The Pika Hat is a really cool card associated with one of the greatest, if not the greatest painter of all time. And it's a rare promo card to boot. It might be easy to find supply now, but there is obviously tons of demand for it, so supply will dry up. Look at the Munch Pikachu, it's worth thousands of dollars. Maybe there are more copies of the Van Gogh, but the demand might be MUCH MUCH higher. The hobby has boomed exponentially since 2018.
@Itwasneveraphasecards sure but that's probably because you don't feel connected to Van Gogh as an artist as a painter, correct? You like Louigi or one of the Poncho's because the characters are nostalgic for you I assume? Plus, this art is not cartoony like the majority of Pokémon cards are. Tastes of course differ but there's been way less special promo cards in the past that are way more expensive than this one.😛
@@Itwasneveraphasecards I love the Mario card. The others are nice too. You're not even interested in picking *one* up just in case it blows up?? I'm not saying you have to love it, but if it becomes a super expensive card, at least you have one for your collection.
A one time promotion of the popularity of the Van Gogh pikachu being valuable makes a lot more sense to me then the whole Pokémon center stamped promo topic.
I never appreciated the rainbow cards until I seen a few in person. In the sun and under the right light they look fantastic and you’ll come to appreciate them. In a binder or on a screen not so much. I really like them now. The sparkle they give off is great!
The amount of people that came back into the hobby is massive. Theyre picking up all the cards they missed since they quit. I expect Felt Hat to increase a LOT more. I got mine for $210 psa10
Nice! I recently got one for $335. If I can scrounge up the cash, I might try for another one, or maybe a raw one, before it gets too far out of reach for me.
@BlueToronto its still a really good pick up in the long run. This past year proved that population count means absolutely nothing. Cards with 20-30k population in PSA10 are still climbing. The amount of people returning with adult money far exceeds the pop count.
Awesome video! Not a big fan of the bubble Mew, but it shows its not always about what we as individuals like, its about what the market/buyers likes. Its always good to see Mew getting some love though. Didn't realize how close to 10k sub you were. Hopefully 10k before the end of the year.
Ok I been holding off on buying Gengar vmax from fusion strike. It seems like he’s just rising everyday. Should I just pull the trigger and go out to look for him now and buy?
What are your thoughts on the Radiant Charizard? Do you think this card will have a pump in a few years? I opened close to 400 packs and never pulled one, while others pulled 20+. So I'm not sure how abundant that card is. But I have a feeling it might be one that does go up I'm value. What are your thoughts? Tia.
I’m guessing you’re talking about the crown zenith one and not the Pokemon go one. The pull rates are about 1/50 for that card so you have definitely had some bad luck. With it being so easy to pull and 623 copies on TCG player right now I don’t really see it taking off too much.
@Itwasneveraphasecards thank you for your quick response. And yes the CZ version. My luck wasn't what great with the Zard, but I pulled all the top cards except the mewtwo, so I was pretty happy with that set. Got me spoiled in a way lol.
What’s there to not GET about the pikachu Van Gogh, besides personal feelings against the card? It’s Pikachu AND Van Gogh + a controversial release + all the people searching back for cool cards they missed + Surging sparks making a few special Pikachu cards up in price with it. You also have Pokemon fans, Art fans and collectible fans wanting this card. There’s no more re-release so of course it is going to get dried up. Those who want it now gotta pay to get it. They had a whole year at $100. Appearance wise it is also one of the most recognizable Pikachu promos out there. It has achieved its purpose.
I will never understand the van Gogh Pikachu. I’m with you unless the card was $15 or less only than what I buy it. The art is OK but nothing special. There’s no texture of any kind. And on top of that, I don’t even know what the pop report is it’s a ridiculous number of 10s. I don’t know why anyone’s buying this card at this price, but I guess just tell you how much it has
The Van Gogh Pika has the same going for it like the Munch scream promo cards. Art meets Pokemon: what is not to like? Little Pokemon art master pieces. And sure, there was a time where it was free with a purchase via PKC or visit to the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. It got restocked via other shops after the rampage. It was readily available between say september 23 and March 24 in the Netherlands. I've got 13 copies, 9 copies PSA 10, 1 copy PSA 9, 3 copies in the grading proces atm. Cost me nothing for the museum + 3 free copies first weekend. Bought 30 usd Pokemon product to get the other 10 so 13 copies for 300 usd. 200 usd grading cost later and my cost price per card is 50. Good luck finding a raw copy for 30 - 50 nowadays. It gives me opportunity to invest into the scream Pika / Mimikyu which I do not own yet. Give it time like the scream promo's and it will rise more although the pop is what 20k nowadays? People from all over the world want one like the Yu nagaba / Scream ones. Or not, as you clearly told. Than pass on it and buy something else.
Pikachu Van Gogh will be so overprinted they said, it will be a 10$ card they said🤣
Some channels I follow (with guys who I respect) had some terrible takes like, "I'll probably pick up a few when they're down under $40"
Pikachu Van Gogh has 30k PSA 10 pop and 24k PSA 9 pop… insanely high pop but demand is keeping the price high
Just shows that the loudest in the are the minority in the hobby, and their opinions don’t affect the market.
You also need remember its not just a card van gogh its self makes it nice would of been this crazy with most pokemon @Otot_B
Lol so true, that was some real bs. As soon as it hit it's floor which was like $85-90 that was the time to pick them up.

Yeah I would rather have the Mario/luigi pika or a poncho over the much and Van Gogh

Being printed in only English has also helped it a lot

Manage to pick up a few psa 10 Yu Nagaba sets on the dip. Nice to see it get some love again. Also nice to see grey felt pika moving again
Pikachu Van Gogh is one of the best looking Pokemon cards made, it sucks that it was made available how it was.
I feel that way about a lot of promos and wish they were harder to get

True lots of people coming back all the time
Got my PSA 10 yu nagaba set of evee promos. Hope it keeps going up.
Brilliant Stars sold out at the pokemon center, boxes should be going up! Alt art charizard too!!!! Lets GOOOOOOO
I love the Charizard V 154!
I love the Van Gogh. If I can ever get my hands on one, I will be so happy!! 😊😊😊 I totally dig it 😎😎😎

That’s my goal I would love to do it by the end of the year.
5:14 I placed two separate TCG orders, and got one in each box.
It's an iconic card. IDK what to tell you.
Always great content 🔥🔥🔥
Keep it coming!
Thanks so much!
Ok I been holding off on buying Gengar vmax from fusion strike. It seems like he’s just rising everyday. Should I just pull the trigger and go out to look for him now and buy?
Probably time to buy. I would.
It’s about at it’s one year high with only 27 copies left on TCG player. It’s probably gonna run more until the market cools off
happy to see Van Gogh Pika pop again!
Does any company make wall posters resembling pokemon cards?
Not that I’m aware of. If you can find an uncut sheet that’s the best option but usually expensive
@Itwasneveraphasecards bummer. Ok appreciate it

got a psa 10 yveltal!
Pika van gogh is like poncho pika 😉
I like the Ponchos way more personally
Clothed pikachu. That’s it. I don’t make the rules
😂

I mean I get what it is. I just would never buy it at these prices personally. I don’t blame any one who does just not my cup of tea
Lmaoooo i have the same exact sentiments as you when it comes to the Van Gogh pikachu

That’s a lot of copies nice work! For me I would rather spend way more for a Mario/luigi or poncho pikachu than the Van Gogh.
Van Gogh card is from the Van Gogh art museum I think this is under priced still….its collectible by art collectors and Pokémon collectors
