That $250 tire tagline didn't get the views you expected huh?😂
*I used $220 tires on the track 15yrs ago. And NOBODY goes 60mph on the track🤦

I guess so! That's social media for you, throw shit at a wall and see what sticks!

@popsgarage_nc yeah, you sure said a lot of incorrect information here too😂 And I assure you, you don't wanna ride one of these tires on the road. They're pretty terrible on a concrete velodrome. And there's good reason why few still use tires like this, even on wooden tracks.

@@themarwanrahal car tires...no good car tires are that cheap. Glued tubulars are significantly faster than tape. And tread pattern does nothing for grip in the rain with a road bike tire. We don't hit speeds high enough to hydroplane due to how narrow the tires are and what people weigh. And these definitely wouldn't last 300miles on pavement. You'd also be wearing them down to cotton, not kevlar. Some fast tubulars use silk. Track tire casings need to be flexible, not puncture resistant which is why they're never going to have kevlar casings.
*Also, no idea why you'd wanna ride tubulars on the road. In a few years, most track cyclists will be running clinchers. Ganna's world record pursuit was run on clinchers and Ganna and Dygert both won their pursuit world titles on clinchers. Everyone will be following soon enough.

      A) Never said they were good just said they were car tires, generalist thing many can relate to, plus why would I need performance tires on a farm truck?
      B) As stated various times in the video, glued tubulars do provide better seal to the rim which in turn causes better power output- agreed with you
      C) I wouldn't necessarily agree with that, tread pattern does have minor significance but as you stated, yes, not a monumental difference (a treaded tire will always have more grip in the rain than a race slick tire)
      D) Thanks for that info, that's something new!
      E) tbh mileage depends on how you ride them but yea, not to far off, agreed
      F) There are different compounds in different tires as stated in the video, my fault on a subconscious slip up!
      G) Those last few points are solid! Thanks for that info
And for your last paragraph I would route you to the video prior to this, its mainly for fun purposes, fixed gear street culture: ua-cam.com/video/yAxqtgtIcE8/v-deo.html
You seem like a smart guy! How long have you been riding track/FXD?

The bike maintenance is kind of distracting when you're talking about a different subject. But no, I'd rather buy 5 GP5000s tbh

I guess to each is own, idk what else I'd fill the time with honestly - pngs kinda brain numb the audience, but i'm open to suggestions!!!

As a counterpoint, I like the bike maintenance video. Somewhat cathartic. 😊 if it's distracting, I'd just listen and turn off the video. PS: $250 on wheels! That's the stuff of champions. Hope you feel the diff as opposed to the $100 ones 😅

@@themarwanrahalmaybe do an actual bike maintenance where you talk about the actual work you're doing lol I'd actually be interested in that
