love these pov drives, always watch them with overseas channels but have never seen a reviewer that does them in South Africa. Definitely a new subscriber.
@@sebuwam I've wanted to do the same for a while now but never got to start, I'm glad someone is doing it and doing it well. Maybe I'll get pointers from you 😉

Kia should have opted for its 1.0 turbo engine on this one for some of us who stays at high altitude areas like Gauteng. They should prioritize more resources on market research to know what customers really want. Great video, but I'd would have liked the camera to have been mounted much higher for greater view outside. Good luck.
Very true. I think all this compactsmall SUVs with small engines should be turbo charged because in SA we love driving with people. Hence the SUV craze. I think currently the only justified naturally aspirated engine is the Mazda 2Litre. Many are really not inspiring. From my understanding though, Kia will be bringing the 1.0 litre gt line soon. I drove the Nissan Magnite it felt to be way quicker but it was not necessarily stronger.
Hi M, thank you very nuch. 🙂🙂 Really not sure on the GT line, was just told that it might be coming in future and some reports are saying towards the end of this year.
I've booked the HTX Tech line model with the 1.0 litre turbo engine with iMT transmission here in 🇮🇳 India. Gets dual tone interior with beige upholstery
Great review....It is just a pity the fuel consumption is wee bit on the high side...so, Renault jut might see me in a few days time, all depending on the Lotto payout ....😀😀😀
Love your work reviews, it's down to earth and you give your honest opinion. We're in the market for either this or the Nissan Magnite for my wife. Is your choice still the Nissan? Thanks again.
I hardly give straight answers on this but this one is much more comfortable and overall feels more premium compared to the Nissan. The Nissan has more tech (specs) compared to this one but it depends on whether you regard that tech to be a deal breaker, e.g. LED headlights, keyless entry option, semi-all round view camera, cruise control with limit and so on. If I had to choose I will consider what is it that I want, overall the Kia feels more premium and more solid.
Seems like car brands in different countries choose what they think consumers will be receptive to. Otherwise, thank you very much for checking it out on my channel.🙂
Hi, this being on the smaller side of SUVs, its not as insulated as more premium vehicles, which is expected for a car at this price range. So to answer you, it has a bit of road and wind noise but I find it to be at acceptible level.
Well, I can say they probably did that to manage some costs as competition is tough in this segment. I feel you though, competition has push start already at similar pricing.
Serious drawback for those who love performance. Their 1.4Turbo is a great performer but I think they tried to keep the price as low as possible since competition is tough and its a price sensitive segment
Thanks for being first with this review in SA. I enjoyed your perspective. That 0.3kw may have made all the difference up that hill :P
Hi Evan. Thanks a lot for the encouraging words. 🙂. I mean, I still ask myself why not add the 0.3kw, what could have happened?...🤣
You clearly haven't been searching about the sonnet

Great detailed video man! By any chance do you know if the boot opens automatically via the key and any updates on the GT model launch?
Hi, I searched around and I think the boot is manual also on thr GT-line. Unfortunately I haven't gotten any updates as to when will it touch down
This is such a good car! I heard that it has a sunroof, if that true? And does the EX come with push to start.
Hi Gladiator, unfortunately here in SA it does not come with Sunroof. They all come with a traditional key
@@sebuwam ok thanks for the info

Thank you for the informative review. Is the Armrest a standard feature or optional extra on the EX manual?
Hi, thanks a lot. 🙂. The armrest is a standard feature
Beautiful car, whats the price?
Indeed. Starting at R286K for the LX up to R306K for the EX
Is it quite inside the car? how about the wind and road noise when over 80km? thx

I can't believe there is no push button start on this model and theres an actual handbrake...it's not a button!

I'm sorry I can't read as fast as you ...had to pause the video every second to read the description......give the sub a longer delay next time
Apologies for that Ricardo. I tried to fix that with videos that follow, that video was a while back. Forgive me🙌🏽
Is the andriod auto and apple car play feature wireless now?

Yhoo now m evn more confused between this n the nissan magnite😭😭
They are so equally matched, the Kia is just a bit bigger. Its not an easy decision as they both offer almost similar value for money.
I am more confused 😕
@@xolisilebuthelezi3484 well the best way to separate the two is that Nissan has more tech than the Kia, Kia feels more comfortable than Nissan.
I finally went for the kia. thanks alot
