I used to order chicken tava and cheesy bread when I did a TDY at Incirlik 15 years ago and I still crave it to this day. Every now and then I try to find it in the states with no luck. Thanks for the video
Spice mix is just Tomato paste, oregano and sumac. I spent some time in their kitchen too with a translator. Sorry for the delay but I just found this video lol.
how I made this, one serving: 1 fresh chicken breast cut into cubes 12 ounces diced tomatoes 1/4 portion of a white onion (thinly sliced) 1/4 portion of a red bell pepper (thinly sliced) heaping handful of diced mushrooms 6-8 ounces mozzarella 1tbs chili paste 1tsp crushed red pepper 1tsp black pepper 1tsp garlic powder 1tsp paprika 1tsp oregano 1/2tsp salt cooked at 350 for about 30min if i missed something or you have something to add, please comment. -VAQ 128

I'd love to go back to Incirlik just for the chicken tava at Moonlights, Mujdat's and other places.
Damn I miss Moonlight food. At Incirlik back in 2006
I wish they had actually said what kind of spices were in that spice mix...its been 4 years since I've been to Incirlik and I miss that tava.

@@danielcarroll989 Coincidentally I just bought some sumac so I may give that a go. Thanks!
Where was Moonlight? When I was stationed there back in the early 90's, The Red Onion and BP Restaurant were the two places to go.
Moonlight was right across from the front gate when I was there circa 1995. Mujdat's was my favorite though.
Is this the Moonlight in the alley in Incirlik?
Yes it is. I use to work there.
Did you ever find out what spices they use? looked like red crushed pepper but sure there was more to it then just that.
