    Great explanation!
What is the volume of the small bioreactor you were talking about at the end of the video ?

Thank you! I am not 100% sure what you mean. A shake flask we are talking about a few L max, a bench scale reactor you might want to try (5-50L) what the influence of different parameters is.

Thank you for the clarification Maroles, I appreciate it

Another question: do you use any simulation software to determine what bioreactor characteristics you want? For instance what scale up process effects would occur? Such as many process engineers use Aspentech Plus or ChemCad to do reactor calculations when designing a plant.

Yes, we use Aspen Plus (it is not my expertise though). I do use equations for mass and energy balances which we solve via MatLab. For instance, see video on Monod kinetics

Yes! Another great video! I am always so happy when another video comes out :)
As you talked in this video about cost and that mammalian bioprocesses are more expensive, could you perhaps make a video on the cost considerations for an industrial bioprocess example or go over a Techno Economic Analysis? For instance like the Starch example or a fermentation process?

*Quorn. I meant Quorn example instead of Starch.

Thanks for the tips! Something I have to consider; I normally work with other people to do Techno Economic Analysis but it is something I want to learn about more myself
