- I was cleaning my closet and what do you know, I own a Sega Saturn. This is from the "Bootleg Sampler" demo disk that came with the system. These were the glory days of Sega Sports. Check out those awesome-tacular 1995 graphics. And how skinny the players are.
This music still gets stuck in my head to this day.
I remember playing the sampler disc against a friend in 1996 or 1997. I played as Ken Griffey Jr. and my friend played as Rafael Belliard, then of the Braves. I don't remember who won but I do remember Belliard hitting about 8 or 9 home runs and averaging around 395 feet for those home runs.
For those who don't know of Belliard, he had a 20 year career, or close to it, and hit a grand total of 2 home runs in his career. One of the two just barely got over the wall.
Yojoeski I remember him
EXACTLY what I was looking for man, thanks for the upload. This reminds me of an awesome birthday - Disneyland & a Saturn with Die Hard Arcade and this demo disc. Good times.
Ahh the good old days
Boy, do I remember playing this with my dad when I was little. I think I remember always picking the Indians. I loved their logo.
My now ex-best friend had a Saturn and the bootleg sampler disc, which I now have. That has this game on it, but you can only choose home run derby on it. He would pick McGwire and I would pick Ken Griffey Jr.
This is the last year (2018) the Indians will be wearing that logo (although the fans will still be able to buy it on clothes/hats). Enjoy it while it lasts.
I love the music especially in home run derby mode! So catchy!
World series baseball 94 95 96 were the shit
SOOOO many memories, man!!! Used to love this game...
That "SEA YUUUHHHH" really needed another take.
That’s my second favorite call in the game. Only “GOOOOOOODBYYYYYYYYYYYE!!!” gets a higher mark from me.
Hilarious
Haha I remember those times. Knew exactly who you were going to pick except Palmeiro.
He wasn't a very good batter in the game. I only picked him for his lecturing Congress about how he had NEVER used steroids. PERIOD! And then it turned out he did.
@@SirFing lol that’s right I forgot about that!
This music is a whole vibe
5:48 He never used steroids. Periodt.
I remember playing this on the Sega Saturn Bootleg Sampler. I always loved hearing the 'Gooooodbye!'.
SavvyDude That’s my favorite call, the next one being, “SEE YA!!”
Sounded like Barney to me lol
Bonds was awesome
Griffey and Bonds both hit the furthest homers on this game. 570' 571'
I would always play as Griffey.
I never owned any games for Saturn, just the console and the demo disc. The demo disc had Daytona USA and WSB Home Run Derby. The limitation being you could only be Jose Canseco (Red Sox version).
Jose Canseco was my favorite player and for the entire Summer of 1996 I socked monster zingers with Jose Canseco every single day. My entire Sega Saturn experience was Jose Canseco baseball smash '96 and that is why it is my favorite system. I'm glad he did steroids he was the king of kings.
Just curious how you got a Saturn but never had any games? That makes me sad. :(
This game was awesome.
I had World Series Baseball for regular Sega Genesis, it was pretty good but there were times when it was glitchy. You'd make a perfect run to a liner in the outfield and it would go through you and all the way to the wall lol
Hmm... I forgot Sosa was juicing. I only remembered that he was corking bats.
I am just realizing this now. I remember Sosa and McGwire chasing the single-season HR record in 1999, but nor do I remember Sosa getting popped for steroids the way I remember the others.
Thanks for the post!
damn i miss this so much. I remember picking McGwire all the time.
Steroids and Corked bats Sosa
SEEH YAH!
Albert Belle is the best hitter in this game. Try him out next time. Thanks for uploading!
Was Belle juicing? I always thought Griffey Jr. Was the best hitter but he never got caught juicing. He was just a jerk.
+SirFing No That Was Belle Belle Was A Jerk Not Griffey Jr
I always played as Griffey in this game and would beat my best friend's McGwire every time.
My friends and I still say, "Now batting, Albert, BELL!"
Bonds wasn't on steroids in 1994-95 for certain.
This Is What Happens When You Do Steroids Folks This Is A Good Example Of What Not To Do
😢
Would if he didn't get hurt all the time
@Jonathan Washington he wou
Griffey Would've Been Da GOAT
Way too many foul balls
No evidence whatsoever that Bonds was on roids. This is libelous innuendo
his baseball hat grew several sizes on its own?
