The only video that really helped me! I couldn't use It on my iPhone and now I can. Thank u so much.
Thank you so much.
Heyy bro you are awesome 🙌👏
Thank you! 👏👏👏
Thanks big dog
My T7 shield ssd is in the right format but it still wont be recognized by the iphone :SS
Thank you! Now I'm wondering which format is the best/fastest and also compatible with windows computers.
*EDIT:* After doing some research, it seems that exFAT is the way to go. After trying it out, I can say it's a lot slower than I expected for it to write to an external NVMe that I have connected. Is the USBC to USBC cable that apple provides with the phone, USBC 3.1 Gen 2? * Update:* After further research, the cable provided by Apple for the iPhone 15 Pro only supports up to USB 2 transfer rates. Time to buy a Thunderbolt 4 cable 😆
Hey, yes exFAT is the way to go to have a Drive work in the Apple and Microsoft Ecosystem (as shown in this video)
Regarding the cable provided with the iphone this video might interest you: ua-cam.com/video/dEGdCjs3H94/v-deo.html
@@GreenBoxMedia Thank you! Subbed! My suspicion was right.
I am trying to format to allow my iphone to detect the ssd, but it does not. i erased it from its original format apfs to exfat. on disk utility the top selection for the ssd is what i reformatted and the lower option was already in exfat. after doing so the top still shows apfs, and it is not detected on files when plugging into my phone. any idea what’s going on? thanks!
You might have to apply the changes to the SSD.
Can I use external device in the iPhone 14 pro max just like u showed in the video, please answer
You can use external drives on the iPhone 14 Pro max to store data on it however not to record video directly to it.
@@GreenBoxMedia thanks Sir
Sir do you think it’s a good idea to buy a costly adapter from apple and then SSD
No as you won't have the speed needed to record to SSD you need an iphone 15 pro.
One more query Sir on iOS 17 iPhone 14 pro max apple lighting to usb camera 3 adapter works rite
Hi, thanks for the video. But I would like to know if there's a way to format the SSD without a Mac or a Windows, just using the iPhone itself, is this possible?
Not as far as I know.
@@GreenBoxMedia Thanks anyway
Still not working after formatting to exFat - the t7 shield is showing on the iphone but read only
Have you by any chance enabled the Samsung encryption? The disk cannot be encrypted to work with the iphone.
@@GreenBoxMedia Sheesh!!! Thank you very much - this had me so frustrated - i've prob formatted this guy 10 times already wondering what was wrong - FINALLY its transferring files
i cant play those exFAT vids on my pc how to fix that
You need a computer and software that can handle those files. Like a Mac Book Pro and Final Cut Pro
mine only says NTFS?
The iPhone won't be able to use an NTFS drive.
Formatted to ExFat on windows, iPhone does not detect the drive at all. But works in an Android phone.
make sure the drive is NOT encrypted
@@GreenBoxMedia drive wasn't encrypted. Just did a plain format on the entire drive to exfat and plugged it in directly after it. Does not seem to work :(
Same here. If its in ntfs it is read only but when i format to exFAT it does not detect :(
