Such a great little song. It’s catchy, jaunty, heroic, steeped in early 20th-century American propaganda-film nostalgia, and gets you swept up, but every so often you get these hints at old colonialist mythology, the kind that motivated a lot of “adventurers”, just to remind you that this guy is indeed the villain.
