: Le Male Elixir, Spicebomb Infrared EdP, The Scent Magnetic, Chopard Cedar Malaki, Givenchy Gentleman Society. Top 5 spring / summer: Guerlain Ideal Platine Prive, YSL Y EdP Intense, Issey Miyake Vetiver, AdG Parfum.
I saw the chopard the other day. felt it was too expensive though (priced at 150) so might pick it up later on. Is it similar to something else and do You recommend it?
I have not tried the Guerlain. Love their stuff though.
@@rottenrebelsWhere I live Chopard's get heavily discounted after a while, so you can wait. To me the Malaki line is similar to the Signature line from Dunhill. They don't smell the same, but you would wear them for the same reasons. Very mature and sophisticated and reasonably priced at discounters.

@@rottenrebels Since you have some of them, I would say that this one is more focused on woody & green notes. I would say that there is a strong "family resemblance" with some of the others. They don't smell the same, but they have the same wearing experience. Silky smooth and very polished.

@@rottenrebels I love the scent! I sprayed a little on my hand, it starts off kinda sweet but it’s not a heavy kind of sweet. This is actually my first Valentino. I also bought Uomo Intense, waiting for that one to come in.

2023 has definitely been the year of vanilla focused fragrances.
Not sure if it's by chance that a lot of brands have new vanilla fragrances out or a trend..
As for le male elixir, phantom parfum and born in roma intense, I don't think they are that similar. Might be some similarities between JPG le male elixir and BiR intense but so much I feel they are the same. Phantom parfum is quite different to the rest. 😊

I absolutely hate that the new ADG is so effing expensive. I cant justify that purchase. Once Macy's has its sale I'll consider picking it up. These companies have lost their dam minds with these ridiculous prices!
I could be wrong but I think something happened sometime last year.. Can't remember which fragrance it was and exactly when, but I was surprised at the high price of a new release. And then almost all following releases (different brands) were around that same kinda high level.
Not sure what is behind the increase. If it follows everything else (supply chain issues, cost of production, etc) or if it's something else. But yeah, new fragrances nowadays are prices a lot higher than just a couple of years ago. 😟

1 Million Elixir is much better than 1 Million Royal. In my opinion they took a small step back with that one, it's still great I own it and have worn it a few times but it doesn't project as well and overall the performance is not as good as last year's Elixir release. I will not be buying that one again, that's what I get for doing a blind buy

According to all these reviews I assumed it would be a better fragrance, yes it is still a great fragrance but if you have Elixir already I would not recommend Royal
I'm not a big fan of sweet fragrances 😢 fresh, woody, smoky, citrus, even spicy...but not sweet. love Ralph's Club Elixir, Sauvage Elixir, YSL Intense. YSL Myslf is pretty solid but my go to especially for summer is Versace Eau Fraiche.
With YSL intense you mean Y EDP Intense or? Versace Man Eau Fraiche is a great scent. I do reach for Versace Pour Homme way more often though. Have you tried that one?
@rottenrebels Y EDP Intense, so so good. i had a bottle of Versace Pour Homme, used it, but for some reason, i never repurchased. there was something about the opening that i did not like. the dry down is fantastic though. currently trying out Carolina Herrera Bad Boy Extreme...its surprisingly growing on me.

The beauty of le male le parfum is 💯💯
Le male le parfum has a prominent cardamom note (so you get that spiciness) together with a big dose of a powdery vanilla, a bit of lavender and a very soft woodiness in the background. So it's almost a must to like vanilla and powdery fragrances to enjoy that one 😊If you think you would enjoy that then there's a chance you might like it.
Luna rossa has nothing with amber or vanilla its just fresh aquatic

JPG Elixir would last longer, way sweeter and more masculine type of scent, just my opinion.
Valentino born in Roma smell great, sweet and a touch of fresh lavender awesome fragrance as well, just make sure to try both before considering buying choosing.
Again I would consider buying JPG Elixir because I’ve already done my comparison on skin on both fragrances. Best of luck!!
