Matt I understand that this video is about you showing us what you eat. But I want to give you some tips that have work really good for me. I am currently doing some marathon training, ran my last one week ago in 3:27, and I am also burning tons of calories in a day. So I am more or less at the same situation that you are. Only thing I wanted to say is that you should consider taking your last meal 2o even 3 hours before going to bed. So you can have a better sleep. Thx for sharing this videos, really like your content :)
J Quinn I think it’s because it doesn’t fully digest and causes issues during your sleep so the quality of sleep isn’t as great as it would be if you eat 2/3 hours before going to bed
@@jq3872 basically because your body puts energy into digesting while sleeping instead on committing fully to recovery and focus on its nights processes
One of my coaches from a few years back who played pro in europe and for his national team literally used to eat mcdonalds before every one of his games. Now he drinks beers all the time and still is super fit and skilled. I guess everyone should just stick to what works for them
I have a year and 2 months of training and playing on the weekends before I’m off to England and France for soccer at 14 playing with the matildas and wonderes. I’m still trying to beleive that. I got the note 2 days ago
I can't go pro because im 16 now but thanks Matt, this really helps me because I train twice a day, one in the morning and one in evening. I don't go to the gym but I've workout a lot 3 times a week. Keep doing like this awesome video bro. Greetings from Malaysia,,😀
I do eat quite a bit less but still I’m 14 and a girl playing soccer, growing and behind in my growth and ideal weight. Trying to gain weight as been instructed and I probably eat very similar to you but maybe a little smaller portions. Would recommend one thing, just try using olive oil spray because it has a lot of healthy nutrients in it when using to cook, rather then the Pam spray
Hopefully you see this comment Matt ,but instead of eating Dutch chocolate ice cream there is this chocolate protein bar you can replace it with it’s called Met-Rx bars. The best one you can try is Super Cookie Crunch you can find them in local stores at Walmart or online.
Hey Matt, whats that name of that muscle relaxation spray you sprayed on your pan??? I've been having tight calves for so long and was wondering how that spray helps your muscles relax through the food you eat
What I got out of it is, I got to cut my breads down. The amount of work you do compared to what you eat is small and you’re gaining weight. Explains my problems. Fat burning is a struggle.
Hey Matt, great content! I was wondering if you ever heard of the Wim Hof method (or omething similar. Cold and breathing). If u ever heard of it, do you believe it can boost your sports performance?
Thanks for the tips, I've been following your videos since a while, I weight 90Kgs, and height 1.80 meters, but i love to eat fast food, I also train soccer 1 hour per day and play 3 times per week, If I want to weight 80kgs, which kind of recomendation you could give me???
hey matt, what exactly are you doing from the time you arrive at the complex & the time that training begins ? 45 mins is a pretty significant amount of time so im curious
Tiano Xavier he probably needs to get dressed and settled in... probably also likes being a bit early. Gotta make some good impressions on the coach and get that starting spot
Please stop using that oil spray and buy some extra-virgin olive oil... It's much healthier and it tastes definitely better... And if you want some more variety in your diet about carbs, start considering pasta... It goes well with veggies and it's perfect before trainings and matches
Olive oil is harmful to your body when cooked at high temperature. You better use canola oil that can stand higher temperature. Coconut oil is worse too.
Your body can only take so much protein in one go for it to be all used effectively, for someone your size over 45 grams is an excess which won’t be used, try it all in in smaller portions and have some before bed(that’s when protein synthesis occurs) also 275 grams is probably too much for your body to use you probably only need 3/4 of that.
Your statements are complete broscience which has been debunked by many scientific articles and fitness experts. Meal timing is irrelevant. You don't need to eat protein before bed, nor do you need to limit each meal to 45g of protein. Many people have gotten ripped eating 2 meals a day. Look up intermittent fasting. The only true fact you stated was that 275g of protein is too much.
Con mon you call my arguments bad and go on to give anecdotal, isolated examples, empirical evidence shows spreading out meals and nutrients allows your body to better process them. Intermittent fasting doesn’t work for everybody and definitely isn’t the best for a high performance athlete; rather a bodybuilder.
@@860hurdles2 Intermittent fasting is just an example I was using to show that people have built muscle without needing 6 meals a day and limiting protein per meal. Eating 150g of protein in 2 meals is not wasting protein. As long as you are hitting your macros at the end of the day, you will build muscle. All these little things that you are mentioning have little to no effect.
@ Matt Sheldon I was wondering if that cup of coffee you drank in the morning, is the only cup of coffee you drink during the day? By the way awesome meal schedule. I like the breakfast with eggs, spinach and fruits the most.
@@EasyBreezy41 Right... Excess protein can be very harmful for the body, and can affect athletic performance in a bad way, so i just thought questioning it may be reasonable. Despite having 2 sessions in a day, i still feel that 275G protein is too much. Even sprinters are only recommended around 0.91-1.02g of protein per pound of body mass every day; and sprinters have some hard-ass training sessions...
