- Hey friends! Today I'm sharing Riley's toddler night time routine! This is what Riley's bedtime routine looks like from the time she eats her dinner until she goes to bed. My son is 15 months now but it was a struggle to get him to eat. He barely had 2 bottom teeth at 12 months so I was afraid of choking. And he also wasn’t interested in food. So he mainly had puréed food. What worked for me is introducing small pieces of solids at every meal. We started with rice,beans, and eggs. Then small pieces of steamed broccoli, green beans and other veggies. At 13 months he was fully eating real food. Also, when you offer her food what really helps is that she sees you eating and you exaggerate saying it’s good and trust me she will then eat it. And praise when she does. Hope it helps !

It’s so interesting to see how other mamas do things! I have a 14 month old little girl. We usually do dinner at 5:00 and she eats pretty much anything (she prefers baby food for breakfast so I totally feel you on that one, I never thought I’d still be buying baby food at this point lol darn picky eaters). After dinner she’ll play in her room and we’ll read stories and look at books until about 6:00 or 6:15 when we start bath time. Then we put her in jammies but we usually don’t do any lotion or products on her. And then we give her a bottle (4 oz whole milk with 2 oz formula) and she’s in bed around 7:00. We recently moved her to a toddler bed and it’s been a struggle and a half the last few nights to keep her in her bed after we put her down. Hoping that she’ll get the hang of things soon!

My youngest HATED baby cereal and puréed food when it came time to introduce foods. She would spit it out and refused to eat any more. The only thing she would eat was pinto beans that I made in the pressure cooker with a little salt and granulated garlic (native New Mexican here, we love our beans 😂). I would purée them with an immersion blender. Occasionally I’d toss in a few veggies or meat before blending so that she’d get nutritional variety. Over time I started leaving it less chunky to where I could just smash up her food with a fork. I remember her being about 7 months and somebody at a restaurant was completely blown away that she ate table food with everyone else (smashed up, of course). She’s now 15 months old and eats solid food (meats, veggies, you name it) as long as it’s cut up into pieces that she can feed herself. It just takes time and lots of patience 💕

I know this is an old video but just want to say that Riley was probably the most intelligent 15 month old I have ever seen. It’s all because of you I am sure!!! :)
I would try and give her the gerber entree meals. My daughter loves them. They are very soft and it's the perfect portion for their little tummy's. I'm happy to know I'm not the only one struggling with feeding 💯💯

I have a 15 month old (ironically also named Rylee) who also does not eat solid foods but not because she doesn’t want to. She gags most times she tried. She has to see a feeding and speech specialist.

What the beat idea would have been Is introducing a crib or bassinet the first night she would have gotten home.

Give her solids and when she gets hungry enough she will sit there and eat her solids you are the adult and the boss not a 15 month old!!!!!! That 8s so so so ridiculous for her to be mainly pureed no wonder she has eating problems Kayla
